[Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
*immediate ptsd of going through a monster house without reviver seeds.*
(I cleared the dungeon iirc, but had quick saved)

Here is what I am thinking for Karen: Gigalith et al. would be problematic; depending on initiatives, Victreebel et. al would be the most advantageous group for her to fight.

Side note: Archeops et al. or Probopass et al. almost seems like they were made for Roserade and Rhyperior

That's a good strategy. In terms of who we should focus first as our target I would recommend Butterfree. She might have Sleep, Poison or Stun powders. And disability moves can be annoying at the long run and can crippled us against the other enemies. Or focus too in Liligant, since she can get also access to Stun and Sleep powder. Both of them are dangerous but I think it is more possible to Butterfree have access to such moves, so spread moves shall be important. Sleep moves can be dangerous since who remember how devastating sleep stats can cause really difficult battles after the battle against Palkia?

Finally our last target should be Carbink since it's rock moves could hurt a lot. Spread moves moves against our enemies will be vital. Since we don't have much time to buff, I could either use Quick Attack+Shadow Punch and Feint against Butterfree. My priority moves will make me attack first and hopefully wound our enemy and the pain might make the accuracy be reduced since the powder moves are devastating but have a low accuracy. Hopefully this might open a chance to Kee spread attack and Platina electric move to finish off him. After that we might either leave Liligant pretty beat up, or even beat up.

Depending in how good is our strategy, we might defeat 1 enemy and 2 wounded, or at least 3 wounded enemies to be finish in the next round.

Also, we could either recruit Liligant and/or Butterfree. Debuff allies are excellent, specially a full evolved pokemon such as Butterfree or a easy to evolve Pokemon like Liligant.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

I would go for Petitil as ally since it can learn Aromatherapy and After You, two excellent support moves! However Quiver Dance, Safeguard and Tailwind are not bad either from Butterfree!

Well bloody 'ell, you're certainly piling on the updates after a relative drought period! Letting us summong the very Legends themselves for fun (and not so much fun, potentially) and profit AND throwing us into a Monster House on arrival? You mischievous, mavaric matey you! Hopefully this momentum will keep at a brisk pace!

I'd offer my thoughts and plans about everything, but right now I need to take a nap and think over everything. Until then, keep the discussion alive and hopping, fellows!

I do have to ask, though: do all the enemy groups have equal challenge ratings? Because I'm always one to take a meaty challenge head on if it doesn't violate my character's character too much!

Wink

The only group I'd say is distinctly different in the type of challenge it presents is the Archeops group.  The other four all have a structure of one strong pokemon, one moderate pokemon, and one weaker pokemon.  The Archeops group instead has a lot of frontloaded power that will drop off sharply in the latter half of the battle due to how Defeatist and Plus/Minus work, so I'd say it's likely to balance out.

Karen'll be in whichever group takes on Victreebel.
And a reminder, I'll be leaving for a 5 day trip either tomorrow evening/night or Saturday, so she'll most likely need to be auto'd as I'll more likeky than not be afk the whole time.

Have a safe and fun trip!  Hopefully you'll be back in time for the start of the Landorus fight!  (I doubt that we'll get there that quickly, but we'll see how this Monster House goes)

Victreebel's group is kinda bad for Daxter though so how about this:

The Archeops group has a double electric so I don't think it's a good idea for Daxter/Platina so let Roserade and Rhyperior take them.

You guys said something about wanting to go for Butterfree so you can go ahead and do that.

Hoopa can summon Enamorus for help (let's play it safe so that we don't have more to deal with).

Mika wants to go for Victreebel but Victreebel will smoosh Daxter so maybe Karen can join up with Twintails' group for this one.

If Keldeo joins up with Daxter and Sheena, we can take the Probopass group cos of Daxter's spread moves and Keldeoms water power. Rowlet can help out with helping Sheena avoid hits.

You guys should also take Snom for Powder Snow spread spam on Butterfree and Petilil.

Let Enamorus go with Zeraora/Dedenne/Bunnelby to take care of the Gigalith group.

Would like to suggest that Platina goes with the Twintails group to take on Victreebel so that she can hit both Ledyba and Victreebel.

Gigalith Group: Zeraora, Dedenne, Bunnelby, Enamorus
Archeops Group: Roserade, Rhyperior
Butterfree Group: Kogeki, Kee, Hoopa, Snom
Victreebel Group: Madame Twintails, Emolga, Karen, Platina
Probopass Group: Daxter, Sheena, Rowlet, Keldeo

Just one question though Dragon. Not sure if I missed anything but what happened to Rolycoly? Rolycoly would be good in the Butterfree group.
I'm no one special. Also, here's a pupper pic:

Ah yes, you're right.  Forgot to add Rolycoly in.  Will fix that.

Edit: Fixed! And with six in one default group, some redistribution can probably be afforded by it.

Okay cool.

Then it can be:

Gigalith Group: Zeraora, Dedenne, Bunnelby, Enamorus
Archeops Group: Roserade, Rhyperior
Butterfree Group: Kogeki, Kee, Hoopa, Snom, Rolycoly
Victreebel Group: Madame Twintails, Emolga, Karen, Platina
Probopass Group: Daxter, Sheena, Rowlet, Keldeo
