Welp, THAT definitely broke whatever Illusion Juliet was under.

"Juliet!"  Nathan 100% runs over to her immediately as soon as that Horn Drill connected and sent her flying.  He checks her over as soon as the battle is over to make sure she's okay...

...phew, no major wounds.  He should probably still send Juliet to the PC, though, just in case...as soon as he saw that Solomon's Hidden Power spelled out Horn Drill...his heart skipped a beat.  And then another when Seaking actually used it...

...at least everything turned out okay...and that Dratini...no, that shiny Dratini...they helped.

They actually helped.

Nathan recalls Juliet into her Great Ball after whispering a quiet, "Thank you.  I'll get you some proper medical attention ASAP.  You definitely deserve a break now."  Juliet is sent to the PC.  Seaking takes her place (for now).

Once that's finished, Nathan kneels by the water's edge.  "Hey, Dratini.  Thanks for your help there.  That could have been a lot worse if ya hadn't decided to help.  So...why'd ya decide to help, if I may ask?  Just 'cuz?  Or...was there a particular reason?  Like...a good feeling about something, maybe?"

Solomon's dusting himself off in the background.  Goodness, what a brute that Seaking turned out to be...

"*Sigh* Guess choice we dont have it seems. Gustav! Use 3 Muddy Water on those Gligars! They dont stand a chance against your strong water moves! Focus on those Gligar, but dont hit that strange looking Pikachu! Onix! Use three Rock Slide in the most weakned Gligar!"

When one of those Gligar get enough Pain with -2 or -3 of Pain penalization, I gonna use 2 Safari Balls. Want to capture at least one of them.

Muddy Water Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Channel (3) - Actions (3/4/5) = 9D6/8D6/7D6
Damage: Power (3) + STR (4) + STAB (1) + SE (1) = 8D6+1
Effect: D3 to reduce foe accuracy. Its also hit all foes.

Rock Slide Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Channel (3) - Accuracy (1) - Actions (3) = 8D6/7D6/6D6
Damage: Power (3) + STR (4) + STAB (1) = 8D6
Effect: D3 to flinch the foe.

Extra notes: Dont forget Onix is holding the everlink armor, so he have a natural 6 defense.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Dratini nods at that last suggestion: a good feeling about something.

"Well, that's definitely good to hear.  Could I ask ya if you could help me with something else, then?  Ya see, I was actually entrusted with a very, very important task, and I was actually thinking that a Dratini might be able to help me with it.  There's a very important pokemon egg I need to care for.  Here, let me show you..."

Nathan digs through his bag and pulls out the Dratini egg to show it to the shiny Dratini.

"You recognize what kind of pokemon egg this is, right?  Could I ask ya to help me with raising the young one?  I know a few things about Dragons, but there isn't anything quite like having a fellow member of the species help out when it comes to raising any young pokemon.  And you definitely look like a strong, courageous little fellow.  I think you'd definitely be a big help."

First thing that Terra does (After his morning routine and some breakfast, of course) is to go to his PC to see if Duskull and Mawile are back from Disobedience Camp, and upon discovering that they are he switches them into his party (replacing Edmundi the Bastiodon and Basteele, and switching out Anubi for Shiranui) and head to one of the Center's private rooms to check up on them. Its been been awhile since he's really interacted with any of them - especially his grouchy ghost (For a regrettably good reason) - and he wanted to observe the result the Shetler had on improving their temperments , so why not hit two Pidgies with one stone and do both?

Plus, he had some gifts to give to his grim undertaker, which would hopefully make them even more charitable to a genuine partnership and friendship!

When he gets there, he first releases Mawile and crouches down to greet her with a soft, warm smile.

"Hello Mawile. Doing well? Did you like camp......and make any friends there? Learn something new?"

He then brings out a plate that's been loaded up with fresh fruit and pastries from the cafeteria, and offers it to her.

"Hungry? Here. *Smiles* Plenty of food, so eat all you want."

Later on (After he's through spending some time with his piercing pixie), he summons Duskull, and regarded the dread specter with both caution and respect as he nodded to them. It should be noted that Terra's meeting with Duskull alone in an attempt to not feel intimidated/resentful of being watched for trouble, but if they try anything the sagely monk will not hesitate to send out his brother Shiranui in a blink of an eye to tell them to Knock Off with the shenanigans.

"Hello, Duskull. How......are you feeling? Good? Bad? Been long time since we talked, so......want to know how you are doing. Help too, if I can......or you want. Well?"

Safari Gligar Round 1

Muddy Water 1, held back
(3)(6)(6)(6)(6)(5) (1)(3)(6) Critical!
(8)(2)(2)(6)(6)(1) (6) Gligar take 3 dmg 3/6hp -2 pain
CD: (1)(4)(3)

All three immediately attack Gustav! One goes for Onix, not knowing what he is.

Slash 1A-C
(3)(5)(1)(6)(2)(5) (2)
(3)(6)(3)(4)(5)(4) (4) Critical hit
(5)(6)(6)(5)(2)(5) (5) Critical hit
(2)
(4)(1)(3)
(6)(6) Clawitzer and Delta-Onix take 1 lethal dmg.

Rock Slide 1, held back
(2)(2)(1)(3)(1)(4) (4)(4)
(2)(3)(6)(2)(6) Gligar take 1 dmg 2/6 hp -2 pain
CD: (2)(6)(1)

Gligar flinch 2

Safari Ball 1
(6)(1)(3)(2) v (3)(2)(3)(1)

Gotcha! Gligar A was caught!

Pikachu is leaping up and biting at the Gligar, but not doing any damage to them for some reason.

Safari Ball 2
(5)(5)(2)(1) v (5)(1)(2)(4) You don't catch that Gligar, but the ball doesn't break either.

It's not safe to lower their HP any further without risking fainting them.

But they flinched, so that's the end of the round.

Dratini is still hesitant. It's not sure how it would be to live outside of nice clear running water like this.

Duskull's attitude has changed notably. He's a lot more playful now, more like the disobedience of Genie than a sullen ghost. He enjoys the company of Mawile in particular. He's still pretty mean to Terra, doesn't really respect him, but I'd say he has more respect for civilization now.

"I know I'm asking a lot of you.  How about we look at it this way, though: you had a good feeling about this, right?  This might be a once in a lifetime chance.  Us meeting each other...something like this might not happen again, or at least not in the exact same way.  I had a good feeling about coming here, too, and I'd like to see where this might lead.  So...how about you?"

"And ya know, I wouldn't mind visiting other bodies of water suitable for Dratini, either. Maybe the tarns at the summits of the Great Divide...or maybe a trip to Lake Chicory...I've heard there are some beautiful Dragonair in the bays, too...this wouldn't be the last time you'd see a clear body of water to swim around in to your heart's content, I can promise you that much. I'm probably going to visit ALL of them eventually for one reason or another."

Terra doesn't really mind the disrespect he's received from the now gregarious ghost, as he's had ample experience in dealing with such attitudes in the past from Basteele, the afformentioned Genie, and who knows how many people back home. He also expected they would still dislike him intensely, since the Shelter volunteers could only do so much about a Pokemon's issues (Their social workers, not miracle workers!) and he hadn't proven himself to them yet/done anything special for them, so their overall rudeness didn't offend nor hurt him. Disappoint him a bit, perhaps, but he didn't show it nor let it show, nor let it ruin his mood or colour his interactions with them.

Speaking of which, the steely brawler wasdelighted by Duskull's more whimsical, playful disposition, as seeing them so happy now was much better than plain miserable/hateful - even though it briefly caused a bead of cold sweat to roll down his back

'Oh no.......he is like Genie now. Not sure if I can handle two of them.......*Grows serious* ....But I must, and will. ......Hopefully he will not cause to much trouble like her, though.....'

He closed his eyes and shook his head slightly to dispel such a though - now was not the time for them; never, ideally - and focused on the dread specter having a great time with Mawile (Who I imagine is acting like a mischevious trickster with an edge), the sight alone bringing a wide smile to his face. Even though they weren't true partners with him yet, they were able to and willing to form friendships with his other Pokemon, and that alone gave him great comfort and hope that one day he too would become their friend.

After letting them bond and play for a bit, Terra coughed into his fist to get Duskull's attention, and when he had it he slowly and carefully reached into his pockets, and pulled out two Items for them to see: TM Wil-lo-wisp and the Spell Tag. He looked them in the eye.....and presented them to them.

"Here. These are gifts. For [i]you[i]. TM Wil-lo-wisp to.....give control of Burning flames to you, and a Spell Tag to strength your Ghost powers. Promised I would take care of you and make you stronger, so....accept them please."

Saying thus, he awaits their reaction with great patience, and a little trepidation.
