Kogeki finds odd about Blubelrog have a good level of Obedience and Happiness after be have the lights out. But he decided not to question that. For now he return Nami and the rest of his Pokemon and go follow the path. No need to make her even more tired in use Will Points.

For path, he leave Kee decided that. Also, he would like to grab that Fire Blast TM who appear.

Said TM was found by the other group.  You'll have to negotiate that with Windos/Randolph or Karen later if you want that TM.

(Neat!)

Yeap, he'd initially be displeased that he'd end up leading his mini-group into what amounts to a dead end, but that clear away once he spots all the loot scattered throughout it, and becomes especially intrigued when he spots what he thinks is a Fire Plate among all the Items. He would DEFINITELY want to grab that for himself, and examine it in closer detail to see if it was really the real deal (and if it had anything interesting on it).

As for the other Loot Items, Ran would be interested in getting the Red Top Hat, TM Sword Dance, and the Fire Journal, as well as one Big Nugget
. He's willing to give up getting a Big Nugget for himself or even Sword Dance if he can get the R.T.H, Fire Journal, and Fire Plate, though!

Of course, who gets what can't be done until the mini-group starts squabbling over , so let's get that out of the way first and see if Ran would have to make concessions or not to get the Items he's interested in....

Lastly, the bristly blacksmith would take one good look the avalanche pile, before after a moment's thought summoning his Excadrill, giving it a calm, expectant look before pointing over to said pile.

"Excadrill can ya Dig out a path through here? If ya need any convincing to do it, I'll let you have a rematch with Zorn later, and you give you an edge up over him so you can whomp him. How about it?"

The only thing I'd be happy to get would be 1 of those Big Nuggets for the sake of selling it and using the cash to get Kee something cool, aka a desired TM or paying a Pokemon Breeder for a good 'Mon/adopting one from a Shelter. As for the rest, that can be distributed as desired!~

In that case I leave Phantom to decide the next path.

I'll follow that for this Floor until you say otherwise.

Well, onwards then: Which means away from the tarn and northwards.

Note: Traveling to tiles directly above/below of the current one is rather difficult, given the tiles I have to work with are all drawn in an isometric style.  It's easier in this case since there's a path in the upper left corner of the tile, and almost all tiles have a path in the lower left corner.

Kogeki, Kee, and Lucas ascend one of the smaller peaks surrounding the main peak of Mt. Coronet to find a small grotto of trees with a single pond in the middle at the top.  Several large rocks are dotted around the area as well, and a waterfall on the northwestern end of the area turns into a small stream that eventually feeds into the grotto's pond.

It's very, very quiet.  There are no wild pokemon visible.

Lucas warily moves a hand to slowly grab one of the pokeballs on his belt.  "...I have a bad feeling about this...we should proceed with caution..."

Suddenly, the group hears what sounds like...singing?  Except it sounds very...dismal and off key.  It's difficult to tell where it's coming from, though, as the sound's echoing off of the cliffs and surrounding mountain peaks...

And then just as suddenly, the singing(?) stops, and three Absol with ice blue eyes step out of the trees.  They stare at the party, almost completely motionless...

...and then they all bolt in different directions as a ruckus starts on a higher peak to the northwest, startling a small flock of birds that were hiding in the trees.  The group looks up...

...only to see that what appears to be a large avalanche is suddenly headed their way!!!

"Everyone run!!!  Follow those Absol!!!" Lucas yells.

It doesn't take long for the avalanche to reach the room the group just reached.  It's approaching fast enough that the group gets separated in the chaos.  All three encounters are mandatory.

1. Absol* 1
Difficulty: ???
Cap: 1
Note: This Absol ran down the northeastern path.

2. Absol* 2
Difficulty: ???
Cap: 1
Note: This Absol went east.

3. Absol* 3
Difficulty: ???
Cap: 1
Note: This Absol went southeast.

Randolph's group also hears that same avalanche occur, as it's directly above them.  Fortunately, they're on a different side of that particular mountain peak, and aren't in any immediate danger.

(Well, if Ran hears the avalanche go off, is it possible he can send up Stymph and Beethoven to see where it's going, what's it going to hit, and what causes it? Because I think he'd be rightly worried about all that, triple especially since he doesn't know if his partners are going to be caught up in it)

Karen seems more initially concerned about the implications that these scattered items might have, while Rui stands behind everyone else.  "...do you think someone got caught in this avalanche?  I thought we were the only ones up here, though..."

If Randolph is going to take the Swords Dance TM, then Karen will take the Fire Blast TM.  (Rui certainly has no use for it since she isn't a Trainer, and none of the pokemon traveling with her can even use that TM in the first place)  Karen also suggests that they split the Big Nuggets with Kogeki and Kee.  She's also wondering what the heck Randolph intends to do with the top hat and journal...

Normally, I'd roll a Lore check to see if the Plate is the real deal, but Randolph doesn't need to because he can feel the power in it resonating with the power of the Azure Flute he's got in his bag.  It's real, 100%.

Excadrill narrows its eyes and crosses its arms.  What kind of an edge are we talking about here?

Then the avalanche happens, catching everyone off guard and interrupting whatever Randolph would have said in response.

Using the portable PC takes time, so while Randolph can absolutely do that, by the time he's gotten them out of the PC (I checked if they were in Randolph's default lineup for the floor), the avalanche has reached its destination.  Stymph and Beethoven didn't see anyone got caught in the avalanche, which was headed southeast from the current location of Randolph's group.

As for what's caused it, Randolph and co. would have heard the exact same dismal, off-key singing(?) that the other party did right before the avalanche happened.  The fact that the singing stopped right before the avalanche started is a little suspicious...particularly since the birds don't see anything obvious at the top of the peak that might have caused such a large disaster.

Excadrill takes one look at the mountain above after that ruckus, and is definitely factoring that into whether it wants to dig through this first avalanche's aftermath now...

Kogeki insticts was sharp, and when the avalanche begin to fall, he lost no time and begin to run as fast as he could. Susano'o free himself from the Pokeball after feel the danger around his partner. Kogeki and his metalic fish nod head, and then they know what to do. Kogeki jump in Susano'o back, and the Fish Pokemon circle around him in water power, and then release Aqua Jet, going in full speed ahead, dodging all the stones, ice and destruction around them. Although not the most quick Pokemon of Kogeki, Susanoo power over water and metal, allied with his sharp survival insticts, make him the perfect partner of a ninja.

He dont think that avalanche is Absol fault. After all, Absol have the ability to foresee the future, so he decided to trust those Absol in they trying to warn them about the danger. He follow the Absol who is going in the northeast path.

....Well, that comment gets Ran a-frowning, as he thought this menagere of Loot Items was just the work of/collection of that Shadow Rhyperiror (and therefore that why it was guarding the northern pass), but now....

"*Shakes head* ....I don't know, lass. Considering we found Scizors Rui here at the mountain, Kogeki and you found Kee in Lake Acuity's Cave, and all the strange and out of place Pokemon everywhere we go....we can't rule out other people getting warped here. That, and just 'cause we're here doesn't exclude other hikers or thrill seeking fools exploring Mt. Coronet themselves, despite all the rumors floating 'round about it. *Sighs* ...In any case, if this stuff is someone elses, they're either long gone from here or got caught up in the past avalanche over there. No sense of worrying ourselves about the possible fate of someone that may or may not exist until we find them or more concrete evidence of their existence, so I suggest putting it out of your mind for now..."

Technically Scizors can learn Sword Dance if I recall, but I we could argue that he'd probably wouldn't want to take it after Ran gave him their Metal Coat and a Leppa Berry. Have to repay that generosity somehow, you know! As for the Red Top Hat and journal, he's going to wear the former and read (Well, quickly scim) the latter, of course! Ran doesn't have much in the way of fashion sense, but something about that hat catches his eyes and makes him want to try it on, and he's highly curious as to what could be written in that hot read tomb....

Finding out the Fire Plate is genuine has him very much confused, concerned, and alarmed, all chiefly for one reasons: what in Arceas, the Plate's creator and owner, name is such a powerful Artifact doing up here? Even accounting for the cosmic disaster running amok across all realities, such priceless treasures shouldn't be so affected by it, given they're the tools of what many consider to be The Creator God of the Universe. So why?

Knowing that such an answer wouldn't come easy, Ran just shakes his head in somewhat frustrated and mystified worry and decides to give it to Brigid to Hold and protect for now. If he could trust such a valuable artifact in anyone's hands for safekeeping, it be a Fire type like her. (Any mechanical differences a Fire Plate has, compared to a Charcoal, if any? Also, she have any reactions to the Plate itself?)

The midget miner meets his manly mole's challenging posture with a similar one. "I'd let you set up a Sandstorm before the fight, so one of your Abilities would be active, and give you a Life Orb to use against him. With both those boons, ya should have a pretty big leg up on him in any rematch. How's that sound to ya?"

(...)

If his birds of song/prey didn't see anyone get sweep away and it happened far enough away from his mini-group, then he'd just end up shrugging it off and thanking his partners before returning them. Simple as that, really!

That singing, though....he'd definitely focus in on that with a severe frown spreading across his face as he listen.

"....What in this mountain's run off was that? And did it cause that avalanche? *Growls to himself, before looking at everyone else* I don't like it, and I sure as hell don't trust it either. Everyone, if ANY of you hear that singing, sound off an Alert and get prepared for any and all things bad happening to us...."

Does Ran have any idea the direction the sing was coming from, btw? Also, it would prompt him to bring out the Azure Flute he's borrowing from Arceas/whoever (he shan't consider it his, for paranoid reasons) with a frown, before he'd tried to playing any song on it with Brigid and Excadrill out with him (both for protection/insurance, and the former because she's holding the Fire Plate, and he want to see if it reacts to the Flute's song). He wanted to see if the sacred musical instrument could provoke that singer in anyway, and make it easier for him/anyone else to track it down.

If Excadrill is having second thoughts about tunneling through the former avalanche in fears of setting off another one after being given his first bribe (so to speak), Ran would just end up deferring to their judgement with a nod, not wanting to pressure it into an idea it thinks is a poor one, nor piss it off. Now was not the time to Fight with one of his partners, especially with one that could end up causing an avalanche themselves if riled up enough....

In that case, I suppose Ran and co would have no choice but to double back and the continue west from them middle sections of the previous room. If the way forward is blocked, time to take another path and hope it leads to the Stairs....
