Byron sends out his Aggron! "Let's see ya crack this beauty's shell, ya bastard gemstone!" Randolph knows that if Byron is using both his Excadrill and Aggron, his two most powerful physical attackers, he must really mean business!
Lucas sends out his signature Torrterra, Turk! "I think it's about time you saw a little action on this adventure. You agree, right old friend?" The large turtle shakes his shell in agreement, scattering leaves from the tree on his back. There's baaaaarely enough room for the massive turtle pokemon, particularly when there's also a rather large Aggron standing nearby as well.
Diamond Steelix Round 2 Initiatives
Aggron: (1) + 8 = 9
Coal Onix A: 12* (this is the one with the chipped horn)
Paula: 13
Turk: (4) + 9 = 13
Coal Onix B: 14*
Susano'o: (5) + 9 = 14
D-Steelix: 18*
The glowing, pointed diamonds glow even brighter when new pokemon enter the battlefield! They rise up and crash into the newcomers mercilessly before settling down again!
Aggron takes 1 damage. 11/12 HP
Turk takes 1 damage. 11/12 HP
Susano'o takes 1 damage. 7/8 HP

*Minor Flashback!*
When the Diamond Steelix unleashed that scathing flurry of diamond shrapnel, Ran's eyes went wide as dinner plates in shock as he recognized the Move it used before he swore loudly at everyone after he gets up from off the ground, not wanting to believe the conclusion he drew but having not choice but to with the evidence before him....!
"ARCEAS AND GIRATINA DAMNIT, THAT DIAMOND STEELIX JUST USED DIAMOND STORM! THAT'S SOMETHING ONLY A FUCKING DIANCE IS SUPPOSED TO PULL OFF! HOW IN ALL NINE CIRCLES OF HELL DOES IT KNOW HOW TO USE THAT MYTHIC'S MOVE? GODS FUCKING DAMNIT IT ALL THAT TAUROS SHIT!!!"
Yeah....he's not too thrilled with his realization, and he's letting everyone know how he feels about that!
*Minor Flashback End!*

Kogeki was scared by Rans information, but he decided to calm down and try to focus in beat those enemies. "Susano'o! Focus your efforts in that Steelix! Use Snatch right now! This will sure steal that defense boost from him! Then go with Hidden Power and Waterfall against Onix(B)! If Onix (B) is defeated, use on Onix (A) instead!"
"But in case they both faint, use Iron Head against Steelix!"
Snatch: Smart(3)+Survival(3)+Stealth(3)-Actions(2)=7D6
Effect: Erase target boosts and add said boosts to user.
Hidden Power(Water): Special(3)+Fight(3)+Channel(3)-Actions(4)=5D6
Damage: Power(4)+Special(3)+STAB(1)+Sheer Force(2)+SE(2)+Rain=11D6+2
Effect: Doesnt matter. Hit all foes.
Waterfall: Dex(3)+Fight(3)+Brawl(3)-Actions(6)=3D6
Damage: Power(3)+STR(*4)+STAB(1)+Sheer Force(2)+SE(2)+Rain=11D6+2
Effect: Effects doesnt matter.
In case both Onix faint:
Iron Head: Dex(3)+Fight(3)+Brawl(3)-Actions(6)=3D6
Damage: Power(3)+STR(*4)+STAB(1)+Sheer Force(2)=10D6
Effect: Effects doesnt matter.

7/8 HP
Diamond Steelix Round 2
Steelx: Fresh (?/? HP) , Confused, Is a pseudo 'Legendary' Shadow Pokemon and Knows Diamond Storm ; Has Plot Device or Ability that negates Water Damage (at the very least) , and is most likely Steel / Rock Type at the very least (Based on it being NVE by Icy Wind, and getting STAB on Diamond Storm)
Coal Onix A: 14/34 HP, - 1 DEX, Asleep ; Might be Weak to Fire
Coal Onix B: 20/34 HP, - 1 DEX, Charging a Dig (Out of Bounds) ; Might be Weak to Fire
Paula: 9/9 HP, Has been Max Potioned
Battlefield: Under the effects of Trick Room (3 Rounds Remaining), Rain Dance (3 Rounds Remaining), and Stealth Rock on PC's side (Permanent until removed by one method or another); Possible to use Fire Moves safely now, Rain could cause further instability to cave room; Use of Rock Slide could potentially worsen rate of degradation of cave room
Everyone Else's Pokemon: - 1 HP from Stealth (Except for Paula)
Ran can't help but let out a bark of laughter at his bestie's jab at the diamond demon, grinning to himself and shouting "Good one, Alman!" Seeing him summon his Aggron into the fray immediately sobers him up, though, as it only highlights how much of a hellish nightmare this Fight was if he felt the need to bring them along with Excadrill in the first place. Turk and Susano's appearance is meet with a short nod of approval on his part, and after healing Paula he's just as quick to start barking his Orders and some suggestions to his comrades!
" Paula, lull that goddamn Steelix to Sleep with your Singing voice, then swarm them with bubbles, blast one of the Onix with Water Pulse, and give whichever Onix is hurting the most a soft Draining Kiss! Partners, I think we should gang up and pummel that Sleeping monster (C. Onix A) with the best we got while we still can and then focus on the other and Steelix, 'cause its weak, wide open, and the other is hiding like a coward! That demonic string of diamonds posy is about to fall apart on it, so let's keep on applying the pressure until they shatter!"
Orders: Paula will attempt to use a Conditional Willpointed Sing on Diamond Steelix, then follow up with a Bubble, a Water Pulse on Onix A (If its still unFainted) or Onix B (If not), then Draining Kiss on whatever target is weakest left. If Steelix is NOT put Asleep by the time Paula's next Action comes up, or if it wakes up later on in the Round, Ran will use a Trainer Action to attempt to draw its aggro onto him/his Pokemon by 'taunting' and/or infuriating it by a jab at its strength/ego, loudly but coolly saying thus while staring at their form:
"Ya think you're the hard, toughest, and shiniest boss of the earth, don't you Steelix? Well, you're not. 'Cause all I see is a pathetic and dull coward. One that has to hide behind its kin and subvert their Will in order to feel as special as you think ya are. If you're foolish to believe otherwise, prove me wrong. I dare you to, ya spineless faker."
That should do it, so let the next part of this gem of a battle begin!
Moves:
Everything listed about Sing and Bubble can be applied to this Round's List of Moves to (Except for + 2 Accuracy for Bubble, since it's the 2nd Action this time)
Water Pulse
Accuracy: 9D6 Base Pool - 6 Actions = 3D6 Base Dice
Damage: Same as Bubble
Effect: *Confuse 3*
Draining Kiss
Accuracy: I'm actually not entirely sure on this, as Paula's Evo into a Syrentide could have bumped her Insight by 1 if her + 1 Insight Surprise doesn't actually count towards her Base Insight (As in, is the Surprise a Flat Modifier that's applied AFTER all other calcs / adjustments are done?) . If not, then its 2D6 Base Dice
Damage: SPE (3) + 2 + STAB = 6D6 Base Damage
Effect: Draining Recovery Move
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

Shadow Dragonair Round 2 Initiatives
Dragonair: (5) + 10 = 15
Scizor: (5) + 9 = 14
Octavia: (3) + 7 + 2 = 12
Dratini x5: (3) + 8 = 11
Nidoqueen: (1) + 8 = 9
Aspid: (3) + 6 = 9
Astoria: (1) + 7 = 8
New participants: 2 Pokemon from Karen, Milotic from Rui; both fresh
Stats/Conditions
Stalagmites that served as cover have been destroyed
Octavia @4/7HP
Astoria @full HP
Dragonair taunted (Round 2/4), non-confused, 8/17HP
2 Dratini remaining, both @7/8HP, 1 confused the other not
Link to Round 1
------------------------------------
Oof, that Shadow Panic really deserves its name, even Kee has to fight an urge to flinch as the shadows approach and get a violent hold of anything this Dragonair considers prey. HAH, but it didn't account for him and Octavia disarming this situation their own way, away with an agitated feelings and back to a clear mind!~ Very nice detail about the bell tossed to use Heal Bell, I like to think that the small bell is a toy Kee used to play with Octavia when he was a smol boy and she a smol shiny Eevee.
When Scizor brings up that round blue orb-thingy, Kee remembers it as an Item he asked Scizor about earlier, and he's utterly fascinated by the effect it casts! Quite a powerful Item indeed. "Great move, Scizors, now we can keep an upperhand!~" He also can't help but to wonder whether there are more of these orbs and what other effects they may have. Are there some to locate the Stairs? Or to escape this whole dungeon-thing? Huuuuh, so many possibilities.
There go the stalagmites everyone was hiding behind!~ It was nice while it lasted.
Towards Ex-Shadow Absol's suprise over a sudden nickname Kee responds with a sly and somewhat caring smile for her. Guess he just enjoys to nickname his Pokemon on a whim. He also grimances and looks startled over Astoria's obvious uncomfort over using a copied Shadow Move and immediately tossed her an honest "Arghh, sorreh for havin' snatched SUCH a move, I'll make up for that to ya later! But ya're doin' FABULOUS so far, keep goin' dear! Aim to snatch attacks from the Dratini instead though for now, and charge up yar OWN wind currents!"
The suprise within him over the effectivities and weaknesses of Shadow Moves is very real, AND noted to use it to his advantage if applicable.
And so is the enjoyment over Octavia flirtingly toying with Dragonair and three the Dratini knocking themselves out. ~☆
Quote:Dragonair is furious, staring angrily at Octavia and Kee in particular.
Both return this stare with an unamused, almost smug one themselves. "WHAT'S WRONG, were ya not thaught to better NOT pick a bone with fairies?~ Well, let it be a lesson for ya then, but YOU ARE NOT YARSELF AT THA MOMENT, we HAVE to bring this to an end for yar OWN sake!!1!1"
Quote:Rui calls for Scizor to retreat and looks uncertainly at both the pokeball containing Milotic and Milotic, unsure who she should ask to fight next.
Oh, changing fighters? While Octavia unflinchingly keeps hissing at the draconic foes, Kee tosses some words of encouragement and advice towards Rui about that: "We've got this Rui, WE'VE GOT THIS, but yes DO bring precious Milotic into this if ya like, Just keep her OUT of tha direct line of attack! Listen, what ya could do is target those stalagmites up there and let 'em crash down on Dragonair & co. with a well-placed Water Gun or Pulse or anythin'; dontcha worry that only sounds cruel, it's more like clever usage of the terrain to your own advantage!~~"
Quote:Karen gasps when each of her pokemon faint to the Dragons' onslaught, recalling them into their pokeballs and scrambling to pick out two more. "No no no...that didn't go how I wanted it to at all...!"
Cue more panic! And cue Kee trying to reassure Karen with some CALMING words directly adressed to her. "Kareeeeen, Karen-dear, get a hold of yarself, we've got this, WE'VE GOT THIS, rarely ever battles go how one wanted 'em to go, that either requires an OP-skill on 'Mon and Trainer or a truckload of luck or both, but WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS T'GETHER R'GARDLESS so please bring up your next fighters and let us continue!~"
------------------------------------------------------
Forgot to state that for the previous Round, but Astoria's Icy Pressure halfs the dragon's Will Score.
She's also holding a Custap Berry, but is asked to not nom it if she uses a move with Priority anyway. If it's Razor Wind, then yes, she shall eat it.
Octavia will revceive some healing from Kee for his 1st Trainer Action, it's a Potion if she falls to 3HP and a Super Potion if it's less than 3HP.
What I also want her to do is jump in and take/'absorb' Dragon Type'd moves for allies, say grant cover for an ally which is targeted by a Dragon Type'd attack including Twister. Granting cover does not use up her Actions.
------------------------------------------------------
Octavia's Actions, all primarly targeting Shadow Dragonair:
Accuracy Roll Draining Kiss 1: 4 Insight + 4 Contest + 3 Allure - 2 Pain - 2 Actions = 7d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 2 power + STAB = 7d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Half the damage dealt is restored.
Accuracy Roll Swift 2: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + 3 Channel - 2 Pain - 4 Actions = 4d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 2 power + Pixilate Bonus + *STAB = 8d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Fairy Type instead of Normal, hits Dragonair and the 2 Dratini even if the Accu Roll fails.
Conditional 3rd Action if applicable and there are enough dice to pull it off
Actually the same like in Round 1.- If Dragonair or (can't due to being taunted) any of the Dratini uses Agility or Dragon Dance, copy that boost with Psych Up. Base Accuracy Pool is 4 Insight + 4 Fight + 3 Channel = 11d6.
- If two or more allies are paralyzed via Thunder Wave or otherwise suffer a Status Ailment, cure those with a Heal Bell. Base Accuracy Pool is 4 Special + 4 Contest + 3 Perform = 11d6.
- If Octavia hasn't used Swift or Draining Kiss yet, use it as a third Action, prioritize Swift before Draining Kiss.
- If nothing of the above applies, use an Echoed Voice which has the same dicepool in Accuracy and Damage like Swift but hits only Dragonair and is soundbased.
No Clash Orders for her for this Round.
Astoria's Actions
She still has +1 Defense = 4 Vitality in Kee's case and 8HP.
It's 1 Loyalty vs 3 Disobediance for her.
Accuracy Roll Me First 1 on either of the Dratini: 3 Dext + 4 Contest + 3 Perform - 2 Actions = 8d6
Damage Roll: Same as the move the target attempts to use +1
Additional notes: This move has +1 Priority and will fail if no damaging move is used.
Action No.2 is charging up a Razor Wind
How about more Brawl for Kee? -6XP for him as he encourages Astoria to take an example on Octavia and let loose his attack at those dragons with courage and boldness !!
Accuracy Roll Razor Wind 3: 3 Dext + 4 Fight + now 2 Brawl - 6 Actions = 3d6
Damage Roll: 4 Special + 3 power = 7d6
Additional notes: Hits all 3 foes and has a high chance to crit.
No Clash Orders for her either.

All of Paula's stats besides Base HP are the same as before. You need to have some absolutely massive base stat values to have an Attribute with a base value of 4 or 5 (At least 160 for base 4, and 200+ for base 5), and all of Paula's current Attribute values are equal to or greater than Syrentide's potential base Attributes.
Diamond Steelix Round 2
Randolph uses his Max Potion on Paula! 9/9 HP, but she can't be healed with Potions for the rest of the day!
Aggron begins shedding metal off of its armor, making itself faster and more nimble.
Autotomize 1
3 + 3 + 0 - 2 = 4
(6)(3)(3)(3)
+2 Dex and 1/2 weight for Aggron!
Zzzzzz...*snort*...huh? Uh oh, Onix A is awake!
Wake Up A 1
(6)(4)(6)(1) 5/5 successes
Onix A woke up!
Paula sings her best, trying to neutralize the threat of the most dangerous foe present. Her singing is almost hypnotic, able to capture the hearts and attention of all who hear it...
Sing 1
No effect on Diamond Steelix!
Steelix's eyes don't even glaze over as Paula sings, however. Her power isn't strong enough to subdue a creature with such vast strength and a hypnotic gaze of its own. The Diamond Steelix is immune to Sleep.
Lucas continues to run damage control before damage can happen. "Turk, the Rain's given us an advantage! Make sure this floor shifts as minimally as possible!"
Turk shakes the tree on his back, scattering leaves across the ground of the entire room. They almost seem to drink in the rain summoned by Bronzong's Rain Dance, and they quickly and almost magically become a layer of grass that turns the floor soft and green!
Grassy Terrain 1
5 + 4 + 3 - 2 = 10
(6)(6)(3)(4)(3)(4)(2)(3)(1)(3)
Grass covers the battlefield!
Onix B resurfaces, striking at Byron's Aggron! Aggron grabs hold of Onix's head as the two of them make contact, and the smaller large pokemon throws the rock snake aside without even flinching! Onix coils up and roars back at Aggron!
Dig B 1
8* - 1 - 2 = 5
(5)(4)(3)(6)(3)
2* + 3 + STAB - 7 + QE = 1 + 2
(5) Aggron takes 3 damage! 8/12 HP -1 Pain
While everyone's distracted, Susano'o has snuck up behind Steelix. He plunges a sharp, water covered fin it into the crystal pokemon's hide! The liquid splashes across Steelix's skin and spreads, covering it from head to toe. Susano'o then retreats and gestures, drawing the water off of Steelix and towards himself. Susano'o becomes coated in a film of shimmering water, and Steelix's hide returns to its normal, less metallic coloration.
Snatch 1
(6)(5)(1)(1)(6)(2)(3)
-2 Def for Steelix, +2 for Susano'o!
Steelix, seeing what Turk is doing, lunges for the turtle, jaws wide open and fangs covered in frost!
Ice Fang 1
11* - 2 - 1 - 2 = 7
(6)(1)(2)(1)(3)(6)(6)
2 + 4* - 6 + QE = 1 + 2
(5) Turk takes 3 damage! 8/12 HP -1 Pain
Fl: (5)(2)
Fr: (5)(4)
Randolph yells his taunt at the massive, snake! Good idea? Only one way to find out!
Making a jab at Steelix's ego, eh? Shadow Pokemon don't really have many emotions, so such arguments don't usually have much of an effect. However, in this particular instance, Randolph yelling at Steelix has a high chance of drawing the pokemon's attention, though not for reasons he knows. +3 Bonus to the roll
Aggro Attempt
3 Tough + 1 Contest + 0 Intimidate + Bonus = 4 + 3
(6)(4)(4)(3)(6*)(6*)(6*) 7 successes
(4)(5)(2)(1)(1)(4)(2)(4)(3)(2) 3 successes
Steelix gaze swivels to solely rest on Randolph, Paula bravely defending him. The former miner can feel that burning feeling of destruction emanating from the crystal snake's aura. He definitely has Steelix's attention now, at least for this Round.
Aggron scoops up some mud that's been left in the wake of the Rain Dance, then flings it at Steelix's eyes!
Mud Slap 2
5* + 5 + 3 - 1 - 4 = 8
(4)(1)(1)(2)(5)(1)(3)(5)
1 + 2 + 2 Life Orb - 6 + QE = 1 + 2
(2) Steelix takes 2 damage! 38/40 HP -1 Pain
-1 Accuracy for Steelix!
Steelix thrashes around when hit by the Ground type move, trying to get the mud out of its eyes. Despite how weak that attack was, it hurt it more than anything else has so far.
Onix A attempts to create more seismic activity to cause even more of the ceiling to collapse, but the Grassy Terrain prevents the tremor from Onix's tail slam from having much of an effect.
Rock Slide A 2
8 - 1 - 2 - 4 = 1
(1) Miss!
Paula changes tunes once more, blowing bubbles to accentuate the song's highlights. The Onix recoil whenever they pop, but Steelix plows through them without a second thought as it rushes towards the singer.
Bubble 2
(5)(3)(2)(4)(5)
(5)(1)
Onix A takes 3 damage! 11/34 HP -2 Pain
Onix B takes 3 damage! 17/34 HP -2 Pain
(1)
(1)
It doesn't affect Steelix...
Another shake of Turk's tree, and a hail of leaves descends on the rock snakes!
Razor Leaf 2
5 + 4 + 3 - 1 - 1 - 4 = 6
(1)(4)(5)(1)(1)(6)
5 + 2 + STAB + 1 GT - 6/10 (+QE) = 3/1 (+2)
(2), (4)(6)
Onix A takes 4 damage! 7/34 HP -2 Pain
Onix B takes 4 damage! 13/34 HP -2 Pain
Steelix takes 0 damage!
Onix B attempts what Onix A just did, to much the same effect.
Rock Slide B 2
(3) Miss!
It's Susano'o's time to shine as his fins grow to twice their size, covered entirely in a layer of water! His ultimate technique shall wash these serpents away!
Hidden Power Water 2
(5)(1)(2)(4)(5)
(5)(6)(5)(1)(2)(3)(5)
Onix A takes 6 damage! 1/34 HP -3 Pain
Onix B takes 6 damage! 7/34 HP -2 Pain
It doesn't affect Steelix...
Steelix rams Paula with maximum force and its full body weight. The blow is staggeringly powerful, and it's all she can do to remain standing after such a ridiculously massive pokemon bowls into her.
Shadow End 2
11* - 4 Act - 1 Acc - 1 Pain - 2 Confused = 3
(3)(5)(4)
4* + 4 - 3 + SE = 5 + 1
(4)(4)(4)(1)(5) Paula takes 5 damage! 4/9 HP -2 Pain
Byron yells a warning to everyone. "Everyone stay clear! Fire in the hole!"
One of his Aggron's hands has spontaneously caught fire, and it rushes up to one of the Onix and punches it with a flaming fist! Half of Onix's body explodes into flame, and it thrashes around violently as the rain begins to turn into steam upon colliding with its flaming carapace! The coal veins in the room that Onix makes contact with begin to steam as well, quickly heating up when the fire touches it.
Fire Punch 3
15* - 1 - 6 = 8
(5)(2)(2)(2)(1)(1)(1)(4)
5 + 3 + 2 LO - 6 - 1 NVE + 3 Coal Skin - 1 Rain = 4 + 1
(4)(4)(6)(6) Onix B takes 5 damage! 2/34 HP -2 Pain
Onix B is Burned 2 due to Coal Skin!
Onix A burrows underground in a last ditch effort to do some damage!
Charging Dig A 3
Unfortunately, that's also where Paula was aiming her next attack.
Water Pulse 3
Misses because Onix A is Digging!
Turk and Onix B both begin to glow green as the turtle absorbs the snake's energy, aiming to finish them off.
Absorb 3
12 - 1 - 6 = 5
(6)(3)(1)(3)(4)
Onix takes at least 2 damage, triggering its Coal Skin Ability! It hangs on with 1 HP instead of fainting!
Turk recovers 1 HP! 9/12 HP -1 Pain
Onix B blinks and shakes its head, as if snapping out of a daze, then immediately burrows into the ground, leaving the battlefield completely!
Susano'o was also aiming at the Onix with his next attack, unfortunately, and thus misses because his targets are Out of Range.
Waterfall 3
Misses because Onix A is Digging!
Seeing that its Onix have either both taken severe damage or fled the battlefield, Steelix roars and flies into a frenzy! The whole cave begins to shake, and the ceiling trembles dangerously!!!! The Grassy Terrain holds the floor together, though, preventing the EQ from causing more than minimal damage to the room. It's only a temporary solution, however, and everyone can hear other parts of the cave collapsing already. This is getting dangerous!
Earthquake 3
11* - 6 - 2 - 1 = 2
(2)(5)
4* + 4 - 1/3/6/7 = 3/1 minimum
(3), (4)(1)
Paula takes 0 damage!
Turk takes 0 damage!
Susano'o takes 1 damage! 6/8 HP -1 Pain
Aggron takes 2 damage! 6/12 HP -2 Pain
Onix A takes at least 1 damage, but nobody has any idea what happens to it!
Randolph takes 1 damage! 5/6 HP
None of the other trainers take any damage!
Aggron headbutts Steelix, attempting to leave a dent in that tough hide with his incredibly powerful attacks!
Iron Head 4
15* - 8 - 2 = 5
(3)(4)(1)(5)(5)
3 + 5 + STAB + 2 LO - 10 = 1
(3) Steelix takes 0 damage.
(-)(-)(-) Steelix doesn't even Flinch when hit by the attack, as its incredibly tough Diamond Skin Ability protects it from such trivial blows.
Paula attempts to muster enough energy to strike one last time, all to defend Randolph from this dangerous enemy.
Draining Kiss 4
10 - 2 - 8 = 0
Paula's too tuckered out from defending Randolph, however. She's still smiling, but she's clearly struggling to stay conscious after taking such a massive beating.
Lucas has a plan for every situation, though! "Turk, we need to hit that thing's weaknesses, and we need to hit them now! Soften it up a little!"
The large turtle stumbles over to the even larger Diamond pokemon's tail, then brings a foot down on top of it, attempting to crush the small, pointy tip!
Rock Smash 4
12 - 8 - 1 = 3
(3)(1)(6)
(1) Steelix takes 2 damage! 36/40 HP -1 Pain
(6)(4)(1)(4)(3) -1 Defense for Steelix!
Steelix yelps in slight pain as the Fighting type move connects! Its aura flares to life as it tries to clear out the pokemon swarming it!
Shadow Rave 4
12 - 8 - 1 - 2 - 1 = 0
Steelix takes 1 damage in its confusion as the attack causes a chunk of the ceiling falls on its head! Steelix doesn't even seem to react to the rock knocking it on the noggin, though. 35/40 HP -1 Pain
Turk's not done yet, though! He stomps on the ground next, causing a localized tremor that's unaffected by the Grassy Terrain, erupting underneath Steelix's body!
Earth Power 5

The Grassy Terrain surges with energy, healing grounded pokemon!
Turk recovers 2 HP from it and his Leftovers 11/12 HP
Aggron recovers 1 HP. 7/12 HP -1 Pain
Paula recovers 1 HP. 5/9 HP -1 Pain
Susano'o recovers 1 HP. 7/8 HP
D-Steelix recovers 1 HP. 32/40 HP -1 Pain
Diamond Steelix Round 3 Initiatives
Lucas, the now revealed master strategist, offers some final advice!
"Hit that Steelix with as many Ground and Fighting type moves as you can! This whole room's probably going to collapse as soon as the Grassy Terrain wears off, so we need to end this quickly! If you don't have Fighting or Ground moves, hit it with Special Attacks instead of Physical ones, or moves that you're likely to Crit with!"
With both Onix defeated, there's enough room for two more pokemon to be summoned by the trainers. If Randolph and/or Kogeki don't summon additional pokemon, then Lucas will summon Sally, and Byron will summon his Bastiodon.

"O-okay, got it! H-here we go, M-Milotic!"
Rui throws the pokeball, summoning Milotic! The massive sea serpent slides into the water with the Dragons and starts circling them. Well well well, what do we have here? Troublemakers? That won't do at all...guess I need to teach you all a lesson in politeness.
Karen summons her Magnezone and Roserade next! "We're almost there...just a little more..."
Round 2 Initiatives
Dragonair: 15
Lotus: (6) + 7 = 13
Octavia: 12
Dratini x2: 11
Milotic: (1) + 8 = 9
Astoria: 8
Magnezone: (3) + 5 = 8
Shadow Dragonair Round 2
L: (6)
D: (5)(3)(3)
Kee's off to a good start with Astoria, it seems. She continues to follow orders despite her own hesitation.
Me First 1
(4)(2)(1)(2)(2)(2)(4)(5)
Twister 1
3 + 2 + STAB + 1 MF - 3/4 + SE = 4/3 + 1
(6)(5)(1), (6)
(5)(4)
(6)(1)
(5)(3)
Both Dratini take 4 damage, and one of them Flinches! 3/8 HP -2 Pain
Dragonair takes 3 damage! 5/17 HP -2 Pain
Dragonair whips up another shadowy twister, aiming it at the pokemon it thinks will cause the most trouble.
Shadow Storm 1
11 - 2 - 2 = 7
(5)(6)(3)(1)(3)(3)(5)
4 + 3 - 3/4/5 + SE = 4/3/2 + 1
(4)(6), (1), (1)
Octavia takes 3 damage! 1/7 HP -3 Pain
Astoria takes 3 damage! 5/8 HP -1 Pain
Lotus takes 2 damage! 6/8 HP -1 Pain
Milotic takes 2 damage! 23/25 HP -1 Pain
Lotus won't take that lying down! She flicks her flowers, and a large glob of poison collides with Dragonair soon afterwards!
Sludge Bomb 1
6 - 2 - 1 = 3
(5)(5)(1)
4 + 3 + STAB - 4 = 4
(4)(6)(4)(5) Dragonair takes 4 damage! 1/17 HP -3 Pain
(4)(1)(3)
Octavia walks over to the edge of the water again to give that Dragonair a seemingly friendly but very, very tight squeeze.
Draining Kiss 1
(4)(3)(3)(2)(4)(5)
Dragonair takes at least 1 damage and faints! The black aura dissipates as its eyes change back to their normal purple color, then they close as Dragonair falls unconscious, floating on the surface of the water along with old dragon skins and Dratini alike.
Octavia recovers 1 HP. 2/7 HP -2 Pain
*rolls* The Confused Dratini Flinches 1!
The other Dratini creates a small Twister. The attack isn't nearly as threatening without the rest of the Dratini backing it up.
Twister 1 (aimed at Lotus, Octavia, and Milotic)
9 - 2 - 2 = 5
(6)(5)(2)(1)(3)
6 - 3 = 3
As Octavia is on all 4s while Lotus is standing upright, she is only able to provide 1/4 cover for Lotus, reducing the damage by 1 die.
(1)(3), (4)
Milotic takes 1 damage. 22/25 HP -1 Pain
It doesn't affect Octavia...
Lotus takes 0 damage.
(5)(3)
(6)(3) Lotus Flinches 2!
Milotic swims circles around the Dratini in the water, creating her own mini whirlpool with the attack. The Dratini end up being very, very dizzy once the much larger pokemon is through with them.
Twsiter 1 (Milotic)
10 - 2 - 1 = 7
(6)(3)(6)(1)(2)(3)(6)
4 + 2 - 3 + SE = 3 + 1
(4)(2)(3)
(6)(1)
(6)(1)
Both Dratini take 2 damage and Flinch 2! 1/8 HP -3 Pain
Magenzone's magnets glow in three different colors as it fires three different beams of energy at the Dratini simultaneously!
Tri Attack 1
8 - 2 = 6
(4)(1)(3)(4)(3)(5)
(5)(4)(3)
(3)(2)
(6)(3)
(3)(2)
The Dratini that is not Confused takes 2 damage, is Paralyzed, and faints!
Kee uses a Super Potion on Octavia. 7/7 HP
Lotus Flinches 2
Swift 2
No need to roll anything for this attack. The final Dratini takes at least 1 damage and faints. Octavia prances, happy to have 'slain' these dangerous Dragons.
Well, that worked out rather well! So well, in fact, that Astoria gets +1 Loyalty! That battle definitely helped boost her confidence a little, and Kee definitely seems to know what he's doing.
Karen and Rui both breathe a sigh of relief, and Karen walks over to Kee to ask him a question. "Is it okay if I catch the Dragonair?" She hasn't caught very many pokemon on this adventure, and she seems to be interested in trying to train the large dragon.
Every pokemon that participated gets 4 exp. Human characters get 5 exp each.

Ahahahahahaha, when then happens Kee prances over to Octavia himself to insta-sweep her into a close and fond cuddle-hug, Octavia happily reciprocates this affection by nuzzling and tenderly wrapping her sparkling ribbons around him. Yes she has ENJOYED slaying these dragons, that was fun fun fun, we gotta do that again sometime!~~ Kee chuckles as is dearesr faeeveelution starts to lick his cheek like those screen-licking-icons that were popular in 2010. "Oh c'moooon, not in front of the ladies, stahp, hahaha!~~" It looks way too adorable to watch. And only slightly out of place.
Quote:Well, that worked out rather well! So well, in fact, that Astoria gets +1 Loyalty! That battle definitely helped boost her confidence a little, and Kee definitely seems to know what he's doing.
Yay, Kee's eager increases as beautiful Absol retreats from the lake and trots over to him, gives him a rather timid yet honest smile and - what's that?! - carefully rubs herself against a leg of his? Awww must her her way to show affection and say thanks for having guided her successfully through this duell with the dragons, Kee's very moved by that ☆(╥ω╥) and pats and scratches her white head-fur.
The he knees down to be on eye-level with her, his gaze an excusing one. "Listen, I'm 'honestly sorreh for ya havin' snatched and copied a.... shadow move of all things, I could see and feel how uncomfortable that's been for ya. Been gamblin' and hopin' that this dragon would bring up a DRAGON move, slayin' that dragon with 'nother dragon, ya see..." He runs a hand through his hair. "I said I'll make up for ya. So, do tell, is there anythin' you'd like or wish for? Somethin' special to eat, a particular training or play-time to hone yar skills in a safe environment, just bein' left alone for a bit, something?"
Quote:Karen and Rui both breathe a sigh of relief, and Karen walks over to Kee to ask him a question. "Is it okay if I catch the Dragonair?" She hasn't caught very many pokemon on this adventure, and she seems to be interested in trying to train the large dragon.
Karen's simple question receives a simple answer: "Oh, sure, if ya like!~ Wanted to, uh, ask ya whether ya'd like to capture this Ex-Shadow Dragonair anyway, since I do not." Kee shivers a little over that thought but manages to give Karen an encouraging look. Octavia playfully glances at her: 'I DARE tha dragon to hurt ya, they'll suffer mah wrath if they do!~ "
Kee, Astoria and Octavia let their gaze wander across this underground lake, now being able to step to its shore. "The only thing I kinda wanna have... Is tha SKIN this Dragonair and the Dratini shed, see that ones that's driftin' on tha surface? Those are rare 'n maybe valuable, and quite pretty. And a SCALE of it if doable."
Mechanically speaking, that Dragon Scale* Dragonair is holding here:
Dragonair begins whipping up another Twister, and Octavia's unable to Clash it because she's been Flinched! The draconic winds howl through the caves once more!
Twister 3
11 - 6 - 2 = 3
(4)(3)(2)
4 + 2 + STAB + 1 Dragon Scale* - 2/3/5* (-3 Detect) = 6/5/0
If Kee can't reach those things without having to go into the lake, he will try to fish them up with his Good Rod, if that's not possible either he'll ask Mercury and Yurei to snatch them from the surface. Being birds, they should be able to do that easily.

You need to have some absolutely massive base stat values to have an Attribute with a base value of 4 or 5 (At least 160 for base 4, and 200+ for base 5), and all of Paula's current Attribute values are equal to or greater than Syrentide's potential base Attributes.
(Alright, thanks for the clarification there, mate!)
Bubble 2

Onix A takes 3 damage! 11/34 HP -2 Pain
Onix B takes 3 damage! 17/34 HP -2 Pain

It doesn't affect Steelix...
Another shake of Turk's tree, and a hail of leaves descends on the rock snakes!
Razor Leaf 2

(6)(1)(5) Steelix takes 4 damage! 31/40 HP -1 Pain

Steelix tries to clear its head with its final action of the Round, attempting to rid itself of the Confusion that's been ruining the effectiveness of its attacks.

(6)(6)(3)(2)(1)(2) 2/5 successes
The Grassy Terrain surges with energy, healing grounded pokemon!
Turk recovers 2 HP from it and his Leftovers 11/12 HP

Paula recovers 1 HP. 5/9 HP -1 Pain
Susano'o recovers 1 HP. 7/8 HP

Diamond Steelix: 32/40 HP, - 1 Pain, Confused (2/5 Cure Total), ; Is a Psuedo Legendary Shadow Pokemon ; Is Steel / Rock Type with Diamond Skin Ability (Makes it Immune to Water, Sleep, and Flinch, and may have other effects) ; Knows Diamond Storm, Shadow Rave, and Shadow Rush as Special Moves.
Battlefield Status: Under the effects of Rain and Trick Room ( 2 Rounds Remaining; Rain enables Fire Moves to be used safely), Grassy Terrain (3 Rounds Remaining), and Stealth Rocks on allies side of the field (Permanent until removed) ; Will be destroyed / starting collasping after Grassy Terrain ends ; Coal may or may not be burning
The dwarven craftsman can't help but grin in admiration at Lucas' foresightedness as their continental tortoise spread its Grassy Terrain to stabilize the rapidly crumbling cavern, barking out "Nicely done, lad!" That'll provide a much needed safety net, should that diamond demon decide to demolish the room with its more indiscriminate Moves in its arsenal!
He's less than pleased when it turns out to not only be Immune to Paula's Sing, but seemingly also being Flinched too, scowling very briefly at each discovery before he schools his expression. As a Geologist he knows diamond is one of the hardest natural minerals on Earth, but by the Regis it's not supposed to be this impervious to flaw! Hell, diamonds are supposed to be brittle, so that raises even more how in the molten mantel is it this tough. Goddamns, how he hates the Tauros shit the cosmic disaster comes up with!
His irritation with Diamond Steelix dampens considerably after it focuses its hellish attention on him, and it takes a considerable amount of effort for him not to flinch, shy, or show any weakness under its intense scrutiniy. Fiery tempered and indomitable in Will as he is, Ran ain't immune to the evil wrongness of that monster's gaze ....
Paula's is equally unnerved by her opponent's attention on Ran, but she converts into imperious displeasure and channels it to fuel her torrential backlash against , not letting her colossoil opponents and their 'leader' cow her even after they nearly turned them into a fish patty. No longer was she a meek little girl, but a mighty queen of the sea, and such a magnificent ascension is all thanks her wonderful partner, for whom she could put trust and faith in him. For that, and being a wonderful friend, she will not falter, she will not fail him now.
Fortunately for him, Byron, Lucas, and their partner's efforts in actually hurting the damn thing hit paydirt, with him smiling every time he sees that living string of diamond wails or moans in Pain from their attacks. Take that, ya damn monster!
However, in light of everything he's deciphered about Diamond Steelix , he quickly realizes something - Paula can't help take down it down. All her attacks would be utterly ineffective against it, and she's greatly worn out from this grueling battle. What's more, the rest of his current party was not exactly great to use against the glimmering snake either, as most of them were oriented towards pure Physical Offense with no viable/safe SE coverage against it that. The 'best' one out of them, Sekmet, would likely just make things exponentially worse with her Sandstream buffing it, let along the potential for her to go on an indiscriminate rampage or just being plain uncooperative. Diam could put some work in against them with her trickery, and his Ditto (Henceforth named Omina) could become one of Alman's or Lucas's Pokemon, but they're not ideal choices either for one reason or another.
Thus, Ran came to a grim conclusion : he'd have to bow out of the Fight now, and let the others finish off the diamond demon. Such a decision chaffed at him immensely, but stubborn and determined as he was, Randolph was no fool. By removing himself and his partner, he'd free up space for another Pokemon from the boy hero and his best friend better equipped to deal with Diamond Steelix , so his decision was for the best.
Still....he wished that he didn't have to so ignobly leave this Fight......and then he got an idea. Yes.....that would work indeed! Eureka! Ran waste no time in carrying out his newest plan, yelling out to his big siren, Lucas, and Turk!
"Lucas, Turk! Let Paula get up on top of ya! Paula, hop on top of them, and give everyone your blessing! She'll be out of the way on top of him, so summon another one of your partners and pulverize that goddamn monster into diamond dust! Trust me, this'll work!"
Oh so he hopes, anyway!
Orders: Already in the Meta Thread, so I'll just list the Accuracy of Lucky Chat and leave it at that!
