Giant Magcargo Round 1
Arete's dice pools are one bigger, right?
The huge slug does not move quickly, but it fires off multiple attacks at once from different parts of its body. Arete is fast enough
Ancient Power 1 on Sari
(3)(2)(4)(5)(6)(5) (3)(5)(5)(4) Critical
7 Str + 2 power + 1 stab -6 vit +2 crit = 6d6
(6)(6)(1)(2)(2)(4) Sari takes 3 dmg 9/12hp -1 pain

(4) Magcargo takes 3 dmg 15/18hp -1 pain
Screech 1
(4)(5)(1)(5)(3)(2) (1)(1)(6)(2)
-2 def for Magcargo. Arete flings her blades wide and shouts at the ceiling, a shout that reverberates for hundreds of feet. That should weaken the tough snail!
Magcargo seems a little nervous to attack Arete directly, sensing that vast amount of innate water. First he gathers himself inward, causing the ancient stones to spring forth from this ancient place. Then he unwinds like a spring, slamming sideways into Sari.
Body Slam 2
(5)(3)(4)(1)(2)(4) (6)(4) Critical
(6)(1)(4)(3)(2)(2) Sari takes 2 dmg 7/12hp -1 pain
CD: (4)(2)(6) Sari was paralyzed.

(3)(2)(2)(3)(3)(1) (4)(3)
(4)(4)(2)(3)(2) Magcargo takes 4 dmg 11/18hp -1 pain
Obedience: (3) v (6)(3)(3)
Sari is upset that Arete is copying her and decides to copy Magcargo in revenge.
Tackle 2
(6)(6)(3)(4)(2)(3) (5)(6)(4)(6) crit
(3)(2)(6)(4) Magcargo takes 2 dmg 9/18hp -2 pain
CD: (3)(2)(6) Sari was burned. She pouts.
Where the big slug lands, rocks begin pouring down from the ceiling on both his foes.
Rock Slide 3
(3)(6)(4)(6)(5)
(6)(2)(6)(2)(6) Sari and Arete take 3 dmg 4/12hp 8/11hp -1 pain
CD: (1)(2)(5)

(3)(4)(1)(2)
(4)(3)(6)(4)(1) Sari and Arete take 3 dmg 1/12hp -3 pain, 5/11hp -2 pain
CD: (6)(2)(5)
Terra's mons flinch, 1 and 4 respectively.
With Arete weakened, there's a chance Magcargo will go for it. (4) Yes. The snail wants to pit his ancient power against legendary power, and then maybe eat some steamed crustacean.
Ancient Power 5
(6)(4)(5)(6)
(1)(3)(6)(6) Arete takes 3 dmg 1/11hp -3 pain
CD: (6) Towers of stone erupt from the floor, each marked with an etched Eye. They grab Arete and slow Sari, empowering Magcargo relative to your Pokemon. +1 to all stats.
However, big cracks have appeared in Magcargo's shell, and the Pokemon is pulsing with pent up energy.

There are a dozen baby Ekans, but they aren't really a threat to a trainer of your caliber if you want to just wash them all away with your Pokemon.

(Yes, Arete's has + 1 to all their Attributes)
Terra's felt his pulse start to race as the Fight against the Giga Magcargo heated up exponentially appropriately enough, and by the end of the Round he was grimacing at how much abuse it was able to heap on his resplendent ruler and Ultimate Insect. Partly because it was that strong, but it also seemed that luck itself conspired against his partners, seeing as the steaming slug enjoy a particularly string of good fortune and was now more powerful than ever while leaving both Sari and Arete at Faint's door. Prospects of them getting buried and/or baked alive was looking grimly high, if something was not done to correct those poor odds.
So the sagely monk proceeded to do just that, using a Lum Berry on Sari to cure ALL her Status, before returning her and Arete and sending out Mikey in there place! He wasted zero time giving his shroombro their Orders: " Mach Punch Magcargo, now."
Orders: One Lum Berry to treat the wasting ailments plaguing Sari, returning her + Arete, then sending out Micheal to deliver 5 Mach Punches to Magcargo in order to usurp Initiative to take down them before they can put their Ancient Power Buff to bad use! Time for the molten snail to receive an emergency knuckle sandwich!
Mach Punch
Accuracy: 9/8/7/6/5D6 Dice
Damage: *9D6 + 1 Base Damage (Effectly having a + 1 STR from Mag's remaining Screech Debuff)
Effect: *Priority 1*

vs
(5)(6)(5)(4)(6)(1) (2)(5)(6)(1)(1)(4) (1)(3) = 6
Taunt
(2)(3)(5)(1)(2)(1) (5)(6)(1)(3)(4)(1) (1)(6)
Calam appears out of nowhere and wiggles tauntingly at Foongus. Then he's off again.
Future Sight
(3)(4)(6)(2)(5)(5) (1)(1)(6)(6)(3)(5) (2)(6) Critical hit
Calam: (4) + 13 = 17
Solosis: (4) + 11 = 15
Foongus: (6) + 3 Dex + 5 Survival = 14
Bahahaha! Being able to sneak up on an enemy while being in plain sight is awesome. Stealth is what both Solosis and Calam were originally trained to do, after all, so Nathan's training methods only amplify their skills further!
Now then, time to really get this started! With Taunt preventing Ammongus from utilizing further shenanigans and a Future Sight imminent, setting up a few more (de)buffs before going on the offensive should be safe to do!
Calam:
Calam takes advantage of holding Foongus's attention by shining brilliantly while the mushroom is looking right at him! Then he follows up with a new trick: slashing at Foongus with Psychic energy instead of physical blows, his horn shining all the brighter because of it, his moonlight wings a brilliant light that reflects off of the silver in the walls thanks to FLASH!
FLASH 1
Acc: 7* + 5 + 3 - 5 = 10 D6
Eff: -3 Acc, blindness
Psycho Cut 2-5 (Calam learns it for 47 exp!)
Acc: 7* + 5 + 4 - 6/7/8/9 = 10/9/8/7 D6
Dmg: 5 + 3 + SE = 8 D6 base + 1
Eff: High crit. 3 successes needed.
Note: This move does not make contact, so it won't trigger Effect Spore. Like this:
Solosis:
Solosis, meanwhile, sets up further defenses before attacking with her own Psychic power! She's not as much of a fighter as Nathan's other pokemon, but that's just fine! Having a support pokemon is very useful as well! Besides, that Future Sight is probably going to HURT when it hits Foongus in the next 6 seconds! She'll just be over here, acting as cutesy and non-threatening as possible for the time being so that she can do her job (and hopefully not get obliterated by a massive pokemon that's probably 10 times her current size! Eep! Were it not for seeing everyone take down that Genesect earlier, Solosis might not have been confident that they could handle such a large opponent...)
Charm 1 (Solosis learns it for 19 exp!)
Acc: 6 + 5 + 3 - 5 = 9 D6
Eff: -2 Strength
Light Screen 2
Acc: 6 + 5 + 3 - 6 = 8
Eff: -1 Damage from ranged moves for 4 Rounds for Nathan's whole party
Reflect 3
Acc: 14 - 7 = 7
Eff: same as LS, but for non-ranged moves
Psywave 4 and 5
Acc: 14 - 8/9 = 6/5
Dmg: 6 D6 (no SE damage for Fixed Damage moves)
Future Sight Damage (at the end of the Round)
Dmg: 5 + 5 + STAB + 2 Crit + SE = 13 D6 base + 1 damage
Conditional order: If Foongus uses Bide, while the move is charging, use non-attacking moves instead if applicable. For Calam, that means using Leer and Swords Dance (in that order) (and for both him and Solosis, possibly also using FLASH again to reblind Foongus if applicable). If no (de)buffs need to be applied and Bide is active, simply stop attacking and be ready to Evade instead. Once Bide is no longer charging, continue attacking as normal.
Conditional Order 2: If LS or Reflect is not successfully used for some reason, replace the next action with those. We're gonna keep using them until they successfully get put up, gosh darn it!
Conditional Order 3: If Foongus ends up being able to use Spore regardless of the Taunt, attempt to Evade it.
If Calam or Solosis lose at least 4 HP, Nathan has a Potion Orchid ready for both of them (one for each).
Reminder: Solosis is holding an Eviolite, so she currently has 5* Defense.
Let's see if we can make this encounter a little easier. Fongus can't use non-damaging attacks thanks to Taunt, and ideally, Foongus should be struggling to use the damaging ones to any kind of great effect by the end of the Round.

Quote:You are indeed sensing that these Pokemon are getting very close to a mighty power that changes them, but it's not the silver veins, which are just ordinary silver as far as you can tell. There's something far greater hidden somewhere in these depths.
Huuuh, that allures lots of wild fantasies what that mighty power could be, Shiva also quietly laughs to herself as the picture of a Whimsicott the size of an big and extra-cozy beanbag.
Quote:Machoke will be able to engage you at the same time you engage it, so no bonus Future Sights.
Your Psychic types are ready to press their advantage!
Lilith: (6) + 8 = 14
Machoke: (4) + 4 Dex + 5 Survival = 13
Espeon: (3) + 8 = 11
Hah, Lilitt's giving herself all ready to give that foe relying on brute force a taste of the powers of her mind, don't they know that you don't have to look strong and tough to be that? Maybe, but she couldn't care less. The whole time she'll display her very own version of strength she'll be faintly shredded in an blurry mist given that somewhere on her, a bag of Incense is hidden away. Primal Espeon is a bit hesitant over being asked to engage in such a huuuge foe, but he'll do like he's asked to and take an example on the fellow Psychic Type he's fighting alongside. The crude gemstone embedded in his forehead gives of a warning gleam at that Machoke.
We'll prevent damage from the strongest attack that Machoke throws at us with the help of the Ancient Shield, regardless what Type it is. Or, shall that exemplar know any Dark Type Move by suprise, prevent damage from that one.
The moment Lilith or Primal Espeon fall to half their HP, they'll be patched up again with the scent of a Potion Orchid.
Shiva ordered Lilith to let loose those shocks of psypower, but before that she does something weird: She's starting to wail about still not knowing why these powers weren't able to affect that creepy Shellder down the sunken ship, Shiva would be startled and confused if her massive insight wouldn't tell her that all of that is just a show. How neat, maybe she has adapted some faelike traits from being around them and their natural owner for so long?
Accuracy Roll Lilith's Fake Tears 1: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 3 Perform - 5 Actions = 5d6
Effect: -2 Vitality for Machoke due to disrupting their will to fight.
Secondary Effect: *sobbing*
Then said psypower comes in mercylessly and at full blast!!!
Accuracy Roll Lilith's Psyshock 2: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + now 7*Channel - 6 Actions = 8d6
Accuracy Roll Lilith's Psyshock 3: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + now 7*Channel - 7 Actions = 7d6
Accuracy Roll Lilith's Psyshock 4: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + now 7*Channel - 8 Actions = 6d6
Damage Roll: 4 Strength + 3 power of the move + STAB + held Odd Incense = 9d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Deals real physical damage aka slams Machoke against the nearest wall.
Accuracy Roll Lilith's Future Sight 5: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 7*Channel - 9 Actions = 5d6
Damage Roll: 4 Strength + 5 power of the move + STAB + Odd Incense = 11d6 +1 autodamage due SE
Additional notes: Strikes at the end of the next Round, bypassing any shields and cover. Lets Gothy see images of the near future.
When her ally is crying, that wise old man of an Eeveelution lets a loud and encouraging howling be heard.
Accuracy Roll Primal Espeon's Howl 1: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 3 Intimidate - 3 Actions = 7d6
Effect: +1 Strength for him as it awakes his will to battle.
Secondary Effect: Echoes a bit inside the cavern.
Then he joins in that assault of the mind, and he's adding some icing on top of the figurative cake.
Accuracy Roll Primal Espeon's Future Sight 2: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel - 4 Actions = 9d6
Damage Roll: 5*Strength after howling + 5 power of the move + STAB = 11d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: See Gothitelle above.
Accuracy Roll Primal Espeon's Ice Shard 3: 4 Dext + 3 Fight + 6 Channel - 5 Actions = 8d6
Damage Roll: 5*Strength + 2 power of the move + held NevermeltIce = 8d6
Additional notes: This move has +1 Priority. It's fun to imagine an Espeon using that move now. :>

It's talking to itself constantly, about the coins, about Pokemon who bothered it, and lastly about how nice the weather's been down here. (There is indeed a slight chill to the air this far underground.)
It turns when it senses your light source. "Bothering the darkness again, are we? I'd heard there were some humans skittering around, disturbing things. Slew the Great Dark Slowbro. Surprised I speak Common? Don't be; we Pokemon spoke it first. You just copied us. It just takes a little practice, that's all. It's just, you know, practicing something other than fighting is rare with Her Watchful Eye being so close. You're not here to attack me, are you?"
You'd think that seeing a Sneasel that can speak would be shocking, but thanks to the two guardians (Not counting Syrentide) the group has had the honor of meeting, speaking Pokemon have kinda lost their novelty to him; :"Actually, no I'm not surprised, I've seen talking 'mons before." Spira eyes the loot that the Sneasel has, "I may or may not attack you, I'd honestly prefer chatting, but first, tell me how you got your paws on that silver." Spira is at the very least familiar enough with the species to know about the gender difference of Sneasel, so short or long ear feather?

Giant Foongus Round 1
Flash 1
(4)(1)(5)(5)(5)(6) (4)(4)(2)(6)
-3 accuracy for Foongus. The blindness is less worrisome, since it lives in complete darkness and so many of its attacks simply fill the air, plus it has a secret method of sensing you that Absol happened not to trigger. Giant mycorhizome roots lift out of the cavern floor and try to strangle all your Pokemon. It's still much less accurate than an unblinded Foongus, and it also can't use its buffed Ingrain now!
Charm 1
(2)(3)(2)(3)(6)(3) (3)(2)(1)(3)
-2 Str for Foongus
Giga Drain 1 on Absol
(1)(1)(2)(3)(5)(4) (2)
7 Str + 3 power +1 STAB -4 vit = 7d6
(1)(3)(5)(2)(6)(3) (5) Calam takes 3 dmg 5/8hp -1 pain
This move heals more than usual, like a Big Root.
Psycho Cut 2
(1)(3)(5)(5)(2)(5) (6)(6)(5) Critical
(5)(4)(4)(4) Foongus takes 5 dmg 10/15hp -1 pain
Light Screen 2
(5)(5)(1)(4)(6)(1) (2)(2)
-1 from nearly all Foongus' moves
Giga Drain 2 on Absol
(6)(5)(4)(5)(4) Critical hit.
(5)(5)(1)(3)(6)(4) (4)(3)(2) Calam takes 4 dmg, only alive due to Light Screen! 1/8hp -3 pain. A potion orchid brings him to 5/8hp again.
Foongus heals 3hp. 13/15hp -1 pain
Psycho Cut 3
(3)(4)(1)(4)(1)(6) (6)(5) Crit
(4)(5)(4)(6) Foongus takes 5 dmg 8/15hp -1 pain
Reflect 3
(2)(5)(5)(2)(3)(6) (4)
Giga Drain 3 on Calam
(2)(4)(4)(4)
(5)(5)(3)(4)(4)(1) (6) Calam takes 4 dmg 1/8hp -3 pain again
Foongus heals 3 hp 11/15hp -1 pain
Solosis smiles hugely at having saved Calam once again. It also shudders a bit as the massive force of the attack hits her tiny wall of mental power.
Psycho Cut 4
(4)(5)(2)(3)(4) Critical
(4)(4)(4)(3) Foongus takes 4 dmg 7/15hp -2 pain
Psywave 4
(2)(4)(3)(2)(2)(1)
(4)(1)(4)(4)(2)(6) Foongus takes 4 dmg 3/15hp -2 pain
That's more effective than a Psycho Cut critical in some ways, bypassing defenses so effectively.
Giga Drain 4
(3)(3) Miss.
Psycho Cut 5
(5)(6)(3)(5)
(6)(2)(5)(4) Swish! Foongus is sliced up and ready to go on 10,000 sandwiches.
He drops two Big Roots!
Each character gains 12XP.
