Nathan closes his eyes as he thinks about how to respond to Shiva.  When he does respond, he sighs slightly and nods.  "...I understand that not everyone can or will take up arms with me in this endeavor, now or in the future.  Still, I ask if you will consider assisting because I think you'll be a valuable ally in what's to come, and that will be the case in the future as well should the need ever arise to ask for your assistance again.  Please keep that in mind too."

"One step at a time, though.  For now, I wish to focus on preparing for our search for DIVE and the fossil, followed by reuniting the Lake Trio.  We don't have to act immediately to help the trio, as this issue has been persistent for countless years and is unlikely to go anywhere, but I don't wish to put it off for too long once we have the necessary tools to adress the issue."

That slight sigh from Nathan is not missed by Shiva, it causes her to frown a bit, but on sulking expression and lightly cross her arms. He appears to not really like her answer... But Shiva isn't the same anymore like when she just started on her journey through this region, she's not going to completely surpress her own thoughts, wishes and feelings for the sake of others anymore. Or, she'll try at least.

Still, her voice is a soft and calm one as she responds. "I'm not going to argue on that. Yes, Nathan, thanks for considering me...a valuable ally, that's kind and dear of you. I'll keep your point in mind... Like I said, I am not outright oppossed to help, no - shall I be some help at all - but something that I will not do is, for example, drop anything that occupies and is important to me personally at the moment my help is needed or asked for for the sake of said help, nor rush over when I'm not even in Chreshire at that time."

She continues. "Thanks for your words Heart, yes you're right that I desire for some peacefulness and downtime for now... I kinda wish to do things at my pace now, we're not absolutely required to travel as one group anymore, aren't we? There are places I need to be, wish to be, with this Ancient Shield protecting me in case I should be... fine, yes I feel like I'll be fine. I do wish to get to the island of Garlicburg itself tomorrow as fast as possible, even if this means that I'll have to let yor search for the HM and Fossil by yourselves. Nathan, Heart, Terra - please be aware of this, alright? There's something at that island that I need and wish to investigate - it may be too late already, but I still wish to do so - without more delay than needed." She refuses to give details to protect this sensitive topic.

At Shiva's request, Terra silently nods back to her, completely understanding and accepting her desires and rationale for them. As a merchant's son and 'former' Contest Master, he's aware of how responsibilities, obligations, and ambitions can get it the way or prevent one from of doing other tasks they wish they could do, so he doesn't hold her tentative offer to help Nathan and Mesprit against her. Or Heart not prioritizing aiding the Being of Emotion over his other self-imposed but very much laudable duties, for that matter.

Still, despite all that, he can't help but frown a little in disappointment at them. Having the opportunity to help a Legendary Pokemon was a great and high honor and esteemed privilege that seldom few get, less so when a Legend itself asks for it. The fact that the group (himself included) has already aided Legends in their time of need and frequently interacted with them (for good or ill) does not diminsh the honor at all. Iin fact, it might enhance it, knowing the Legends consider them worthy and reliable enough to consistently offer services/favors for them to perform.

Plus, typically people/Pokemon get richly rewarded for helping the great Legends (either by them or others), but that's besides the point for Terra. He's just happy and pleased to help the Legends, for the reasons stated above. Simple as that!

Because of this, Shiva and Heart being somewhat dismissive and almost irreverent of this honor rubs him the wrong way. That, and it makes him concerned for their shake - they are openly snubbing (to a degree) the Pink Pixie in their presence, which doesn't seem like a good idea to him...

For the other stuff discussed by the pun lover and fae lady, he holds his peace on. Doesn't really have much to say about it, really.

As for his own current responsibilities that could potentially delay him helping Mesprit, they're the kind that can be put off or delegated to others, so he's pretty much always free and able to help anyone, really! That means Nathan can count on him be their for him in this great undertaking, as always!

Nathan turns to Mesprit and nods, smiling.  "Thanks for coming all the way over here, Mesprit."

And now, Nathan can properly explain what's going on to everyone!

"So, long story short, I'd like to use the Red Chain to help Mesprit with reuniting the Lake Trio.  Azelf's still missing since they vanished at Lake Chicory.  Uxie is who knows where since they left the region by flying to the north.  And there's something at the root of it all that forced them to split, something old and powerful that's related to human carelessness.  Mesprit agreed that having some backup would likely be helpful, and they've also mentioned that it would be very helpful for us to get the DIVE HM before we attempt this.  Whatever's going on, there's still problems underneath the surface of the waters surrounding Creshire, or possibly even in the flooded tunnels directly beneath the region."

Nathan takes a thoughtful pose as he continues.  "Something was trapping Latios in those flooded tunnels.  And something forced the Lake Trio to scatter.  There may still be other Legends that need assistance, too.  We've met a fair few on our travels, but there's still many we haven't seen hide nor hair of as of now.  We may have to keep an eye out for clues to their whereabouts in the future.  And if they need assistance, it's likely going to take more than a Sword and a few prayers to help them.  So, can I count you guys in on helping me with this?  You're free to decline if you wish, but your help would be greatly appreciated."

And thus, the question posed, Nathan awaits for everyone's responses.  And if there are those who have further questions for Mesprit, now would be the time to ask.

After Mesprit vanish, Heart look to his friends. "I guess we might see each other soon. I going to enter in contact with the Pokemon League right away. Those Kadabra had waited for to long."


Heart send a message to Tanuki.

Hey Tanuki. Long time no see. Is the Pokemon still have those Kadabra people? I might have the cure of those Pokemon return to the humanity. Also, if the League find people or Pokemon who get lobotomy by Deoxys hands, please bring to me to. I might have a way to heal everyone who get hurted by Deoxys. Bring everyone as quickly as possible. Meet me in Cress City 

Heart then climb the back of Angelo. "Terra. Nathan. Shiva. If there isn't anything to talk about for now, I need to go now. When you guys decide to go, call me. Mesprit might need help, but there is people wound by this conflict. Besides, there is some Pokemon of mine who need some training and extra power before challenge Elite Four."

Heart give his friends a farewell for now (unless there is something else to discuss) and go to Cress City, waiting for Tanuki there.

Tanuki meets you at the Gym, which has been transformed. Big steel plates cover the playground battling area, and viewing windows allow you to see the Kadabra inside. They've dismantled the playground and are rebuilding everything to suit their needs.

Tanuki is watching, and Dagny is levitating beside her in her chair. They spin around when Heart enters.

"They've woken up and are back to their old behaviors. No sign of humanity in them at all. The steel helps dampen their powers."

Nathan casually waves goodbye to Mesprit right before the Being of Emotion vanishes.

...then lets out a sigh of relief.  "...sorry if it seemed like I was grilling you guys a little.  Mesprit...isn't really a big fan of selfish desires.  I was reasonably certain things would go well, but...well, who can say how a Legend will really react to something?  In any case...*ahem*....meet you guys in Tumbleweed Town later?  We still have to go talk to Achilles, the Gym Leader there.  I'm gonna go get my Gym Badge from Botanville, then head to Tumbleweed for my final one.  I want to have all 8 before we go to Garlicburg.  And I could talk to Achilles by myself while I'm there, but I kinda got the impression he wanted to speak to all of us, so..."

Yeah, Nathan has a lot of training to do with his pokemon still as well.
