Alright, now that I read this again, I'm a bit confused about this: Didn't Spiritmon actually want to Fight the Big Snek? 'Cause I recall they were interested in doing so. I changed my vote on that assumption + No One's own vote to Fight the Snek, so I'd like this clarified before any dice or scene is enacted. If I'm right then the vote actually flops to 3 Fight Snek and 2 Not Fight Snek , which is an outcome I've always been in favor of.

If we do end up continuing, I reinterated my previous point to everyone - Playing it safe too much can screw over players that desire a challenge, and leaves me feeling more bitter about Platina's Primal Point gain (since it ended up going against what I wanted out of that Spar). It's a tendency I rather be moderated eventually , or at least open to more compromise rather than a large chuck of the group getting shy about a sudden spike of difficulty/riskiness and forcing me to go against my preferences or take an unreasonable risk of going solo.

Per the post immediately before the quoted one:

Quote:Nah, I more open to follow our path. Time to face Landorus.

So yes, Spirit flipped his vote is what I'm getting from that.  Between Karen, Kogeki, and Kee, that's 3 votes to not fight the big snek.

Post is taking me a little longer to get out than I was expecting btw.  Gotta iron out some details for descriptions and whatnot.  Gonna attempt to get it out before the release of the Teal Mask DLC sucks me in too much.

My vote was to not fight the snake, and we go our path to fight Landorus.

Also people, me thinks next time we should buy a few cheap items and in future battles, be main OR optional, to test it, to see if items work, to avoid we discover items block.

What is the most cheap item to buy @Dragonstrike?

I'd ask what changed your mind, since you were so gung ho about it like I was despite the reveal, but if you're certain, so be it.

Also, @Spiritmon, @PhantomUnderYourDesk, and Mika, since your decision to avoid the Big Snek was mostly couched in the information I revealed through my own actions at a steep price and that said avoidance has benefited you guys far more than me imo, I say you owe me a favor. Unintentionally or not you've screwed me over even harder than was intended by Dragonstrike by using that knowledge to deny a potentially awesome Fight (that we would've done without said knowledge) and made the consequences of my plan much more sucky.  To outline why, I fought Rhyperior for XP so I'd have enough to get the 4th Point of Instinct to unlock more of my Moveset for said Big Snek fight and Lando, so you turning averse has effectively negated half the reason I done so and compounded the point of Primal I gained.

Not to sound overly woke or dramatic, but you have ended up taking advantage of me in a lopsided manner mates, so I expect parity between us to be achieved in the future.

I...It was not my intention mate. Truly. Never was my intention in take advantage of you in any moment. And sure everyone else was not their intentions. I didn't get time to properly make my post. But after it was reveal Sandaconda item block, I was willing to not continue our path to fight him. Never was my intention in screw you over mate. Never was.

@Dragonstrike, is there any way to Windos turn back in it's decision? I don't want to feel responsible for screwing over a fellow player and friend of mine.

But in case in not be possible, I will make for you: Kogeki will be willing to do heavy training sessions and/or battle training with Platina.

Kogeki already though in train Platina and teach her his Kurayami arts since you mentioned she would might get interested in learn some of Kogeki fighting styles, so this can help. I know it's probably not enough to make up with you, if there something I could do to make up with, just say it.

Also, maybe in the future we should buy those Orbs. They have very interesting effects, specially All-Protect Orb, All-Hit Orb and Health Orb. The first grants the entire group Protect effect against the next three attacks each one (this could protect us in future boss fights, pun intended). The second the power to all attacks hit the enemies, which in can help us use more moves difficult to hit (not to mention this can save me a bit in overuse Will Points to force my moves to hit, with the only exceptions be in case of Pain Penalizations). The last one to heal one member of the group from stats drop and status effects, and the entire party immunity to those effects for the rest of scene (which I think is for the rest of encounter or the currently round? Correct me if I mistaken).

Also, I did not notice we kinda lack of other Holding items, like berries. Maybe we could buy a few, to keep a outside item use to grant us some healing. If I not mistaken, Kogeki have 1750 Pokedollar in his account. I will be responsible to buy the items I mentioned later when we finish our mission here. In character a ninja have tools to get advantage against enemies, and OOC I think we should have more items to use in future battles. What you people think?

Okay. I can think of several IC reasons for Karen helping Platina, so I will make good on that favor.

@Dragonstrike, if I may ask: Out of curiosity, what would the reward range have been if we had taken on the G-Max Sandaconda?

Also, I'm going to be going on another trip Sept. 27th and should be back Oct. 9th. I might be able to check in on my phone, but will otherwise be afk for that period. Hopefully it won't be an issue with the current pacing of the game, but should it need to happen, feel free to auto Karen during that timeframe.

That sounds fair enough, so we have a deal in this case. Obviously it was not in the slightest bit my intention nor did it cross my mind at all that the fact we're skipping the fight with BigSnek screwed Platina and you over, but looking back at things now, it rings understandable that you wish for sort of a compensation - after all the No-Item-Clause only got revealed before the fight thanks to Platina's sparring with Rhyperior, which in turns threw things around to opt out of the fight instead. I frankly do not have any idea as of now what that favour could look like in- or outta-character, so feel free to hold on it and make use of the favour in any way you wish - after all Kee would be far from intended to deny a lady a wish, whatever that wish would be. ...Unless it ventures into nsfw-territory, that'd be quite uncomfortable and awkward for him.

In other term, I do hope that when we as a party happen to be less involved in an urgent story-ark with a looming boss fight of Shadow-y Landorus over our heads and get sort of a chance to prepare, we get another basically second chance to take on a decent challenge similar like a gigantamaxed 'Mon! By then we hopefully/likely also happen to be stronger in terms of battling!~

A chunk of exp, plus the assistance of some of the NPCs against a Lando fight adjusted for a larger group.  There would have been some ramifications plot-wise as well due to the extra time taken (Lando would have defeated Gallade and grown stronger because of that).

Sandaconda are capable of inflicting a ton of passive chip damage between Sand Spit and G-Max Sandblast, and I would have expected that to have really worn you guys down in a drawn out fight, so the plan would have been to award more exp for having fewer player characters downed over the course of the battle.  A tall order when you're taking Sandstorm chip at the end of every Round plus an additional 2d6 chip whenever Gmax Sandblast is used.

Noted!  I'll try and stay on top of keeping the thread updated from this point on, though I'm not sure exactly how much of my time participating in UCS 4 is going to take up.

Btw @Spiritmon, I had to fix your initiative on Kogeki's character sheet.  I thought 3 seemed a bit low and I was right!  Since your sheet is set up in such a way that prevents you from using formulas to automatically calculate your initiative, make sure you don't forget to update that (along with your level if necessary) whenever you increase Kogeki's Dex, Survival, or Alert.
