The Nuzzle attack does nothing at all, strangely. That makes D-Pikachu pretty nervous!
Xatu does a Future Sight, however:
Future Sight
(5)(6)(5)(1)(4)(3) (2)(5)(6)(6)(2)(6) It will be a critical hit!
A round passes, and a strange humming emanates from the pond. It splits into three part harmony. When the Future Sight strikes, it causes a giant cannonball, splashing a bunch of water and mud out of the pond!
Which reveals a score of Tympole, a few fat Palpitoad, and two giant Seismitoad sitting in the mud. The Palpitoad provide percussion with a smacking sound from their sound organs. The Tympole sing the high harmony, and the two Seismitoad provide a bass so deep and loud it is shaking the meadow. The effect I'm picturing sounds a little like this song, except wordless of course.
They don't seem aggressive, though the ones that took the Future Sight attack have wriggled away into the mud and ceased singing. The rest just seem to be enjoying themselves. The effect feels like they are singing to celebrate something or someone, though.
Heart bow in respect towards the Water/Ground Pokemon, in apology for the future sight. "I sorry for that great family of Pokemons. I get myself scare after see the odd movement of the Water, and I already get nuked by a few Electrode Explosion. I beg for forgiviness for Future Sight you guys." Then Heart have a idea. He grab the Pokeballs of Caesar, Rose and Netune and ask to the family of Water/Ground ground band. "Mind if I and my other Pokemon join with you guys to sing and celebrate too? This is a apologize for my previous behavior. I have some music instruments who could help." Heart put out the Shamisen, Brass Drum and the Acoustic Guitar.
If they permit @Iron, Heart, Xatu, D-Pikachu, Rose, Netune and Caesar will join with the music song! In this case Iron what instruments is better for this situation?
The frogs happily allow you to join their celebration. They swivel to point their faces northwest.
The drum is perfect for this, but the two stringed instruments could help as well.

Spira, what item do you give Scyther? There is a PC here at the tourist trap, so that's not a problem.
1. (3)(2)(4) = 9, almost average. Trapinch is traded for a Misdreavus.
Gotcha! Misdreavus was caught!
2/2/2
Levitate
Has all its moves up to 23XP.
2. (4)(5) = 9 Just a touch uncommon. Scyther is traded for a Phanpy.
Gotcha! Phanpy was caught!
2/2/0
Pick Up
Has all its moves up to 33XP.
Item withheld until you tell me what item you gave Scyther.
3. (4)(1)(2) = 6, which is uncommon on a 3d6 curve. Underized Azurill is traded for a Totodile.
Gotcha! Totodile was caught!
2/2/1
Torrent
Has all its moves up to 20XP, and also Slash.

For just a split second, Terra's giant shadow on the wall and his steely essence convinces the Onix it has run into a Steelix. It swerves aside, then realizes its mistake and swings back around. It slows him down enough for Anubi to close that distance, a joyous, reckless look in his eyes!
"Keep it simple, Mizu! Onix don't usually like Water! Gallade, see if you can buy us some time, then press the assault as well! And everyone be careful if Onix decides to Dig!"
Mizu gets to spam Aqua Tail over and over! If Terra can manage to intimidate this thing, then maybe fighting it won't be so bad after all!
Aqua Tail x5
Acc: 14 base - 1 Acc - 5/6/7/8/9 =8/7/6/5/4 D6
Dmg: 4 Str + 3 Pow + QE = 7 D6 base + 2 damage
Eff: Flinch (3) (cuz the writers decided to buff it for some reason)
Gallade leads his actions with an attempted Telekinesis into Hypnosis combo to hopefully buy some time, following up with Leaf Blades!
Telekinesis 1
Acc: 13 - 5 = 8 D6
Eff: It may not fully lift Onix (so it won't be immune to Ground moves), but we'll still be able to hit it with everything we're aiming in its direction!
Hypnosis 2
Acc: 13 base - 4 Acc - 6 = 3 D6
Eff: Nap time!
Leaf Blade 3-5 (non-lethal)
Acc: 14 - 7/8/9 = 7/6/5 D6
Dmg: 3 + 4 + QE = 7 D6 base + 2 damage
Eff: High crit, so 4 successes crits
Conditional Orders: If Onix avoids Hypnosis 2 by Charging Dig 1 or Flinching Gallade, then Gallade will use Calm Mind 2 instead (13 base accuracy), followed by a Hypnosis 3. On subsequent Dig charges, Gallade will attempt to Evade. In addition, if Onix uses Dig, Mizu will get ready to Evade instead of her next Aqua Tail since she doesn't have anything to buff herself with. Don't want to waste any actions here!
Onix normally have 32-36 HP after accounting for their Vitality, so this is going to be interesting...
Oh, and Nathan will also have a Super Potion ready for Mizu and a (Super) Potion for Gallade (depending on if Gallade's take 6+ damage) if either of them fall to half HP or below.

35XP.
Item check: (1)(2) = 3, rare item.
Phanpy was holding an Experience Share. It was probably traded by mistake but too late now!
You can put this on a Pokemon who isn't in battle and they'll get a share of the XP.

Pachirisu nods, he has met the creatures who live in this crevice. (Who's That Pokemon??)
When you mention the creatures having heard you, you hear the sound of metal on stone far below you/inside the crevices.
That powerful presence she picked up has become weaker?! That's curious and definitely catches Shiva's attention, but it also confuses her a little. Frowning, she draws her guidebook and flips to the map, marks her current position on it and checks what's located North of her. Shouldn't it be the Sunstone Mines? She doesn't dare to even think that it is Shaymin, and from her research and written info the gratidue hedge is lurking somewhere different.
Either way, once that's done she turns towards this neat hidden place again. A biiig and kind smiles forms on her expression as Pachi confirms her thoughts to Shiva! " So you know them, that's sweet!~ These dear, sweet and very very rare fairies from the moon hiiiigh up there..." She points up to this currently not visibly celestial body. "That means they DO come out from within this mountain sometimes, Pachirisu? And what do they actually do down there, mining...?"
She also shreeks a bit in excitement as that sound of metal on stone reaches her, feels like a reply that 'yes, we know that you're here, human'. She places her ear onto the ground very close to one of the crevices to see where there are more sounds. And, she even tries to respond by fishing a stone and her Sawbuck Knife from her stuff, she forms a 'Hello' in morse code to these hill dwellers.

Onix faints! Gallade makes it look easy, but Anubi and Mizu are celebrating! Mizu in particular is awed.
What an epic battle for the defenders! Mizu and Anubi both gain 1 Happiness and 1 Loyalty!
Huh?
Anubi begins evolving, glowing with light as he does a victory lap! He increases in size and fitness, and becomes a lot more serious. He also learns Final Gambit!
Congratulations! Your Riolu evolved into Lucario!
The battle is worth 24 XP - that's 8 for Mizu, Gallade, and Anubi. Nathan gets 8XP, and Terra gets 6 because he was hanging back a little bit. (If you guys prefer to split that 7-7, go ahead).
Is it just me, or are you guys getting strong?

The presence you feel is a little short of the mines.
A tapping noise comes back to you, but it doesn't seem to be anything in any code or language you know. You're positive that it was a direct response to your own tapping, though.

[(What does 'a little short of the mines' mean, nearby them, does it? English still isn't my mother tongue, and I wish to be sure where this presence dwells.)
That's curious, very curious, and makes Shiva circle the location of the mines on the map even more than it already is with an excited smile. She makes a note beside them about having felt a powerful presence there, emphasizing it with '!!!'. Now she REALLY can't wait to head off and explore these mines not only because they are said to host special rocks shaped like the stylized sun~
She's also thriiiiiiilled to bits as she receives a response towards her greeting from the moony fairies down these crevices. "You heard that , Pachirisu? That's...so dear!" The fact that she can't decipher what they 'said' diminishes her joy a little bit though. She'll send a message down to them once more, this time a little more complex one: This one, it translates to
"...Hey, Cottonee....", she'll adress her beloved fluffball if she gets a response to that too, "Are you maybe up to venture down to them to greet them in person for me? Try to convey to them that I - we - are coming in peace and that I'm very interested in meeting them - Not necessarily to battle or catch one of 'em, no, for now I'd just like to find out what they're doing down this hill!" ^^ Taking a look at the crevices again, they appear big enough for Cottonee to pass through and she should be able to do that with her infiltrating skill.

Yeah, "Just short of" means something is on the way toward a second thing, but not quite to it. So it just means the presence is between you and the mines.
Cottonee can definitely fit into the crevices since they are 4' tall (1.3m). However, she has a lot of trepidation about going in there alone. There's no guarantee the inhabitants are peaceful - a lot of fairies can be enigmatic and unpredictable. And who knows how many are inside?
A tapped response comes back, but again it's just random as far as Shiva can tell.
