[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Thoughts in the topic Phantom?

Wanted to keep myself out of that discussion, but if you're asking for my thoughts so nicely, I'll chip in then. How dear of you!~ (Honestly, not sarcastically)

I'm 100%ly for leaving the Ancient Helm at the League and only - ONLY - get a hold of it when it's certain and inavoidable that we have to face an enemy of Deoxys-Prime-caliber, or in other words an enemy that we have literally hardly any chances to defeat without support from the Helm.

I also support the points your are mentioning
Someone of us getting a second Ancient Artifact is nothing I'd enjoy due to a foreboding that this will put quite the spotlight on that character and soft-shove us others into the background, and it does feel too OP. You and Dragonstrike also seem very prone to get into a quarrel about the Helm, in- and outta-chara, so IF we have to make someone wield the Helm, I'd either wish for it to be Cosh (if allowed), Spira (auto'd by GM), Shiva (to completely nip any arguments between characters in the bud) or any other NPC qualified to do that.

Oi, Nathan isn't any more of the protagonist here than the rest of you guys, with or without super powerful artifacts.  We've been over this already.  Several times.  I am NOT the only person in the spotlight here.

And I just said I don't care who gets the Helm if we take it.  I'm not going to fight for it or anything.  I'm just bringing up points to consider while being as unbiased as I can about it.

Now, points in my own self defense OOC aside (which I'm not happy I have to bring up), I honestly think we should seriously consider using the Hauberk and Helm for the Red Chain thing coming up.  Whatever caused the Lake Trio to become separated, it was powerful enough to overpower/influence them.  Shooting ourselves in the foot by not bringing the most powerful tools at our disposal doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

The League even wants to keep the Artifacts together, and that's when the Four are at their most powerful.  If we're all too busy squabbling over who shouldn't get what, then what's even the point of discussing this?  If we can't work together as a team when it counts, we're gonna get squashed.

We have two people without Artifacts, and two Artifacts to distribute.  This shouldn't be this hard to keep fair if that's the primary concern here.

Heart didn't in character already have eqquiped the Hauberk? More or less in the when Cosh was imprisoned?

I don't remember anyone specifically saying they picked it up from the League in the Game Thread, though they're more than happy to give it to us so the Four can stay united.

Sorry but it is difficult to defend you. You were the one with the only Artifact capable of deal Plot Damage, the only thing with the ability to hurt Deoxys, while the rest of us (except Shiva) get recked by Deoxys attacks. Even Quetzal Mega Evolution only could absorb some of Deoxys Charge before get destroyed. And Gustav Dark Pulse did not even tickle, despite be a Super Effective attack.

Yes Dragonstrike. Like you or not, you were the one who get the greatest perks in this campaign and became the protagonist when you get the Sword. You admitting or not.

You see? This is us beginning to fight between this all over again. In my case, I want to throw that helmet in the ocean instead of let poison all of us to fight among us again. Those things already gave us enough suffering.

Besides Dragonstrike, the decision was official. The helmet stay with the Pokemon League. Everyone give their votes. Even if Mika show up, the decision was made. Terra don't desire the helmet, and none of us will become protagonist again by wielding 2 artifact.

Well, since Heart it's one of the people without Artifact, like I mentioned in previous posts, I would either take the Hauberk or the Helmet. But only one, and only one. Even if already by this point was decided Heart would keep the Hauberk after the battle against Deoxys.

I'm walking away from this conversation.  This is just frustrating and mildly offending me OOC.  Anything I could say obviously isn't going to change any opinions, so I'm just not going to bother.

Someone take the Helm, or don't.  I really don't care either way.  Just don't come complaining to me if it turns out it would have been helpful and we didn't have it.

@Spiritmon, take the Hauberk if you like, that's fair and you derserve to have it.

I'm not going to cross about bridges before having come to them aka about what or who has been caused the Lake Trio to have scattered or what is lurking down the ominous 5th Layer of the Skull Ruins among a hinted massive amount of loot (Loot!~ I love loot!), there'll be enough time to do that once enough hints that we have to face that and need support from all Artifacts for that are provided. Focusing on the things that are important to me now is more fulfilling and fun!~

Me too. I don't think anything could be worse as Deoxys by this moment in the campaign. Even more we kinda already beat the game and that's why it is diceless at this point. We kinda are in the post game.

So, I hope the helmet stay with the League forever. We already had battles about the artifacts more than enough in one campaign.

Let's wait for more clues of this "danger" to be reveal. If it is indeed this danger be equally powerful (or superior) to Deoxys power, we will take the Four artifacts and decide who will use it. Be me, Terra (if he changes his mind) or Shiva. Or maybe Mika if he decides to return to this campaign.

Even though this argument has more or less ended on poorly, I'd like to say that I have your back on this stance now, mate. Took awhile for it to sink in, but everyone IS equal in protagonist rights (except Ventus and everyone else that left, bar Mika). It's just that the moment each of our character shined in happened sporatically throughout the main campaign, and it only seemed like Nathan was the most important was that the final battle shined a little more brightly on them than most others. Heck, in the Clone Wars battle prior to DEXOYS PRIME, everyone had a moment of glory and were essential in taking the jelly horde down, so I say bolderdash to the idea that Nathan is more important than everyone else!

OOC, I don't care if anyone takes an Extra Artifact or not, but IC Terra doesn't want one unless Cosh or the other Scimitar reliquish it to him, and even then he's going to be sad about that. As mentioned previously, he's 'fine' if anyone else takes an Extra, so I say it's fine for Nathan or Shiva (or Heart, if he's wielding the Hauberk) to take an extra. If neither of them do, nor will Heart consider taking one....I'll have my character try to pay a visit or send a message to Cosh on the matter, and see if they grant permission for him to wield one or both of the extra Artifacts. Like you said, if we're about to be tackling a major baddy on the level (or close to that) of DEOXYS PRIME, we need all the help we can get in vanquishing it.
