2 of each.  I'll roll to see which ones aren't KOed yet.  High is male, low is female.

Both conscious Snover are Female, unfortunately.

She tosses a ball and a Mightyena comes out! "Do what ya do best, just don't take things too far this time. Keep in mind Thunder Fang might not be as effective on these."

Mightyena has 4 base HP.  Do you want to summon a second pokemon?  All of Karen's pokemon (except Rapidash) are small enough to be summoned here without any issue.

"Go, Shellos, if those Snover directly hit you, show off your hidden power, otherwise, use this weather to your advantage!"

Mightyena:
Fire Fang/Ice Fang/Bite/Thunder Fang/Crunch
Mechanics: try to convince him to hold off on Thunder Fang.

Shellos
Conditional: Hidden Power, if attacked physically
otherwise, show off his Blizzard!
Who knows, with Mightyena's high intimidation score, fire, poison and strong ice moves might be enough to scare 'em off.

Battle C Round 1 Initiatives
Octavia: (4) + 7 + 2 = 13
Snover Swarm C: (3) + 8 = 11
Mercury: (2) + 7 = 9
----------------------------------------------

Per usual the blue Sylveon's eager to face ANY foe to protect their beloved caretaker shines through, she bristles her fur, growls angrily and overall is ready to POUNCE. Chatot has started to circle above these Snover's heads, the moment he'll receive his orders he joyfully declares 'Time limit set, countdown starts NOW!!'

"Protect yourself and your ally Octavia, mess with the males ones and then let them see STARS. You please target their weakness Mercury, and then let them hear your VOICE." It's way too cold to pull out the electric guitar to accompany his Pokemon's fight with some hardcore riffs, nah.

----------------------------------------------

Shiny Sylveon with the melodic name starts to wave her ribbons to create a wall made of sparkles and dust.
Accuracy Roll Light Screen 1: 4 Special + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 2 Actions = 9d6
Effect: -1 point of damage from the Snover's Sp.Attacks for 4 Rounds for her and Mercury.
Secondary Effect: It beautifully reflects the snow when an attack hits it.

Then she shows her adorable fairylike side...
Accuracy Roll Captivate 2: 3 Beauty + 4 Contest + 3 Allure - 4 Actions = 7d6
Effect: -2 Sp.Attack for all male Snover.
Secondary Effect: Sylveon are naturally adorable Pokemon. Can't evade this Move.

......before she's summoning stars in a graceful movement!
Accuracy Roll pixilated Swift 3: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 6 Actions = 4d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 2 power of the move + STAB* + Pixilate Bonus = 8d6
Additional notes: Hits all four foes due to 4 points in Special and will do so even if the Accu Roll fails.

Mercury immediately goes for the foe's weakpoint.
Accuracy Roll Heat Wave 1: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 1 Inaccuracy his Ability triggers - 2 Actions = 8d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 3 power of the move, no STAB = 7d6 +2 autodamage on these Snover
Additional notes: Has 1 CD to inflict Burn 1 and hits all four foes. Melts some snow where it lands.

Next he mimics the sound of hailstones crashing onto firm ground.
Accuracy Roll Synchronoise Ice 2: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 4 Actions = 6d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 5 power of the move, no STAB = 9d6
Additional notes: Hits every Ice Type on the battlefield. Soundbased.

Finally he loudly warns that the time's almost over!
Accuracy Roll Hyper Voice 3: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 6 Actions = 4d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 3 power of the move + STAB = 8d6
Additional notes: Hits all four foes due to 4 Special, soundbased.

Keen Eye Ability prevents any accuracy loss on his side, including the one from pain.

Snover Swarm C Round 1

Octavia's claws are doing wonders for making sure she's fast enough to do her job.

Light Screen 1
(6)(2)(2)(2)(2)(2)(5)(2)(6)
A Light Screen protects Octavia and Mercury!

And it's a good thing, too!  Powder Snows incoming!

Powder Snow x4 1
(4)(3)(4)(6)(6)(4)(2) That's a crit
(2)(4)(2)(3)(4)(3)(6)
(3)(1)(5)(4)(1)(3)(2)
(2)(4)(4)(6)(3)(1)(1) Hit 4 times, crit once
2 + 2 + STAB - 3 = 2 D6 - 1, 4 D6 + 1 for the crit (critical hits will ignore Screens in this game)
(1)(5)(1)(2)
(6)(1)
(1)(5)
(2)(3)

Mercury takes 3 damage. 4/7 HP -1 Pain
Octavia takes 0 damage.
I'll also be roling effect chances separately for each target, since I feel one attack statusing everyone it hits with only one check is a bit OP.
(2) (3) (6) (1) Octavia was Frozen!
(6) (1) (2) (1) Mercury was Frozen!  Welp...*shrug*

Unfortunately, that means the Snover get to have their way with the pokemon for the rest of the Round!

Light Screen also only protects against Special Attacks in this game, unlike in Skull Ruins.

Razor Leaf x4 2
(5)(4)(1)(1)
(4)(3)(5)(6)
(1)(6)(4)(4)
(4)(4)(4)(2) Hit 4 times, no crits
(6)(6)
(6)(5)
(3)(3)
(2)(6)

Octavia takes 5 damage! 2/7 HP -2 Pain
Mercury takes 2 damage! 2/7 HP -2 Pain

Ice Shard x4 3
(5)(3)(1)
(1)(3)(6)
(6)(1)(1) Miss
(1)(4)(4) Hit 3 times
(6)(5)

Mercury takes 3 damage and faints!
(4)(4)
(5)(1)

Octavia takes 3 damage and faints!

Well, that didn't go according to plan at all.  That Freeze chance was ruinous.

Octavia and Mercury's trainer may use two trainer items before Round 2 begins since he didn't use any in Round 1. If you Revive a pokemon, I'll reroll their Initiative.

Oh, and the Hail does 1 damage to the trainer, too. 7/8 HP

[Image: tenor.gif] ".....I take back what I was believing, Fortuna DOES hate me today." Now he really wishes that he'd be either at his boss' Gym's mixing unit or at home in-front of the PC, or actually anywhere but here would be fine.

Blue Sylveon manages to throw an excusing glance at her owner and a furious one at the foes before she's returned to her comfy Friend Ball ('Inside the Ball it's nice, but by lovely Master's side it's much better!'). Mercury eagerly and loudly congratulates these Snover before he too is called back into his black-yellow-red Ball: "Ya took exactly 11 seconds to d'feat me, good job, piiiiiing!'

From the next tossed Balls two new battler manifest: At first a bird not much bigger than the previous one  and held in a lavender color, despite her plumage has taken a white shade due to her age, no feather sticks out of place. The 'fans' she's holding appear mindfully groomed even at a short glance, and every flap of her wings expresses a grace that only a highly experienced dancer could display: This Oricorio Sensu must have spent years to perfect her hypnotic moves.
Next is a small reptilian Pokemon that safely lands on the ground more out of luck than not: It's cream- and purple-colored and wears headphones, those nearby can hear the fast and LOUD beats it listens to by default. Paraudio yawns before it turns to their owner to ask non-verbally why he has awoken him from his leisure.

"I've got reasons to bring you up, Core", he adresses the Pokemon, "Let us deal with them quickly, then we can go back to the music - hopefully. Come one, end this..... Just END this, in whatever way you like, bring your very own pyrotechnics up at best. Yurei, you please protect us from the misery of the previous Round repeating itself, then you can show off your talent if you like."

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Moves are unaffected by the Init Order.

Accuracy Roll Safeguard 1: 4 Special + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 2 Actions = 9d6
Effect: Prevents any Status Alignment on my side for the next 4 Rounds - including Frozen.
Secondary Effect: Using this move will always summon this bird's previous owner to provide protection. At the moment only GM knows who that is.

Accuracy Roll Air Cutter 2: 2*Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 4 Actions = 5d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 2 power of the move + STAB = 7d6 +1 autodamage on the Snover
Additional notes: Hits all four foes due to 4 Special and has an increased Crit Rate.

Accuracy Roll Revelation Dance 3: 2*Dext + 4 Contest + 5*Perform - 6 Actions = 5d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 3 power of the move + STAB = 8d6
Additional notes: Ghost Type.

Ohhhhhh, this Paraudio happily agrees on ending things as quick as possible as this means he can go back to listen to these beats undisturbed fastly. He inhales deeply for his first trick:
Accuracy Roll Flamethrower!!! 1: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 2 Actions = 8d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 3 power of the move, no STAB = 7d6 +2 autodamage on one unlucky Snover
Additional notes: Moar fire!~ Has 1DC to inflict a Burn2.

Then proceeds to mess with their mind:
Accuracy Roll Psychiiiiic! 2: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 4 Actions = 6d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 3 power of the move + STAB = 8d6
Additional notes: Has 1CD to reduce one Snover's Sp.Defense by 1.

And then gives these vivid pinetrees a taste of how he dislikes to be disturbed while he's listening to the bass dropping!!!

Accuracy Roll Snaaaaaaaaarl ! 3: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel -1 Inaccuracy- 6 Actions = 3d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 2 power of the move + held Blackglasses + SoundBoost Ability? = 8d6?
Additional notes: Auto-reduces one foe's Special by 1. Soundbased.

  • Light Screen's still active, Round 2/4
  • Shall he fall to half his HP, he'll be patched up with a Potion.
  • Oh, and I saw I don't have the effect of Sound Boost Ability yet since it's an Uranium-exclusive one.... ^_^; My bad. Possibly +1 dice for all soundbased moves?

Snover Swarm B Round 2

Nagi jumps ahead in the initiative again to summon judgmental fire on a poor, unfortunate soul!

Hidden Power Fire 1
(5)(4)(5)(1)(1)(2)(5)
4 + 3 + STAB + 1 Sun - 3 + QE = 6 D6 + 2
(1)(5)(4)(1)(6)(6) Snover G takes 5 damage! 1/6 HP -3 Pain

L: (5)(5)(6)
D: (5)(1)(3)(3) Okay, I guess she'll follow orders for now, even though it means protecting Nagi, too.
(Spirit, I never actually gave 'Sneasel' a 4th point in Loyalty.  Only Nagi got that.  I've corrected that error on the character sheet already)

'Sneasel' waves its claws and...sets up a Light Screen???

Light Screen 1
(6)(6)(3)(1)(2)(4)(4)
Kogeki's team is protected by a Light Screen!

Powder Snow x2 1
(6)(5)(3)(2)(3)(2)(2)
(1)(1)(2)(1) Miss.
5 - 3 = 2 D6
(5)(4)
Nagi takes 0 damage.
'Sneasel takes 1 damage! 7/8 HP
Illusion is broken, revealing that the Beautiful Izanami the Dramsama was the pokemon Kogeki sent out all along!  She wasn't a Sneasel at all!

And now it's her turn again!

...after Nagi uses Calm Mind.  Ooh, the fact that he can so easily usurp her in the turn order ruffles her feathers so!

Calm Mind 2
(6)(4)(6)(2)(2)
+1 Special and Sp Def for Nagi!

Now it's Nami's turn!

L: (2)(5)(3)
D: (2)(5)(4)(5) Nope, she thinks that Nagi has enough protection already as it is!  Time to attack!

Psywave 2
(6)(5)(6)(3)(1)
(6)(3)(1) Snover G takes 1 damage and faints!

Only one Snover remains, but she seems determined to keep fighting!

Razor Leaf 2
(5)(5)(5)(4) That's a crit.
(5)(5)(5)(2)
Nami takes 3 damage! 4/8 HP -2 Pain
Nagi takes 2 damage! 5/7 HP -1 Pain

More ice!

Ice Shard 3
(6)(6)(3)
(6)(1) Nami takes 1 damage 3/8 HP -2 Pain

Nagi and Nami are both decidedly unhappy about that Snover still being around.  They can both agree on one thing, at least.

These Snover are nuisances, and they need to go. Away.

NOW.

Night Shade x2 3
(2) Nami misses.
(1)(6)(3) Nagi hits, though, which annoys Nami somewhat considerably.
(4)(1) Snover H takes 1 damage 5/6 HP

(5) No Poison damage again

Snover E is fainted and Poisoned.
Snover F and G are fainted.
Snover H has 5/6 HP (and is probably about to be fried by Nagi)

Let's see what that last Snover does, shall we?  If she gets 3+ successes on a Will roll, she will continue to fight.

(5)(3)(5)(1)(2) 2 successes.  Nope!  Snover H is outta here!  She does NOT want to face fiery judgement from that weird Fire type!

Snover H flees!

Kogeki, you are now free to assist either Karen or the mystery trainer at the start of Round 3 of their battles (you can pick who you'll help if they're both still fighting the Snover by that point).

Nagi's Leftovers restore 1 HP 6/7 No Pain.  Nami looks jealous of the fact that Nagi gets to hold that restorative item.
