[Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
By my understanding, scheduling exact times for sessions would be rather difficult based on the timezones we're all in.  It was definitely much easier in CCV to do longer sessions not only because all involved were less busy at that time, but also because there were fewer players in different parts of the world that we needed to schedule around simultaneously.  It doesn't help that my work schedule is prone to being inconsistent without warning, either, and when I am available for longer sessions might not necessarily line up with when everyone else is.

That being said, what would also help with things going more smoothly is faster response times from everyone (including me).  In this instance, I've been waiting on No One (and actively reminding him), but every time he's tried to start posting, he's gotten a surprise school assignment sprung on him, so I can hardly blame him for being unable to post consistently atm.  So for the current moment, I'll be autoing Daxter to get things moving again.  And yes, I do need to get better at enforcing the 'stay active or be autoed' rule if this is going to move at a decent clip again.

With all that in mind, I did have another idea that should hopefully get things moving a little faster after this chapter.  I'm thinking about ending the chapter after this dungeon, and then doing a time skip so we can get to more of the good stuff.  As fun as this has been, I'm sure everyone's eager to see more than the early game action and start doing more than one big group mission at a time.  Fewer players involved in a mission means less waiting for everyone to respond, which should hopefully mean I can respond in good conscience more quickly as well.  Prepping for multiple dungeons simultaneously is a little more work in the back end of the game, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run.  How's that sound?

Depends on what you define as 'good stuff' - but I like the ring of it, and if it allows us to move along/ahead and not dwell on early game things that may be necessary at the start but are not as fun as actual adventuring and exploring Mystery Dungeons (and with that, get involved in actual plot- or character-related happenings and scenes, yess!), even better! Sounds totally worth the effort and time to prepare multiple Mystery Dungeons indeed, as well as allows us to semi-do things at our own pace, if we're walking along independantly (compare with independant battles in SkullRuins).

That said, a big big sorry for me not having specified where to go next as that's my current tast with Kee being the leader. I wanted to do that since days, but was kinda busy with things (on the plus side of that, i now got a new care to drive to work and errands) and struggling with health issues. Am better though by now and will get to posting in GameThread right away!

Fair enough, but I feel that we could all at least keep each other in the loop about our schedules so that we know when would be a good time to do a session. We've somehow managed to host Iron's campaign here despite the difficulties , so I don't think it's a stretch we can duplicate it's successes if we put in the extra effort.

Yikes, that sounds rough. I know that I was a freak when it came to juggling my school work and posting, so I can understand how the difficulties of trying to have fun under a heavy workload like that is difficult, to say the least. Hopefully they'll be able to get back into the swing of things now that summer is almost upon us, unless their work is the time that just won't ever leave.

Hmm.....well, so long as we can give some general instructions to what our charas would do in the Time Skip (nothing too big), I'm down with this idea. While the logistics would be a bit of a pain, having multiple PCs in different M.D.s and running them concurrently would nicely solve the inherent issues of 'Big Party, Big Dungeon' AND allow for relatively quicker postings from everyone, since they don't have to wait as much for other PCs reactions before getting into it. The Training Mazes already sorta proved that concept, me thinks.

I DO think that the Leader of the group should have effective final say in what a given group does UNLESS they allow for discussion on the given course of action, and that any talk that happens after their decision can safely be relegated to Flashback Time while you progress the gamestate. Stuff like 'Leader goes west from X' , 'Group starts talking about this and that', and you only have to care about the first thing to write about, only adding in the group talk reaction after the fact if you can manage it. This would diminish the chance for NPCs to react to individuals to the group, but I'm certain that some clever writting or having a certain 'grace period' (where players can post and have them included in the DM response) would fix that. Just suggestions, though, so take them as you will everyone.

Well, I curious about this good stuff you been preparing. Normally I would prefer a more natural approach in developing the story before the interesting setting, but after waiting so long, I eager to finally do some plot development at last.

I just hope I at least get some material to make a new weapon.

I ready to reach our destination once and for all, beat Machamp and end this mission.

Game Thread will be updated later today.  I was busy last week with both various life things and participating in UCC's Arena Trap suspect for the Beta tier, so I wasn't able to get around to the update then.

GM's note: I would have probably vetoed team names involving three Ks in it due to historical events using that particular acronym.  I don't think I need to elaborate further on that, right?

I know mate. It was just a joke about Kogeki realizing the whole situation the three Ks. I had no intention in even involving that acronnym mate. Relax.

...But out of curiosity why would be the three K would be vetoed? I not very good in historical events so forgive my ignorance if I don't know what you mean.

Okay, I guess I do need to elaborate a little.  The triple K acronym was short for the name of a group that was particularly racist against people of color.  Not exactly a good moniker to be referencing, intentional or otherwise.

I know that's not the intention behind what you were saying, of course, but it's something that I still wanted to comment on regardless.

You essentially didn't want to accidently invoke Poe's Law or have us be accidently insensitive about race issue, which is something I'm more than onboard with. The only thing THAT group deserves is to be renouced, reigned in, and ultimately forgotten as anything but a footnote in history.
