Current Status:
GORI: 3/9 HP, - 3 Pain, - 1 DEX, - 2 S.Defense, Overgrow Stage 2, Item Used, Exhausted
Nalu: 2/*7 HP, Taunted (2R remain), Worried Seeded, Item Knocked Off, - 2 Pain, Burn 2, 4 LD

Battle - Acting 'n Attacking Round 4!
The Urchin in poor condition is recalled.

''Ecclesia it's your turn again, finish him off.''

''
Dragon Breath then Abyssal Undertow!''

Acc:
(3+3+2-2=6d6)

(3+3+2-4=4d6)

She didn't even have a real fight yet. Guess Dyn's last pokemon will show if her overconfidence is warranted.

Not even going to wait for Initiatives, eh?

Ecclessia: 3 + 3 + 1 + (1) She goes second!

Battle - Acting 'n Attacking Round 4!

Once she see you bring out your honking big Dragon, she knowss the game is up. She turns toward her turf toughed simian and gives them a Steely look.

"MONK? Time to go all out."

He looks back, as if to ask if she is certain, before his own expression hardens as he takes a deep breath....

....Before he ROARS at the top of his logs, a FIERCE Aura of Pure Grass Energy erupting forth around him as he *STOMPED* his foot, cause long blades of grass to shot up in the air, spin like a turbine engine, and rocket off rightt at Ecclessia with Full....!

Overgrown Limit Break: Razor Leaves! MONK is spending 1 Will to Ignore Pain for this Move! They're making it Extra Lethal too for MORE DAMAGE, sensing that the Dragon can handle it!!!
Accuracy: DEX (*3) + 2 + *3 + 2 Actions - 4 (Extra Lethal) - 1 Accuracy = 5D6 Dice
(6)(5)(5)(4)(6) Jungle Buckshot! Critical Hit!
Damage: STR (3) + 2 + STAB + OG (2) + EL (2) - VIT (3) = 7D6 + 2D6 Lethal Crit Damage!
Due to Limit Break (Ability Mod!), this Move will deal its FULL DAMAGE without Roll, and take Full Recoil with 5 Guaranteed Damage from it!!!
Ecclessia takes 9 Lethal Damage; 6/6* HP, - 2 Pain!!
GORI Knocks himself Out from the backlash, losing his Typing and becoming DEEPLY Exhausted (-2)

...And before you both knew what hit you, it was over. Ecclessia staggered from the horrendous last ditch 'screw you!' from the deadly ape, before they took a deep breath and steadied themselves the best they could.

Dragon Hide (Ecclessia is Disobeying Orders!)
3 + 4 + 2 - 2 - 2 = 5D6
(5)(5)(4)(6)(5) Crit Status!
Ecclessia's Defense Stats are increased by 2 AND she gains + 1 Damage Negation!

Safeguard
(3)(1)(5)
*Fwing!* She ain't getting Statused this match, at least for 4 Rounds!

The juggler slumps as your sea drake managed to tank the LB Razor Leaf and set-up, heaving a great big *Siiiigh* as she recalls her fallen comrade.

"Darn it...what have you been feeding that Dragon for it to eat a Grass nuke to the face? 'Cause that'd be nice to know when training my next Mon!"

They send out a G-Darmanitan, one of the most feared Mons in the world, able to sweep and clean up entire team!

....And he promptly collaspes on one arm and lazes about, not caring one iota of a bit about their opponent.

"Hey, can you do me a favor? Churn this lazy bum's ass into ice cream. Guy has gotten too cocky even since he's Evolved, so if you can knock him donw a peg maybe he'd actually go back to being his sweet self again!"

The frigid ape scoffs and rolls his eyes, further dismissing things. Ecclessia, predictably, does not take being snubbed well, letting out a booming growl as she stomps forward to teach this overgrow morsel a lesson it will never forget!

G-Darm. will go last in all Initiatives, and waste his First Action.

Battle - Acting 'n Attacking Round 5!

Frankly baffeled at everything that happened this round he takes a sigh of relief when the enemy decided to laze about.

''Good call setting up girl. Now Dragon Breath and Abyssal Undertow again I guess?, Might as well try and squeeze in another Dragon Hide after.''

@Spiritmon

Quote:I think I going with the Stealth route. Hopefully, the confusion from the goons and the shadows will give me a better chance to escape.

To increase the odds of escape, I gonna use 8 XP to increase my Survival from 1 to 2. Use a Will Point to increase the odds. If I could increase with more Will Points I would, unfortanely I can only use 1 Will Point.

Lets hope this works. Please dice, I dont want to get caugh by those bastards!

Stealth: Getting Away from the Goons!
DEX (4) + Survival (2) + Stealth (1) + 1 (???)  - 2 HURT - 1 Exhaust + 1 Will = 5D6 Dice + 1; Need at least 3 Successes to make a clean getaway, or 1 to make a not so discrete sneak towards escape.
(3)(5)(3)(4)(3) + 1 Exact Success

Taking a deep, deep breath and wiping the blood off yourself, you draw upon every last scape of finesse and the experience of creeping away from all sorts of stuff on your travels before slowly moving through the shadows, trash cans, dumpsters, and other random stuff in the alleys. It was harrowing, through and through - at no time your safety was guaranteed, as you held your breath as the goons passed your spots several times and had their Pokemon out hunting too. One of them was a Ghastly, and you nearly freaked out when it phase just ahead of your hiding spot.

In the end, though, you did escape, completely losing the pursuit of those horrible, nasty, no good 'BB' punks. You hear a loud, BOOMING *SCREAM* of purest, undiluted Wrath, followed by the far more terrified screams of the goons before they are abruptly silenced.

You...you had a feeling they paid dearly for their failure...

No, that doesn't matter.

What matters is that you are free. Safe, and free !

Oz gains 5 XP (Flat, No XP Penalty) and + 1 Will Point; she also gains + 1 Stealth due to the extreme pressure of the situation engraving that situation permenantly into your memory. Oz also gains another tick of Exhaustion, becoming Deeply so (-2 to ALL Rolls, and takes another point of Lethal Damage due to the sheer stress she went through.

Choose 1 Pokemon: They gain a 1 Time Semi-Perma Buff - Savior Be Me. If you end up in another bad situation like that and your Pokemon are Recalled/Held Away, this one Mon will be with you and auto release themselves to defend you. The buff will then expire.

You are back in the main walk way of the Broadwalk Strip; it is now Noon//Encounter 3 for you.

Quote:Kantonian Ninetales, by contrast, only costs $2000 for the visit, and offers more in the way of Bonding, Counseling between Mon and Trainers, fluffy hugs and service (+ Will Gain), and doing Good Luck/Curse Someone Rituals ($1000 Poke each to modulate your Fortune/Getter Better Fortune and Search Rolls or to impart a Curse Tailsman that your Mon can apply to someone to give them Curse (1 Whole Day Use) ).
*cha-ching* Visit with Ninetails paid for (if a publicly available list of 'mons available is present, Darren will snap a photo of it to send to the group later)

The three free coffees are as follows:
As for books (*cha-ching*), lore please. (7D6 roll)

It is, so snap away! As for what those Mons are, I've pretty much listed them out + examples of Mons that could still 'fit in' with the theme they have going on. One of the less obvious ones is the Mamoswine line , the Hypno line (specifically Drowzee), and Heatmor, as well as a few Tandor Mons (including one of the Fossils, if I recall correctly). Pretty much any Mon that is broadly similar to a fox or ferret is lumped together under 'fox' . Their also few entries labeled 'exotic' and nothing else - you either have to know about them to request their service (like the Paradoxes or something like a specific Zoroark) or take a gamble.

You are escort up the stairs and to a Japanesse/Old Tohjo style room, complete with heated tea table, rice paper walls with beautiful scrolls of caligraphy and classic art, and light incense burning in a braiser on the tablet.

Sitting on a bean bag-like counch was a gorgeous K-Ninetales, who lifted their head from their pillow to favor you with a regal gaze...

...And then let out a sharp *Gasp!* at your bedraggled appearance and torn clothing, immediately dropping airs and rushing over to inspect you. Once she see it is only cosmetic damage now she heaves a *Sigh* of relief before leaving close and wrapping you in a hug with her tails, as if to say 'There there. Let me soothe you after a rough day...'

W/Chloe - She becomes VERY Happy with the drink and cuddles up right next to you! Chloe gains MORE Happiness, - 1 Damage from the Next Fire Move for 2 Encounters!
W/Beedrill the taste of Honey reminds them of their home.... Beedrill gains + 1 Happiness, and progress towards more Loyalty.
W/ You gain a Will Point between the Coffee and being tenderly pampered by Ninetales, and feel better protected from Fairy shenanigans for the next FOUR Encounters!

If you want to request any Extra Services or the Ninetales do something, now is the time!

As for the Book ...
(3)(3)(4) (2)(5)(5) (1)
You manage to find a book titled 'How to Groom and Care for Your Fluffy Critter!' by Sarah B. Soffee . You manage to read 1/2 of it while in the care of Ninetales, gaining + 1 Dice to any Grooming Rolls you do for your Pokemon, and + 2 for 'Fox' and 'Phant' Mons! When you finish reading it, you can guarantee 1/2 Successes instead for those same Mons. Holding the Book makes it easier to Groom Mons, especially Fox/Phant ones!

The Gargyph pauses at your counter offer, before spreading his wings out.

"Groom My Feathers, Wipe Off Dirt, and Clean Up the Mess Made."

"Leave, and Do Not Bother Me Again."

"If Done, and Berry Given, Apology Will Fully Be Accept."

Better, or more humiliating to be the one having to fix your comrades mistakes in so servile a manner? Will your Pride be able to take the hit to end things amicably...? Or will your Inner Umbreon Genes flair up and show this fossilized pigeon what it means to DARE make such demeaning demands of you...?!

(Busyyy taking notes about new Spritzee and taking in all the new information about it, so please apologize if I shorten up the response on that here!)
(Mika, I've got the response to you in-game message typed up and saved as a draft, but if it's fine I'm saving it for now aka later when I'm done with more Encounter Slots!)

How that smol little Spritzee appears...not just unfazed but truly PLEASED over having a new gauntlet'ed Master and Wielder earns him an tender headpat and endearing look - one that Bernhard feels comfortable enough to express here; given he's all alone, hecking exhausted, semi-magic-locked aka vulnerable, and his mind and emotions being an utter mess because the former run-down with Morgana has been a willlld emotional rollercoaster once more in a bad and good sense. Thankfully though, he's got all the time now to unwind, savour the by now probably cold tea himself, feed Spritzee whatever treats are left on the breakfast table, and integrate their SPE to the Gauntlet - all while acknowleding and appraising them displaying their moves and powers.

How they, however, are utterly fixated and enticed by gems is not missed by Bern, it is in fact curiously noted. "Having an eye and love for the prettiest of stones, haven't you? Well..... Consider yourself quite lucky, blessed if you wish, for I DO have a quite particular one in my posession that might satisfy and capture you..."

Carefully, meaningfully and theatralically so to ensure he's got Spritzee's FULL ATTENTION, Bernhard reaches into the inside-pocket of his fine Sky-Scimitar-robe, and what he pulls out from there to carefully present to Spritzee...
It is placed down with utter care in front of the smol pink pufball. "Say, wouldn't you...wish to hold onto that for me and in my name? If you are willing to promise me that, whatever may happen and occure, you shall not ever loosen your grip on it, never misplace it, not avert your watchful eyes from it. Keeping a tight hold on this...treasure in my name, ever and ever please you shall, and you are allowed to be its holder - if you wish and desire to be, that is."

(Note: Spritzee didn't came holding an Item, did he? But if he did, we could just swap it.)

Well, Sylvia won’t be playing at Stylist alone… Sir and Murkrow are both asked (told) to join in (if Gargryph lets them). Sylv’s not one to treat it as a blow to her pride, either - rather, she takes joy in helping Gargryph look as positively stunning as she can. Maybe she'll even try some stylist-y small talk - ask about interesting places to go in town, gossip, and such. And by the end… well. Maybe it’s her inner Umbreon genes, but she does take some pride in the final result…

Edit: stylistic goal: Shiny Tenebris
(Geez, wish I had realized I could backlog and shiny hunt sooner… Shiny Tenebris is *gorgeous*)

(Alright, let's start getting Seddi caught up now)

"Hopefully that Flutter doesn't give us much trouble.  I'm not exactly equipped to deal with it at the immediate moment if it does become a larger issue."

...and then a thought occurs to him.

"...now that I think about it though, there's a non-zero chance I'm gonna be wranglin' that critter tonight, whether I have a Steel type or not.  I can think of one very good reason why there might be a Paradox wanderin' around outside of its usual territory.  Might have Ianai to thank for that.  Might be the closest thing to a Wandering Hurricane that she can lure in.  Could be wrong and it's an entirely 'natural' phenomena, of course, but..."

After leaving that thought hanging, Seddi moves on to other topics.

"I'll let Akamu know.  Plannin' to meet up with him later for a little sword practice.  Ran into a Blademaster Kimono Girl at the bar last night, and she had an interestin' proposition for him since he expressed interest in learnin' how to use a fancy blade he'd found.  Even gave us her card."

It's not really related to their research, but he'll show Sada' the business card and the fancy sword emblem on it.  "Called her order the 'Blade Lineage'.  Very mysterious lady."

No further comment needed on the video update needed!  He fully expects that he might receive some questions from the group if Sada' is too busy to answer them herself.

As for the political talk...

"If the suits are gettin' antsy, best I get that contract signed soon to lock those plans in.  Should probably get goin' and knock on their door soon as I can."

----------------------------

Encounter 1:  Signing the contract to take down the GWH! (assuming it takes up an encounter slot.  Otherwise, I can think of something else to fill the time!)

Seddi makes his way to the relevant area of the governmental sector of the city.  If there's one place not completely shut down in this lockdown, it's going to be the offices of the guys trying to run everything smoothly.  He has no doubts that he's going to be walking into something chaotic and stressful, but everyone here is on a time limit, including him, darn it!  They want him to put his life on the line and bail their sorry asses out?  They're gonna have to stick to his schedule, however he can arrange it!

Somewhat deep in thought, maybe he wanders past a familiar looking Espeon wandering around the shared embassy grounds along the way...he's not looking for her though, so if she wants to talk, she's gonna have to start the conversation.

(3+4+2-4=5d6)

(3+4+2-6+1(Will)=3d6+1)

(3+4+2-8=1d6)

Current Status - Ecclessia = 9 Lethal Damage; 6/6* HP, - 2 Pain!!

Battle - Acting 'n Attacking Round 5!

You hardly needed to speak before your own arrogant Mon was spewing forth mystical flames and great swirling gouts of Water, incensed with all these stupid primates (including their Trainer!) and wanting to vent it AAAALLLLL over them!

Dragon Breath 1!
(5)(2)(3)(5)(2) Hit!
Damage: SPE (3) + 2 + STAB - INS (3) - AV (1) = 2D6 Damage
(5)(4) BABO takes 2 Damage; 10/12 HP, - 2 Pain!
(6)(1)(2) *Fwzp!* They're Paralyzed! - 2 DEX!

The frosty ape jolts at the intense flames, trying to put them and the tingling out to no avail! In combination with this + it's laziness, his 1st Action is still Skipped!

Abyssal Undertow
(6)(3)(3) + (*6) Spend that Will Point! Hit!
Damage: SPE (3) + 2 + STAB + CSH - INS (3) - AV (1) = 3D6 Damage!
(1)(1)(4) No Damage!
(5)(6)(-) The black waters spell their DOOM! BABO is Cursed - All their Rolls will have (1)(1)(1)  (-1.5 Successes) added to them, and Misses and Rolls with more Fails than Successes will have negative consequences for this Pokemon! It also can't be cured via most Items and overlaps with other Status; it either has to wear off on its own or you need a specialist to remove it!

Dyn pales as she recognizes the tell-tell signs of nefarious Magicks at play but holds her breath, letting her BABO sink or swim as it originally pleased to hammer in. With him, however, he has become well and truly pissed at the giant dragon of the Alolan Blue. It's going to bother him so much with its nasty Moves. Then how about he shows them his.

The fearsome ape raised both first to the air, before SLAMMING them into the ground!

Avalanche 2!
Accuracy: DEX(*2) + Fight(*4) + Brawl (4) + 1 ANGRY (Trait!) + GT (1 [Ability Mod!]) - 2 Pain - 4 Actions = 4D6 + (1)(1)(1)
(3)(4)(2)(5) + (1)(1)(1) Hits Ecclessia AND It Too!
Damage: STR (*6 [Gorilla Tactics Mod!]) + *6 + STAB - VIT (*5) - DH (1) = 8D6 - 1 Damage for Ecclessia, 9D6 -1 for him!
(2)(4)(5)(1) (4)(6)(5)(4)+ (1)(1)(1) Ecclessia takes 3 Damage; 3/6* HP, - 2 Pain!!
(3)(6)(3)(4) (5)(4)(2)(2)(1) BABO takes 3 Damage; 7/12 HP!

You can't stack the same buff, so Ecclessia yet again ignores your Orders to continue to pound away at the. Stupid. Arrogant. Chimp!

Twister 3- Spending a Will Point to guarantee its hits!
(-) + (*6) HIT!
Damage: 3 + 2 + STAB - INS (3) - AV (1) = 2D6 Damage!
(5)(3) BABO takes 1 Damage; 6/12 HP, - 3 Pain!!!
(4)(4) Nope!

*Slam!* Down comes another...!

Avalanche - Ability Mod lets it spam One Move up to 3 Times a Round!!!
12D6 - 3 Pain - 6 Actions = 3D6 + (1)(1)(1) Dice
(1)(3)(-) + (1)(1)(1) Welp!

Ice erupts around and through HIM instead, sending him flying and bleeding backwards until he hits the ground with a loud SMACK! Move Deals Damage ONLY to him, and he takes 1/2 Recoil from it too! He also doesn't Resist this attack, and takes Lethal Damage too boot!
(5)(3)(4)(6) (5)(6)(3)(3)(3)
(2)(5)(5)(1)(5)

BABO bounces and tumbles across the street until he comes to a stop face down, stone cold Fainted and leaving a long smear of blood from where he 'launched off' of.

Immediately Dyn rushes over an applies a Full Restore to her friend, eliminating the Lethal Damage but not save them from the depths of torpor. She looks down at her gelid ape with a complicated expression, before heaving out a heavy sigh and returning them and walked over to you with a stern expression....

....And gives you a slight smile as she hands you your winnings!

"Well, footer, ya beat me. Not fair and square, but its not like I wasn't pulling every dirty trick in the book to keep up. You got yourself one tough as nails team - whatever reason ya came here to Sutalor, I think you'll fit right in with the rest of us rough 'n tumble weirdos. Here."

In addition to your Poke, you also got her Number - now you can call and rechallenge her in the future, and she can call you if you wish!

"Consider it extra for all the trouble my apes put ya through, and teaching my boy a lesson he'll never forget. He needed a hard loss to get that head of his out of his Icy rear - maybe now he'll listen and stop acting like he's above it all.

*Sighs*

"Welp, that's enough excitement today for me! Hope ta catch ya later, Akamu. And next time I'll be ready with brand new show stoppers that'll trip you up proper!"

With that said Juggler Dyn bustles off, heading to the nearest Center!

You won! *Play the FF7 Remake Victory Theme!!* All your Mons gain 4 + 2 XP, the extra coming from tanking all the Lethal Damage they got and not ONE of them being KOed! You receive 3 XP, and remember that Conditional Orders, Vague Orders, and Conditional Will Points can be invaluable tools too in combat, when trying to obfuscate Orders or have a backup plan. Conditional Will Points do lock you in to only one Set of Actions, but you don't waste Will that way of ensuring Successes either, so fair trade!

This ends your 1st? Encounter - it is now Morning // E2 for Akamu. Due to most of your Team being put through the meat grind, you'll need to leave all the Members of this Battle at a Center to be Healed while you do your next Encounter with the remaining Mons on hand; alternatively, you skip your 2nd Encounter Slot to Bond and Train with your existing Mons while you wait for the rest of your team to Heal Up. If the first is choosen, what do you want to do? Explore a part of the City, a Part someone else did, Hunt for Mons, hunt for more Trainers, Treasure Hunt/Wander, etc. ?

Choose.
