[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
...not to nitpick, but would Shiva even know what these pokemon are called? These things are mythical for a reason, and Volcanion aren't as well documented a species as stuff like Celebi.

She read a thick book about Mythical Pokemon, so yes she definitely would.

Humm, so since these mechanical Volcarona can't be reasoned/mollified to let us pass peacefully AND they are already charging an attack at us, I feel it does come down to a fight then. Unless anyone of you got a different and possibly better idea? Please share if you do! Battlewise, my preferance would be pestering them with SE-moves like I stated here so that we can move on quickly, thankfully these creatures are no real Legends = no plotdevices.

Hey Iron, concerning [quote](...)You can summon Pokemon, but they need a place to land. On Angie works if they are small and don't need much room to run(...)[quote ends], is Primal Glaceon small enough to comfortably fire off his moves from Angie's back, especially if Shiva holds onto him? Second choice is Raphael, as a flyer he should have no problem fighting here, right? If I want to patch him up with a Super Potion BEFORE the fight starts, can I?

You can queue up a Potion as your first Trainer Action.
You'd have to hold Glaceon on your lap, I feel like.

I thought the group was just going to fly on by and avoid fighting the Mecha/Construct Volcanion entirely? If I'm going to make an attempt to fight back at those things, though (Or going to be forced to), I'm waiting until Terra/the group is close enough to the 'ground' to be able to summon their main fighters on more stable/safe footing to duke it out with those menaces, as mid-air fights where one wrong move is insta-death is NOT something I want to engage in.So for now, Terra's going to Evade and Block as many of their attacks as possible until he and the group can complete their descent, then decide from there what I'm going to do.

Uh....I'm not sure if you remember this or not, but in Iron's campaign you CAN spam a single Move up to 5 times in a Round, so that's something to keep in mind. Unless you're using a ton of different Moves to determine what they're 'weak' to or not and/or try to give them multiple Statuses?

Oh! That's efficient, yes. Given Shiva's on Angie's back she is soft-forced to descent with her and Terra, which I'm perfectly fine with though. In that case, shall an Evade fail and these artificial Volcanion do hit Angie with an attack, the Shield is raised to prevent that damage.

But I'm somewhat scared that once we're on the ground, these Volcanion will charge at us at full force - Though, is it possible for Shiva to let her Pokemon fire off attacks during that descension already, Iron? I'd guess so, no?

Spira's doin' some trial and error to figure out their weaknesses; the potential paralysis/freeze are bonuses.
