[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Gallade shakes his head as he analyzes Terra's emotional patterns.  Geez, what a mess...still, he knows Nathan intends to try and right this somehow...

Nathan stops Terra by putting a hand on his shoulder and looking him straight in the eyes.  Gone is the attempt at lightheartedness in Nathan's look since Terra isn't trying to do the same.  "...before you go blaming me for breaking the deal, think carefully about when I could have helped the League set up something of this scale.  I barely even had a few hours between exploring the Skull Ruins and battling Deoxys to talk to them.  Hardly enough time for them to find every single little place he could have hidden should he have escaped, wouldn't you say? Kinda hard to anticipate something like this situation on short notice no matter which way you look at it."

Nathan crosses his arms.  "You're not to blame for him getting captured.  Remember that."

...even despite everything Terra's said, Nathan's still trying to out at least a few of Terra's troubles at ease...even if he is being a little vague with the exact details.

That's all Nathan says for now, though.  Neither of them would benefit from a lengthier discussion of this topic right now.

He's trying to forgive Terra, however. That much should be clear.



When Terra looks at Calam and apologizes, the Absol closes his eyes and relaxes in response.  He doesn't seem to be too particularly bothered by what happened for some reason.

Before Calam heads over to talk with Golda, Nathan asks the Absol one question.  "So, want to show her how much you've REALLY grown?"  Nathan subtly points to his necklace, where his Key Stone is, when he asks that.

Seeing Calam Mega Evolve would probably be a nice surprise for Golda, right?

When they question about what to do with the Artefact, Heart put his opinion about it. "Well...I think the artefacts should stay with us for now. There still things to be done. And about the Hauberk..." Heart think. "I think the Hauberk should be guard by one of us. However, Cosh for what he did, deserve a fair jugment." Heart than approach Cosh. "Never think I would say that but...thank you for helping us beating Deoxys. You not gonna escape justice however. You have to pay for the things you done. Including sending Nathan father to the Skull Ruins...But I learn new things today about you Scimitars. You not one hundred percent the monsters I though you all are. Kelda show me that."

"I just want one thing: The next time we meet, should be as allies, and not enemies. May the Earthpower give you new begining. Leader of the Earth Scimitars Cosh."

Heart also decided to follow Corporal Wake and see he want to talk about it with him. "So officer? What you want to speak with me?"

Cosh smiles knowingly. "Thanks, Heart. We're all heroes now. The world is different for us now. You will see. I read some of your secret longing in your face. That Egg will show you the way to get what you want. Maybe someday we'll get that alliance."



Corporal Wake: "It's not as an officer that I wish to speak with you. Just... an ordinary man. A man with a secret. Can we go somewhere away from these cameras and League officials? Good."
That done, he continues. "I saw the way you wielded Doublade. I see it brimming with potential. I saw the way it respects you. I'm sure you know a Doublade only evolves in the hand of a worthy wielder? There's more to it, though. Like, there's no question you were worthy in that battle just now. You stood over your companion after he fell, protecting him. You threw yourself into battle with vigor and honor. But Doublade didn't evolve. Do you know why? It's because Doublade is the sword of kings. It's biased, you see. It doesn't think like every other, reasonable citizen of Creshire. Doublade sees you as a worthy soldier, and a damn good one. That's true. But you're also a worthy wielder. I can give you advice on how to get Doublade to see you as a worthy King, if you like. I could even get it to evolve. You deserve that. But if you'd rather it be by your own hand, in your own time, I respect that choice. I can help either way."

"With a quick lesson from me, I can get you and Doublade fighting fit, capitalizing on the strength of your bond rather than your dominion. There's Kingship, incarnate in a Pokemon Sarimanok had, and in Sarimanok's blood, and then there's good leadership. I can see that Nathan's Vespiquen learned this lesson. Honestly... I'm not sure Kingship is all it's cracked up to be."

"Anyway, let me know if you want help teaching Doublade anything. Oh, and Heart? Not a word of this to anyone else, please. Especially the League. I'm sure you understand."

Terra's tired and forlorn expression hardly changed as Nathan pulled him around and downplayed their role in Cosh's apprehension, just him frowning just the slight bit more as he heard them out.

".....Not blaming you for League capturing Cosh. Don't know if you did help them or not. If you did, probably before deal was made. *Minute shake of head* So I don't care. Won't.....condemn you for decisions made before deal that.....impact it. *Shakes head* Be unfair and.....stupid."

"No, blame you for helping capture him with Princess' help, instead of letting me free him from Meowstic's Mean Look. Broke deal then, and....moment you acted to get him captured with your papa's help. Could have gave him chance, but didn't. *Beat* ....If he got caught or....killed by League still, deal would have remained unbroken. Would have no-one to blame then, but....."

He trails off at the end, eyes darkening a bit and becoming cast in shadow as he contemplated that possibility. In a way, his archmage master of a partner getting captured could be considered even by him to be a 'good' outcome in that bleak light, if they would have suffered egregiously or perished due to him enabling enabling their escape. That would have be supremely ironic a fate, and all too devastating.....

The scholarly trainer's attempt to absolve him of his own tumultuous mess of guilt/frustration/shame/regret/inadequacy does prompt a relatively big reaction from the mountain of a man, with him raising both eyebrows in surprise and his frown turning less gloomy and more contemplative. A few seconds later, however, his expression resettles back into weariness, and he breaths out a long as he closes his eyes *Siiiiigh*

"I know. But it feels like I did."

When he re-opens his eyes, he gives his best friend the smallest, most faint of smiles, bring some energy back into his grim, Steely complexion. 

"Thank you, though. For trying to cheer me up."

He also shares a small smile with the Dark prophet, looking/feeling ever so slightly relieved and grateful.

If they have nothing else to say, then Terra would depart to do what he needs done.

Despite Terra's mood still being quite dour, Gallade would be able to tell that his smiles and comment were completely genuine. That, and he understood well their partner's unspoken forgiven and seemed to accept it, but to what measure and in what way is unclear, as he was still very much mired and muddled by his own rueful depressing feelings and was in the midst of coming to terms with them.

Heart think for a few seconds and then spoke. "Well...I am curious about these secrets you say you can tell me. About how I can be worth as a King to Doublade, and he finally get evolve. I also want to learn this...thing about capilize our strength in the form my and Lancelot bond."

"What are you exactly? You say you are a man with secrets. But what you are truly?"

With Cosh:
Heart simply shrugs. "The world it is the same Cosh. It's only how it see is what it changed. I also looking forward for that meeting. But don't blow up that new beginning Cosh. Don't kipnap or slave/dissecade Pokemon ok? It's a new page for the history of Scimitars. And for my clan too. If I want to become the Leader the ArcHeart need to reborn, there still a lot to learn...Junie, the Leader of the Water Scimitars once told me something: I would make a good Scimitar. I still don't have a full positive view about the methods you use...But you not beyond redemption."

"We gonna fix things Cosh. That's something I can guarantee you. Corruption is what destroyed my clan. I will not let corruption strike again. Take the time to think about it Cosh. Things it's not white and black as you may think."

Business Mode Time!

"Okay. Want to own a medium building in Stair, and turn it into a private research lab and workshop, fully outfitted with all stuff needed to run it. Want a grant too, and full rights to all research, developments, discoveries, and inventions made by it. Need experts and researchers to staff it, primarily ones specialized in Bug and insect like Pokemon, prehistoric Pokemon and Fossil Revival, geneticists, Pokemon biology and chemistry, and Pokemon surgery, so would like a list of references of people with those qualifications. Willing to make you and your company a partner in my research too, but need to set up lab first and work out details of that deal later."

"Want a modest amount of Pokemon. Do not need to be Rare or special, but all need to be  healthy, Obedient, and well trained or naturally know a lot of Moves. Would like at least 7, but would settle for 4 instead. No preference in Type either, except for Psychic and Ghost Types. Do not want any of those Types. If their are any kinds of strong restraints for Psychic Pokemon, I want some too."

"Keni's and Oscar Waren's houses in Cress was destroyed, and I would like to see it rebuilt for them. If that is not possible, want to buy a new home for them there instead, and give him a budget to decorate it how he likes and restock his lost supplies."

"Request I be kept constantly updated in Cosh's case, and a small team of good and non-biased, non-League lawyers to be assigned to help defend and represent him in court and to League. Willing to help defend Cosh in anyway too. Let League know that I wish great leniency for him and the Scimitars under his command, as without his and their aid we could not have stopped Deoxys and saved Cheshire."

"That is all. If League wants to give anything more, or request services and favors for requests I made, that is fine with me."

(In other words: Place I can research/modifying Arete and any possibly Deoxys, get a group of Obedient Pokemon with plenty of Moves as Energy Fodder to use to attempt to make Terra's Deoxys Clone absolutely Loyal to him [And later be used as research subjects, possibly], help Ken and Oscar out [If they haven't already], and basically be a total bro for Cosh. Not sure if all my requests will be meet or in what way, but hey, can't know unless I ask!)

I do have something in mind!

Nathan starts by clearing his throat.  "...so...I guess I should start with an explanation.  Calam...er, Dizzy, I guess I should say...came into my care through a rather...odd set of circumstances, to say the least.  But...it's through those circumstances that I've really come to know exactly the kind of pokemon he is, the kind of pokemon he wants to be.  I've done my best to help him, and he's done the same in kind.  While he's not the pokemon I'm bonded the most with, he's still a very close friend I'd be sad to be separated from.  It's...a little hard to properly describe it with words.  So...we'd like to show you instead.  Show you how close we are, and just how much Dizzy's grown since joining our adventures."

As Nathan wraps up that brief, somewhat vague explanation, he puts a hand on his necklace, triggering the Key Stone!  Rainbow colored light begins seeping through the gaps in his fingers.

Calam's previously hidden Absolite, meanwhile, glows with a mixture of white, blue, and black light at first.  It gets brighter and more varied in color until Calam himself is also enveloped in rainbow colored light!

...but instead of the light bursting outwards like a typical Mega Evolution, it collapses inwards, seemingly becoming one with Calam's form, outlining and silhouetting the potential that was hidden underneath the surface all along, until it finally dims enough for the details to become fully visible:



Calam looks just like any other Mega Absol would (conveniently covering his scarred eye ;P ), but with one detail differing quite majorly.  His entire form seems to be outlined in faintly glowing, rainbow colored moonlight.  Not just his wings, horns, and tail.  His entire body is emanating a gentle light that showcases just how powerful and caring a pokemon he is, a visible aura that can be just as comforting as it is intimidating.  Woe be those who cross this guardian angel, and blessed be the ones that he aims to protect.  Trickery will no longer be able to befall him and his allies so long as he remains in this form.

Nathan and Gallade can't help but smile after seeing their friend Mega Evolve for the first time.  "We've been through a lot together over the last few months.  And while we're continuing to combat those who would seek to cause disaster, we're also hoping to encourage others to give Absol as a species a chance.  Both are important tasks, and we plan on giving both of them our all."

Golda sees you and comes over to you. "I learned a lot about you, Spira. You and your birthmark may still have a role to play in Creshire. If you have ANY questions, any questions at all, I want you to come to me. Here's my phone number. (She can get you a Pokegear or Pokedex if you need one)."
"At the same time, I don't want anyone nosing around in your business. Dagny has already done a few things to prevent that, but I want you to know there's no one now who will be able to consider you anything other than a full-fledged 21st century resident and Creshire visa holder. Even someone with Dagny's resources will not be able to probe who you REALLY are."

"Swamp, huh..." Spira'll have Luna FLY him there to look for her. He'll make do with his current team.

"Ventus has been working with me on occasion. He even helped develop some of the things Bo used in the final conflict - secrets! Until they someday become available in retail, that is."

Golda: "Aw, dear, you'd be more than welcome to stay the night in the Center. It's only about 2:00 according to my Pokegear, but no one can deny you've had a long day already!" She then goes aside to talk to Calam/Dizzy.

Shiva almost instantly goes (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄) over the good professor's revelation that Ventus - Reshiram may bless him and his love for green sweaters - helped in the final confrontation in such a meaningful way. "Oh, has he professor? That's.... so nice to hear, awwww!!~ Please tell him my thanks if you speak with him, I-I'll see if I can't contact him myself over the next few days! Hehehe... I'll keep an eye on the market...." She appears super-excited to buy something someday that her smart love has helped developing.

Ah... Guess from all that seriousness, determination, terror and meaningful battling Shiva has completely forgotten about time, now she too checks her phone for the time. "You... You're right, Golda, I thought it's much later already... Hehe...!" *embarassed laughter* "B-but, yes, thank you! I'll come to Ginger Town with you once you've handled everything with the Infiltrator and Spira if it's okay to you too, handle some business in town and preparations for my trip westwards, then come to sleep over at the Daycare or rather its yard... Like I once did together with my Pokemon!~" Whimsicott lets out a chirp and cuddles up to Shiva, seemingly looking forward already to spend a night outdoors with her lovely Master. Once they are ready to take off, the natural fae enthusiast ask Nathan whether he'd like to tagg along, "Because I wish to get a permission to visit Galicburg, and you can probably help me getting one.... Can't you?" *cue cute Lilipup-Eyes* We could ask Dagny too!"

Shiva hopes that she won't be overrun by people for interviews and stuff in town. The first thing she'll do is visit the local Pokemon Center to say hello, have a nice meal and swap Pangoro in her party with Primal Espeon, then goes to find a League Representative who's free and available to have a few words with them - this belongs to her preparation.

She also lets the others know that she wishes to head westwards direction Garlicburg as fast as even possible, at best just FLYing to that island and returning by foot via the desert and Earthstar Forest.
