[Meta Thread] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure 2: The Wild Lands

From @Spiritmon -  I must prove my worth as a chosen too. I might not be strong as you guys, but I really want to prove that I not a burden. You can watch the battle if you want.

You know, every time Oz dogs on herself as a Trainer I can't help but laugh.  She's got some of the strongest individual Mons out of everyone in the party, and unlike everyone else hers don't overly rely on ramp up/set up (Like Iron Leaves or 'Muse' / Bern) or need more time to grow into their full strength (Everyone else). Hell, she arguably doesn't even need Mega Evolution to pose a series threat to the other protags, if push came to shove. But because she has all the self-confidence of a Whimpod and got into a few bad match ups she thinks she's lacking and has the constant need to prove herself. Makes for good dramady, if nothing else. Hopefully the next fight dispels that notion, even though it won't be an easy one....

Thats the intention! Oz is kinda inspired by Shiva in certain aspects, but in a little more fiercing spirit. Shiva in my opinion was a incredible trainer and really strong in her own way, and to be honest have more confidence than Oz have. She is the archetype of a character who is strong, but doesn't have the confidence on herself. Heck, even before the "events" we talk before, Oz already had a self-confident issue, and after what happened? That increase 10x over. She might be strong in sheer power, but mentality? She is weak. But maybe she grow out of her shell someday and be more confident with covenant of witches.

Plenty of opportunities for Oz to indulge in her very own Hero's Journey over the course of the campaign! It'll definitely take a while, and won't be easy, aaand I'd bet she won't enjoy it at times, but I like to believe Oz is fully capable of improving her self-confidence to a great degree. And I'm curious to to accompany on her path; outta-chara by reading along, in-chara by having Bern's protective instinct being triggered by a scared Oz. Can't let a young lady that gifted him crafting ingredients venture into dangerous Sutalör all by herself, not even he is that oblivious.

Spirit, before you get any ideas though (more /j than serious) - Bern's 1. already taken and 100%ly faithful, 2. with his 47 years waaay to old for Oz.

It's even funnier when you consider the Move did more Damage to the Old Lady's team by and large after all is said and done. Illusion totally fooled her and her Mons, especially after Bethy 'sold' the act with using Life Dew and a supporting Move like Icy Wind. Had it not then she'd had elected to do something else entirely...

Very funny indeed! I a little worried now since Fortuna is now out of comission because of the high power level done. Good thing the Old Lady already bring already get back both of her teamates out of battle. She is now getting very strange vibes with Bethy. But now she already make sure the plan was doing okay! Life Dew is set. And two of her team mates have serious damage, while Bethy is at full health. And my Ace Pokemon was not even bring out yet. I feel pretty much confident in this fight. Time to bring the next Pokemon!

Indeed! I said this once, I said it twice, and I said it again: In my eyes, I always considered Shiva be kinda of Heart rival. Not in a negative way, but in a positive way. A motivation for him to get stronger and fight her. Sadly we never had the chance in see Shiva and Heart last battle conclusion. Not gonna lie, it would be AWESOME see Heart and Shiva having one last fight. Heart with his Haxorus Koa and Shiva with her Cottonee. Dragons vs Fairies, one of the oldest rivalries of Pokemon.

Yeah. Oz journey will not be easy, and she have a lot scars with her. Both phisically and mentally, but I also think she does have a potential in become stronger in spirit. She stronger than she looks, and not gonna lie, I excited to see more in the future!

Relax. I don't see Oz and Bernard in any romantic way. I see them more like friends or even maybe a apprendice and mentor relantioship kind of. Since Bernard does have quite a style of professor figure, considerelly how wise he looks and how Oz is quite fearfull towards Scimitars but does have a lot to learn with him. In certain aspects, Oz and Bernard have a few things in common. This will make sense in future when the time comes. For now, keep that words I mentioned on mind.

She expels a thick plume of smoke, before bringing her two fists together with a sharp *BANG!* , her skin now taking on a metallic, blue sheen.

SWEET MOTHER OF ARCEUS! Don't tell me she is Scimitar?! Or Magi? Or a Earthpower user?! No matter what she is, now things scalated A LOT!

Okay...calmdown Spiritmon. You can do this. Yeah, she looks tough but she is still human. Kinda. All that I need is to be extra careful. That Daikatuna however is dangerous. Hecate will have lots of problems against him. Hmm think...

Now now, don't do anything Zephy would disapprove of! She likes that silly cowboy, and she'd deploy her Smol Disappointed Face for forgetting one of the cardinal rules of Jolly Cooperation - NOT torching your allies over understandable complications. Besides, picking Fights over Morgana ? Such an absurd thing to do - anything that causes her trouble is either out of your league to deal with, easily handled by her in far worse ways than Bern would ever dream of, or she just doesn't feel the need to 'settle' things for myriad reasons.

Also, if Zephy were to ever find out about this expect equal parts deep amusement and sincere empathetic 'Omph!' / "Oh, I can FEEL the awkward gut punch" at the whole mess that is now a Seddi/Bern/Morgana Triangle of Wack Interpersonal Drama.
