[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
I honestly kinda want to avoid option #3.  The Kadabra Chambers are already a strange place as it is.  There's no telling what those minerals might do...

Fair enough! I'll wait and see what the others think of the choices before I change my mind, though. Either way we go about it, we'll be dealing with some form of demon that'll make our chara's lives very eventful.....

Quick question, though.....did you have Nathan bring the Adamant Sphere? That could possibly have some interactions with the strange time properties of the Kadabra Chambers, or possibly even counteract them. Who knows what else it would affect in the Skull Ruins too....

Nathan definitely would have brought it along, just in case.

Iron did note that Nathan knows the Legendary Metals don't have much power in modern times, however.

I vote for Option No.2, which is trying to suprise that thing via coming in from the holes in the nearby wall: Basically an Ambush, yes.  It's definitely worth a try; if it succeeds we are getting a free Action against it, if not, then (I guess) it's coming down to a standard fight one way or the other.

I really really don't want to try digging around that thing, for the reason what happened with Ventus when he once tried down Mount Sentry, and because IT can detect us nevertheless while we are trying to avoid it (my feelings tell me it will do so one way or the other, and I trust them) because it's a partial ghost = can phase through walls, or in this case it's absorbed spirits can.

HOWEVER, what I'm still up to is letting those that aren't really stealthy or those that are very brave and bulky crash the door and catch it's attention while we others sneak in through the holes, like that pincer attack Mika nicely called. That will hopefully raise our chances to semi-suprise it. Candidates to crash the door: Terra and Cosh. Up for it?

I've got a question concerning that, Iron: Are there enough holes in the wall that we all can get in to that beast at the same time to start together at the same Round, or do we have to take turns or something?

The problem with an Ambush is that if you screw one up, then the foe gets a free Action to do whatever it wants in response. Which is a pretty big deal, when you're potentially facing a Legendary/Plot Device Spiritomb, whom judging by its description, lore, and Moveset can really make us regret our life decisions if it tries just regularly. Giving it a free opportunity? You might as well ritually sacrifice yourself to it at that point. Might make it more inclined to be merciful, or just be distracted enough absorbing a new spirit for the rest to get away. You're also discounting the presence of traps or other nasty secrets going the 'easy' way, which alone could royally screw the group over, but.....Legendary Spiritomb.

Fair enough points on the problems Options #3 has, though, but I'm not sure if it can A) Detect us, B) Phase through solid matter, and C) Want to pursue us outside its turf.

The divide and conquer approach works fine with me, though (since I/Terra suggested it in the first place!), if nobody else wants to make Options #3 a possibility. In that case, it best for the Stealth group to time their Ambush after the Brute Force Team caves in the front doors, so that BF draws attention/aggro away from them. I'd appreciate one other party member with Terra in that case, as well as any of the direct combat focused Scims. The rest can go Stealth, and do what's needed to grant everyone a decisive advantage.

Oi, must have missed that. Humm, then I'm changing my vote a bit and let those that WANT to Ambush it and have the proper Stats to do it with good chances to make it, while we others crash down the door to attack the beast directly. In that case, Shiva will likely join in the direct attack. Sounds more fair?

Sounds fair! I want to hear Mika's say on this before I make any final last turn decisions, but if anything else I say the divide and conquer is a good back up!

-Spira's current stealth score is 1, so you are right on him not exactly being stealthy.
I could see a scenario where Spira would go with option one; getting roundabout vengeance for Leigh, though he'd prefer going with option three.

Everybody said their prefered way now, three votes for Option No.3 with two against doing so. Means, we'll be going for trying to avoid the obvious threat by digging and rocksmashing around the door and into the Chambers while hoping that IT doesn't notice us either way.

Okay then, then let's do that!~ I really hope it'll work.

I'm ready to to Digging when everyone else is! He'll have Angie and Solomon out helping him out with that, with the later on constant Alert for Skull Ruins stuff happening!
