[Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows

Kogeki absolutely shudders in anticipation when the battle starts.  Probably not a secret why, given the opposition.

From which targets? Can I detect from what enemies Kogeki feel when looking at them? Murkrow it's pretty certain since it probably have a Dark type move. But what about the others?

Unfortunately, Anticipation only tells you there's a possible threat, not exactly what the threat is.

*Sigh* Let me get this straight: We are about to face a dangerous battle. With all of them with huge chance of faint any of us, and make us become Primal. Even more dangerous to Kee, since he is double weak against Fighting types.

And look! There TWO Fighting types! And that Combusken probably have High Sky Jump or Double Kick, which either one can beat the crap of him!

And how we could forget Forrestress! Steel type capable of destroy Karen and most of us completely: Zap Cannon, Protect, Toxic Spikes and look at this: He can learn Self-Destruct with 0 XP! Isn't this lovely?

Oh and that Wich bird can easily destroy Kogeki too! Look at this bastard moveset: Astonish, Pursuit, Haze, Wing Attack, Night Shade. And if he have a extra move he could have Perish Song.

In other words: Prepare new Char sheets or to go Primal because we ALL screwed just because of a bunch of lunatic Pokemon tell us to go away and then Dragonstrike decided they attack us anyway!

What kind of logic is that?! Is everything and everyone in this hell world rude, hostile, or now lunatic from "leave this place" to "KO" them?!

Screw that, I will kill them. And nothing will change my mind. Nothing. I tired of be "Mr. Nice Guy" and everyone show the middle finger to us.

OOC GM Note: I'm not going to throw ultra high powered moves like Zap Cannon and Self Destruct at you this early in the game.  This encounter is meant to be harder, yes, but you guys are absolutely capable of beating it.  Just look at everything you can throw back at them as a team.

I have yet to design an encounter with the express intent of purposefully causing you to lose.

@Spiritmon, you will NOT kill anyone, for multiple reasons that I won't explain now. I understand and empathize with you that you're super angry and pissed, but please please get a hold of yourself, okay?

Okay, @Dragonstrike, who of us is the one carrying an Escape Orb? I'm positive someone of us has one in their bag right now, if I'm not mistaken it's Karen as Kogeki gave it to her prior. Do we have to wait until it's her turn to use that Orb? Or is it legal to use it right away and get away? Because no way I wish to battle these guardians(?) and very likely go primal, consume most if not all of our Reviver Seeds and loose anyway and risk our precious X-Ray Specs. I bet and hope Marcus understands.
EDIT: IF there's really no other option of battling these guardians(?) I wish to go there prepared for this battle, aka heading into Secret Quarry with a bit of an altered inventory.

Kogeki gave Karen one, yes.  And yes, you would have to wait until her turn for her to use it.

This encounter is doable, though, I will note.  Potentially hard, but doable.

Also, if you use the Escape Orb (or everyone faints), the usual rules for Mystery Dungeons apply, and I'll have to redo the map and shuffle the locations of encounters.

Can you refresh my memory about the MD's rules? Just to make about the use of Escape Orb.

And I with Phantom. Screw this encounter be easy or not. We had problems with 1 big Pokemon. Now we have to face 3 evolved pokemon. And one with Dark type advantage.

My answer is: NO NO NO NO.

And...oh yeah. NO to this encounter!

Hmm, if you say so... Even if it's doable, I'm still scared and would much rather flee now and fight another day, trying to find out why we're not welcome in the first place. Given that me/Kee are leading the way currently, I'd guess I can/shall decide on whether to flee or fight... But first let me ask you all, any objections with fleeing now and fighting/escorting Marcus another time, entering Secret Quarry prepared for that hard encounter?

Mystery Dungeon Basics:

- A Mystery Dungeon has a different layout every time it is entered.  This means the map and placement of items and wild pokemon changes on each attempt (though the exact contents may not be completely random, in which case only the placement of specific encounters is randomized)
- If everyone faints in a Mystery Dungeon with no means of revival, they are transported back to the entrance of the dungeon immediately.
- Wild pokemon are generally aggressive on sight and mildly territorial (more intelligent ones may be able to be reasoned with)
- You heal 1 HP for every tile you move (unless otherwise specified)
- If you linger too long on a single floor, the mysterious wind/force will force you to leave the dungeon

Also, if you feel like you need an extra pair of hands, don't forget that Pyra has the Djinn's Bottle.

Edit: Oh yeah, and one other thing. PMD games have a consistent theme of being underdog stories. You'll consistently see unevolved mons taking on pokemon that would normally be far stronger than them, and Primal Shadows is going to be doing much the same at a lot of points (with stats scaled appropriately so that things aren't entirely unfair).
