Figures as much since we're in Area 6.  Nathan just sighs as he releases two pokemon with a type advantage against Victreebell!  "Gallade, Swiftfire, scare that plant off, please.  And if it doesn't move, we'll make it move."

(Well...Heart was using this cloths he have keep from the Little Cup a long time since its perfect for the song. As for Eletric Guitar of choose...how a Dean Razorback as choice. Red with flames around. Its the perfect match. Also, how much money did Heart get from possible donations of the crowd Meowth get @Iron? Remember that any money gained is doubled thanks to Amulet Coin)

Heart didnt expected so many people around. He would be normally be very nervous, but after facing Gym Battles and Cups like Little Cup or Safari Cups, he is already used it to many people watching. With such quantity of people he decided to stay in the Top of D-Onix head, trying to have a better view of so many people.

He wave his hands trying to hiding his a bit shy side and also trying to make hear his words.

"HELLO THERE CRESS CITY! YOU ALL ARE A WONDERFULL CROWD! THANK YOU FOR COMING HEAR THIS SONG! DIDNT EXPECTED SO MANY TO COME!"

"ANYWAY, THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN! BUT THERE IS OTHER ONES WHO DESERVED A GREATER PRAISE!"

Heart then with one hand nod in the direction of each of his Pokemons.

"MY POKEMONS! WITHOUT THEM, THIS SONG AND PERFORMANCE WOULD NEVER BE POSSIBLE! THIS ONLY SHOW THE POTENTIAL OF THE SYNC BETWEEN HUMAN AND POKEMON! PLEASE, A BIG CLAP OF HANDS TO THE TRUE STARS TODAY: ONIX! VIKTOR THE TREVENANT! NIDORINA! HONCHKROW! ALOLA GEODUDE! AND MEOWTH! THIS GUYS IS THE GREAT STARS TODAY! BE CRESS CITY CONTINUE TO BE THE SYMBOL OF THE ART AND CULTURE BETWEEN POKEMON AND HUMANS!"

He nod in direction to all his Pokemon, and for the people and Pokemon around Cress City.

"MY NAME IS HEART! TRAINER IN A JOURNEY! MAY THE EARTHPOWER BLESS THE PATH YOU ALL! WHATEVER BE YOUR CHOICE!"

The final test was free battles between the candidates, but I didn't get that far, because of a slight accident involving the Drifblim and my Banette, I had a falling out with the gym. Besides, some of the other trainers there had gone completely bonkers, as  they didn't have everything it takes to fully master using Ghost-types. Most people that aren't strong-willed enough are driven crazy by the influence that Ghost Pokemon have." When Spira hears 'Super Contest' he raises an eyebrow, "Super Contests? Never heard of those." ((Imma say they weren't widely practiced in Sinnoh for another 30 years after Spira left Sinnoh.))

*Flashback!*

"Ah yeah, right...1925...probably weren't many female Gym Leaders back then...or in most important and/or prestigious positions...hmmm...hm?  Accident?  What do you mean by..."

Nathan looks confused by that for a moment, until what Spira means exactly dawns on him.  Spira said that Banette was female, the event involved the Leader's Drifblim too, and Spira didn't have a Banette when they met him, so...

"...oh.  You mean that kind of 'accident'...so, uh...what happened to that Banette, then?"

As for Spira's comment on Ghost trainers going bonkers, Nathan just sighs.  "...well, given that we have the Skull Ruins, a place infested with all kinds of nasty Ghosts that are almost all seemingly trying to lead astray and/or kill all who enter the place...I could see that being a problem, yeah...techniques for training them have probably come a long way in the last 90 years, though...and I don't think Fantina, the current Hearthome Gym Leader, is the kind of person who would let her gym trainers go crazy from trying to train her favorite type..."

Nathan shakes his head in slight exasperation and shrugs his shoulders.  "...but what do I know, eh?  Ghosts aren't a very popular type in this region, after all.  Most Creshireans just try to avoid them altogether.  Chuckles, the current Corsage Gym Leader, is one of the very few trainers in this region who specializes in using the type.  The port town is a lot more solemn these days than it was almost 100 years ago.  Didn't help that it was being plagued by unnatural nightmares, either..."  And that comment would probably strike Spira as rather odd and ominous, given that there's one pokemon he can immediately think of with an ability like that...

Nathan quickly moves on to the next topic, chatty as usual, but Spira can always ask questions about stuff Nathan has said.

"Oh yeah, Contests.  Almost forgot that they weren't around in 1925...just to give ya a basic rundown of what Pokemon Contests are, they're essentially a form of pokemon competition where the main goal is for your pokemon to look their best rather than to KO the entire opposing team.  It was invented in the 50s in Hoenn, and eventually spread to Sinnoh, where they added the 'Super' to the title because they did their own personal spin on some of the rules.  The competition's spread to the Tohjo area recently as well thanks to some really dedicated trainers.  We don't have Pokemon Contests here in this region, unfortunately.  To be perfectly honest, I'd love to try it one day, though, just to experience what it's like.  Some trainers dedicate their entire careers to earning Contest Ribbons instead of Gym Badges."

When he hears about the unnatural nightmares, he gets strangely silent. [Darkrai, huh, hopefully I can find it soon, though it might not be the same one...] Spira looks a little troubled when he thinks that. "Contests do sound interesting, might give 'em a try when I eventually go back to Sinnoh." *Flashback end from Spira's side*

*Flashback!*

"...ah...I see...well, I hope she's found some peace, then..."

Gallade nudges Nathan when he notices how troubled Spira is after Nathan mentioned Corsage's nightmares.  "Oh, uh...don't worry about the nightmares, Spira.  We took care of the troublemakers that were causing it.  That was several weeks ago, and the town should be back to its usual gloomy self by now."  That comment might surprise Spira a little.  Maybe.

And Nathan has one more topic to address...

"...speaking of a return to Sinnoh...is there anyone who might have...wondered where you went?"

It doesn't really understand the threat of a Psychic type, but Swiftfire has a chance to scare it off because it knows about fire.

(6)(3)(6)(5)(5)(5) (2)(6)(4) = 7, which is how many Will Victreebel has. Victreebel shrinks back into the bushes.

2XP for Gallade, Swiftfire, and Nathan.

Calam comes back out and eagerly leads the the way to what he was sensing earlier. Yep, it's Angela alright. She's clutching a fully inflated oversized Jigglypuff, floating a few feet above the ground, and raining down attacks on an Ariados while dodging its webs. She can't sustain this strategy very long, though. When she touches ground, she sees Calam and smiles. There's a big flash of pink light and the sound of a Pokeball, and Ariados is nowhere to be seen.

"Well, hello, gorgeous. Where's your master?"

Meowth gets $250 in tips, doubled by the amulet coin = $500. Cress City isn't big on asking for autographs from celebrities, though they do like signed copies of art. Which could include an album or something, for a musician.

"Not really, I've been pretty much a loner for the past, well from my perspective, 4 years."  He doesn't say anymore concerning that.

Nice.  I'll definitely take not having to fight a status inflicting plant before a gym battle.  No need for anyone to get hurt unnecessarily, right?

Anyways, moving on...

Calam looks a little puzzled and somewhat intrigued by Angela.  Gourgeous?  That's a new one.  Gourgeous isn't a word that most would use to describe him...

Nathan's voice responds to Angela's question from the direction Calam came.  "Master probably isn't the correct term to use.  I'd say we're more like really good friends, particularly after everything we've been through together."

Nathan and Gallade then walk forward and stand next to Calam.  The SPARE CHANGE shirt Nathan's wearing today has an Absol pictured on it. "Hello again, Angela.  Hope the wild pokemon haven't worn your pokemon down a whole bunch while my pokemon and I were warming up."

"...well, I'm sure at least one person might have been worried...people usually are when individuals just vanish without warning..."

He sighs.

"...I get the message, though.  Ya ever change your mind, though...well, maybe I could help dig up some info on the past, figure out if there's anyone you might be related to around."

Nathan lets out a breath, then wraps up the conversation.  "Well, I've got a gym battle to warm up for, so I'll catch ya later.  If ya don't hear much from me tomorrow, it'll probably be because I'll be in Area 6 of the Safari Zone.  Ya ever want a rematch in the future, I'll be more than happy to oblige the request.  See ya."

Nathan and Gallade both wave farewell to Spira, then proceed to head to their training at the end of the day.

My, this conversation certainly gave both Spira and Nathan a lot to think about, didn't it?

*Flashback End*
