Kogeki raise his voice. "Maybe it's not the most wise choice Master Rans. Milotic warn me that creature is powerful. And although I also tempt to go after that creature, we don't have much time. We still need to reach the top, and the most was difficult. I must agree with Kee this time."

"However, if you insist on that course of action, I will offer my help. After all, no one can deal with that thing alone. And would be interesting in see a little competition who would capture it first."

Ran takes the cyborg ninja's opinions into consideration for a moment....before shrugging.

"Most call chasing after danger unwise, and I tend to agree with them, but that beast has been tearing up Mt. Coronet and just started making our trip through it more difficult than it needed to be. I have a feeling that if I don't go after it and subdue that diamonized snake, it'll find its way back to us eventually to give us priceless pain, unintentionally or not.  So I'm sorry to say I disagree with ya, Kogeki. And quit calling me Master!"

"If you want tag along with me, I prefer if you'd want to for the same reasons as I want to go this way, rather than out of a sense of obligation. Like I said, I got experience dealing with Steelix, all alone to pickaxe, so if you're worried about my prospects against facing it alone, don't be."

I have one more addition to add to Randolph's warnings: Fire type moves have a tendency to heat up coal veins.  Heated coal veins are dangerous to touch, as coal gets hot very quickly and stays hot for a long time.
In addition, methane in caol veins is potentially combustible.  Fire type moves should be used with extreme caution.

Oof. Well that means that Kee has to ask his smol and dear Vulpix to take a break in a PC Box of his as well, but naturally he'll introduce her to this beforehand by summoning her and explaining the process: "Basically, ya'll be turned into data and tranported to my account on the PC System for Pokemon storation - as scary as that may sound to ya, it doesn't hurt, yar will and self-awareness remains and ya're free to do what ya like, imagine it as bein' in a virtual reality, 'k? I'm...a tad bit sorry for that, but I rather not put ya, me or anyonelse in danger when it can be 'voided. Ya understand?" He gives Stella a fond and dead cuddle-hug at this point. "Ah, 'n just in case ya may get lonely, ya've got the blanket and there are other Pokemon 'round 's well. I'll get a hold back at ya as fast 's I can."

And so Stella goes off to dwell in a PC Box as well, in return for her Aya joins Kee's party of active Pokemon.

Ran has the polar opposite decision to the eccentric dandy's own, keeping his hands down and arms crossed as he shook his head lightly.

"After that crystalline snake nearly burried 'n flattened us, I want to track it down and deal with it 'fore it can possibly get any ideas of coming back to give us an Encore of perilous grief. *Shakes head* I don't blame you or anyone else not wanting to tackle a odd Steelix in a place like this, so I'm fine taking going after and taking care of it myself if need be. *Shrugs* 'Sides, I've experience wearing down Steelix before, so I'm confidant I can handle this one if it dares cross my path...."

Their question earns them a look from the scuffy smith, before he thought about it for a few seconds and answered.

"Stay away from the walls much as you can, avoid using Moves that can cause massive collateral damage or have a high chance of causing structural failure (IE: AoE Moves, Ground Type and some Rock Type Moves, REALLY powerful Moves, that sort of thing), and if the stone around ya starts shaking, vibrating, or flaking off, trouble is about to find ya, so you better get 'fore it gets you. If you here Beethoven start raising hell throughout the mines, that means something seriously wrong has or is about to happen, so prepare yourself for the worst. Finally, avoid messing with the walls or floor of the mines too much, as that's a prime opportunity to have them fail ya disastrously. Got all that?"

Kee's not quite sure whether he's better off being impressed or facepalming by Ran's confidence and valor in going to PURSUE that odd Steelix, but what he knows for sure is that he better not question or reason him, after all HE's the one with the experience in mines and mining. And so Kee just opts to say nothing, but the LOOK he gives Ran speaks volumes: It's one that seems to clearly ask whether he knows what he's doing and that he (Kee) hopes and wishes that he (Ran) does not end up digging his own grave.

But for the tips, tricks and advice from the blacksmith Kee's all thankful, and he expresses that towards Ran with another salute and joyous "Got that, Sir!~" Octavia mimins the salute with a ribbon of hers and adjusts her smol mining helm with another.

Yeah, that gets a raised eyebrow and a questioning look from the bristly blacksmith, before his expression deadpans the first words that comes out of their mouth.

"Nice to see another person call me that, or some similar appellation , ya honorable sneak."

Ran then lets out a heavy *Sigh* and motions for the sliest guy around to join him.

"Alright, come along then, when ya ready. I have my own partners that could've put that Blue Steelix to Sleep, but having someone else provide that support gives me more options in dealing with it. "

That about the closest Kogeki will get to a thank you out of Ran for his help. At least, for now.

Question now is, who else will join Ran and Kogeki in chase after Blue Steelix while also searching for the Stairs?

I imagine that the coal mine parrot would also 'share' with the smol siren a slightly resentful rendition of the Jaws tune to jarringly contrast with her carefree song. He's more passive aggressive with his disdain of others Actions, unlike his fellow avian Stymph, so if you somehow managed the bad fortune of angering him, expect all sorts of vocal hi-jinks .

Once the battle against the mob of moles was thoroughly concluded and the waters receded from Paula's Surf, Ran stepped forward to meet with his two partners, each giving them a pat on the head a satisfied grin before he addressed them both.

"Nice work dealing with them weird moles. Knew you could handle'em like reaching your high notes."

He'd then return both to their Pokeballs, but not before speaking with his best bird bro privately, raising an eyebrow at them while doing so.

"Don't think I didn't notice your attitude towards Paula, Beethoven. It's not something I appreciate , simply 'cause if you have anyone to be cross at for that Surf, it should be aimed at me. I'm the one who Ordered her to use it, after all, and I was confidant enough to do so 'cause I knew you'd be able to survive getting your feathers a little wet and help ring them moles clocks out. Understand me, partner?"

Regardless of that, he'd return Beethoven for a little rest before switching Paula out of his Party and into the PC, then summoning Zorn and gestured to all the soggy, Fainted little critters.

"Alright Zorn, are these the sort of Pokemon ya enjoy eating? They're small, mammalian, and don't have a hint of metal to them that I can detect, so if you don't like them, then I'm officially at a loss at what you will eat, besides Pokechow."

If they are and he eats them all, goodie! Promise to his scaled subterror at last fulfilled! If not, shoot! Back to the hunt then....

(Or if they don't eat all the moles, Ran would think this is a prime opportunity to summon and greet his new Aerodactyl, as what better way to do introductions than with a nice meal for your new partner? In that case, give me a scene that shows off their personality and reaction to Ran upon being released and then offered fooooood.)

After all these scenes are played out, Ran will reunite with the group and decide from there if they'll split up or stay together, and what path(s) they'll choose!

Beethoven understands, though he's still not particularly happy about it.  He won't make a racket though, as he's been trained to not make excessive noise in a mine without good reason.

Zorn licks his lips.  Moments later, he's torn into 3 of the Modrille and made a bloody mess of the scene.  I won't go into detail since I believe leaving it up to the imagination would be far more effective, but let's just say it isn't a very pretty sight.

3 of the Modrille are untouched once Zorn's had his fill.  He gives Randolph a thumbs up, some blood staining his jaws and a bone sticking out of his mouth like an old fashioned cigarette.

Three more Great Balls in those Kabutos. I aware those guys can be eaten by predator Pokemon. And leave those guys is not cool. 

If you want @Dragonstrike, you can just post the dice rolls and leave the stats for later since those Fossil Pokemon will be traded with Rowan when we finish with Dialga.

But BEFORE he sends them all his account on Bebe's PC, he turns towards his sparkling faeeveelution once more: "D'you think ya can let a Healing Bell ring b'fore they're off? Yesyes I know a nurse will handle 'em immediately once noticin' the doggo's state, but we don't wanna give her a heart attack nor let 'em suffer unnecessarily, do we?~"

This means she will cast a Heal Bell to cure all the Lycanroc's paralysis as well as the Midday Form's poisoning, then send them to the PC. If an Accu Rolll is needed for that, it's 4 Special + 4 Contest + 3 Perform - 2 Pain = 9d6.


Once that's done, he approaches Draven once more, stroking him over the bat-ears and telling him that "How 'bout, d'you wanna take a break 's well, restore some more of your vigor? Given this terrain we're c'rrently in it'd do ya well, 'n I don't wanna throw you at more foes that may be immune to your toxins. ...So?~" Only (and ONLY) if Draven agrees, he's sent to the PC as well, and his free place in the party will be taken by Mercury.


And finally, once all that is done and dealt with, he offers a hand and an encouraging smile towards Karen: "So, how 'bout we get goin' then as well?~ I've sent the Lycanroc to a PC Box of mine for proper treatment at a Center, they're not with me right now. I'm the least one ya'd have to fear anythin' from, and I'm making DAMN SURE that it'll stay that way."

No roll needed for the Heal Bell.  Ring, ring!  No more statuses!

Draven would like a break after nearly getting bodied by those Lycanroc, yes.  That was harder than he thought it was going to be.

"...o-okay..."  Karen follows, not seeming to be fully paying attention.  She's still a little shocked that her Mightyena decided to listen to her for once.
