[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

The skeleton crackles even as you stare at it. Its backpack is also old enough to be weakened by time, and items are spilling out.

The treasure chest is a great big stone one in the old style. It doesn't have a lock, just a heavy lid.

Alert roll: (2)(2)(3)(3)(6)(1)(1)(5) = 1 success, bad luck.
Stealth: (5)(1)(2)(6)(5)(1) = 2 successes, not all that much better.

No traps! So you approach and try to open the heavy lid. It opens, revealing a glint of gold, but orange legs and two insectoid eyes pop out from the bottom! The whole chest was the backpiece of a big Crustle, and it begins skittering away with you still holding onto the chest's lid, which has now fallen empty.

Retro Pokeball: (2)(2)
Will: (5) It breaks.

Even through the noise of battle and approach, the gigantic Nincada has not awakened. You're not sure it CAN awaken, but it is alive. The skin is splitting, as though it will evolve soon... but actually, the last of those Shedinja you knocked out? That could be almost big enough to fit on its colossal body, if it weren't so swollen.

Yeah, Nathan would loot it.

But not necessarily just for the items.

Is there a trainer card in there as well?  That'll add another name to the missing persons list Nathan is making...

...though it's a bit late for this one to have a happy ending.  Well, at least the current version of the pokedex (and maybe some dates on the trainer card) can provide a rough idea of how long this poor soul has been down here...

Cursing his luck with catching it, he tosses his other Steel Ball at it. It will be repeatedly be pressed against the fainted Shedinja until it's caught.

(I though you gave them all +1 DEX Surprises, but I'm fine with you making things easier for me, so by all means reduce their stats!)

The rapid fire and brutal Rock Blast barrage caused Terra's eyes to widen comically as his partners were soon tenderized by the onslaught without getting a moment to react, but he heaved a great *SIGH* of relief when the dust cleared and both of them were still standing! Never was he more greatful that his training, lifestyle, and alien contact had afforded him and the Pokemon under his command so much resilence and fortitude!

Terra and Mikey were swift to comply with Cosh's orders, and a good thing they did, for he immediately recognize the FISSURES they made! Yowzers, that was a Move he DIDN'T want to be caught up in! Beyond that, he was not too concerned with it or the havok it reeked, though. His main priority was taking care of these boulder blasting beasts now before they could awaken and make a repeat preformance or worse, so collateral damage was not even the slightest bit of concern!

To that end, he recalled Solomon to his ball and let out piercing *Whistle!*, which was meet with Angie descending onto the battlefield and taking the wise king's place! She had been watching everything from on high, and knew how much of a threat these brutes were, so she was going to chomp them up before they could hurt her papa, *SSSSzzzzZ!!!* Mikey, on the other hand, was DETERMINED to take down his opponents, as he was not going to let Rock types beat HIM, ORAH!

"Michael, finish of the weak Rock monsters with Mach Punch! Angie, Bite on the ones not hurt badly! Cosh, continue with what you are doing!"

Orders: Recall Solomon, and send out Angie for a radical gambit with her: Bite 5 times on ALL the Gigalith still healthy/Sturdy has not been triggered (and then moving on to the next available target when he regular ones run out) to try and Flinch them out of their turns, and 5 Mach Punches from Michael (Who's at 7/10 HP thanks to Poison Heal!)! Simple as that, so let's get to it!

Moves:

Michael: 5 Actions - Mach Punch X 5 (STR + 2 + STAB, *Priority 1*)
Angie: 5 Actions - Bite X 5 (STR + 2, *Flinch 5, thanks to Serene Grace!*)
Dice Pool: Brawl (14D6)

This --> [Image: tenor.gif] is Shiva's expressiion as the coin comes to life by the rat's...'powers?' It doesn't need much words to express how AMAZED and SUPRISED and FASCINATED she is that this smol black rodent appearantly features an artistic skill the average human - Keni is all but average - would never be able to master. 'These... these Ruins sport scary and amazing Pokemon at the same time - what IS this place??' she quietly thinks to herself as she rubs the figurative sparkles from her eyes.

But, once she has brushed off the biggest amount and put her glasses back on, the rat was gone. o(TヘTo) "NO!", she intuitively screams out sharply. "Dear lil' black rat, where have you gone? Please come back, I don't mean any harm nor do I want to loot you of your horded treasures....!!" She franky and almost desperately starts to search the nearby area until she spots the rodent poking out to gaze at her from a crack in the wall - a very relieved sigh escapes her at that realization and she quickly relaxes a bit.

This Pokemon appears to be shy or not fond of people, so Shiva believes if she DOES want to make bring her OT to this curious mouse, she'll have to bring up all of her charm without holding back even once!~ She'll start with casting a soft smile to Ratsy before adressing it with the softest of voice that she usually reserves only for Ventus  loved people and Pokemon. "THERE you are... Nice try, but I won't give up that easily!~ By far not.(・ω<)☆  *cough* Nope, honestly, I'm sorry that I disturbed you. But, you see, that's a unique artistic skill you're having, this simply fascinated me! Are you....maybe up to draw a bit more? Come on, please show me.... You'll get more fruit in return if you like."

Drawing her starry hardcover-notebook and paging to a free page, she places it an armlength away from her and as close to the crack in the wall with Ratsy as possible. Will this lure him out?

Looks like about 12 years for poor Boots Malone. Most of what's registered as Caught are Fighting types.

Gotcha! Shedinja A was caught! (no need to roll the Steel Ball against 1 will)
0/0/2
Harden, Scratch, Leech Life, Mind Reader, Confuse Ray, Shadow Sneak

Shedinja A has Wonder Guard. Shedinja B, the slightly bigger one, looks like it might have Levitate instead, and maybe a little extra HP.

Hida KO's the Supersized Nincada, nonlethally.
