[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Grab six Pokemon out of the PC, and you'll get to use 4 of them in battle against me, standard rules for most things. This is a Normal Gym, so no consumables or technology! Held Items are OK, and my Zigzagoon have dredged up quite a few! Let me shuffle some of those around to, while you're at the PC. The prize is a badge and a great Held Item! To battle! o/"

"To battle, YES!" \o Shiva would have never believed that she'd look forward to a Gym Battle instead of being over-worried about it. Does Tanuki actually 'participate' in the tradition of carrying a towel today?

Sheet's been updated while the Party Doc is as well in the means of not spoiling her Team, her first Pokemon to be sent out.... it lands on the ground with a *thump* before it spreads its leaflike wings widely and ascends into the air by vigorously flapping them, lowering his head a little to not hit the various tubes.

Well since they didn't get the hint the first time, time to drop a second one to see if we can get some peace and quiet...

"...it'd be nice if everyone would disperse and go about their business for the day, please.  I know she's a rare pokemon, but getting so much attention can be more stressful than not."

Since Tropius starts thrashing her tail to accentuate Nathan's point, the crowd finally takes the hint and leaves. Calmed, Tropius starts uprooting saplings and bushes and eating them, roots and all.

Duskull, heads out to the south. A few minutes later, a Stantler comes bounding past! Excellent pray for Manectric, maybe a little bigger than Genie would normally go for.

There's a problem, though: Duskull hasn't come back into view.

Terra frown evolves from its usual stoicism to full blown severity once it dawned on him that his spooky specter hasn't returned. He snapped his sight towards Melly and Genie and lets out a high pitched whistle to get their attention, which was immediately follow by him barking out orders.

"Melly, Genie, Duskull has gone missing. *Looks at his dog* Melly, pursue Stanler alone. Catch them or not, its good practice.  Genie, with me. We will search for him. You from the sky, and me from ground."

Not a moment after saying that the martial man was already on the trail of Duskull, with his Dragon Djinni of the Desert rushing ahead in the skies to assist and the lightning wolf continuing the hunt!

Order: Melly will continuing hunting the Stanler by herself (She has a Chesto Berry on her, btw), while Terra and Genie form a search party to look for Duskull, with the dragoness searching from the air and him sweeping the ground. Let's gogogo , mates!

Manectric's Dex: (5)(1)
Stantler's Dex: (5)(3)(5)

Stantler escapes, but Manectric gets to have a grand old time chasing it through the meadow. He does manage to zap it a few times right before it disappears into the brush.

Survival+Alert: (3)(1)(4)(6)(6)(1)(3) = 3 successes
Duskull will use its own Survival+Stealth: (6)(5)(4)(1)(1)(6) = 3 successes

Terra and Genie don't catch up with Duskull, but they do find a Drowzee unconscious in one direction, SW. That way leads toward a spur of the Great Divide. With Terra's high Survival, he can be pretty confident Duskull was the perpetrator of this hunt.

Yeah, Tanuki also has a towel! A white and plain one.

Much like with Heart, Tanuki sends a Pokeball spinning through the tubes, and a mini panda comes teetering out!

Tropius: (6) = 6 = 12
Spinda: (3) + 8 = 11

Hungry giant sauropod, that's for sure.  But given that she probably needs all that nutrition due to still being a 'newborn', Nathan doesn't really have many complaints for the time being.

In fact, this is a good opportunity to observe how D?-Tropius uses Cut...it might not be the ultra powerful version, but it is still a strong field move.  And perfect for trimming those smaller plants for easy consumption.

Nathan also takes some time to try and get Pulse and Porygon-Z to focus on getting back in practice.  They've been out of the action for awhile, so some practice with their STABs would likely be a good refresher.

Nathan was going to maybe try getting in some tutoring practice to see how well he might do with it...but then he remembers that he didn't bring Grid with him.  Derp!  Ah well, he can spend the time reviewing what he remembers Shiva doing instead...

Training session for D?-Tropius, Porygon-Z, and Pulse!

Oh, and how are those Casteliacones that Pulse was keeping refridgerated doing?
They both still there?  Need to question the Frost Rotom about that during this time, too.

While the Electric Fenrir was having a blast scaring that poor old Stantler, her master and his dragoness were distinctly not upon the discovery of Duskull's 'catch' and the heading it indicated they were heading: The Great Divide. Terra's severe frown had transitioned to full blown thunderous, his eyes shadowed and hands clenched into all to menacing fists, while Genie outwardly looked calm to the world, were it not for her narrowed eyes, her furiously twitching tip of her tail, and the humming of her wings turning almost grating.

After only a few minutes staring at the evidence before him, the simple monk straightened up and let out a whistle that resounded throughout the area, and within seconds Melly had rushed to their side, using Quick Attack to cover the distance. Looking over at both his feminine partners, the rugged wander then looked directly at the spur his spooky specter most likely and pointed at it.

"Genie, Melly, the Big Hunt is over. Now, we hunt Duskull. Move out."

Saying that with utmost gravity and finality, Terra and his Pokémon set out to find their newest partner. Come hell's peak and craggy doom, he would NOT let his Duskull escape him and his command without a damning amount of effort.

Orders: Summon Melly to Terra's side, then have all three begin searching AND hunting for Duskull. Genie will be searching by sky like usual, Melly scout ahead with Quick Attack and use her keen senses to sniff out the trail the Ghost has gone, while the mountain of the man basically acts to double check/sweep the areas that his search party has already covered to pick up anything they might have missed. My character isn't going to let his newest partner try to escape him and his attempts to whip them into a noble exemplar of its species without a struggle, so this hunt will not abate in the slightest until its literally impossible for Terra or any of his Pokémon to continue it. He's THAT determined.

Round 1, press Start!

With much interest and attention Shiva tries to path the tossed Ball takes within the tubes (Tropius does as well as his head snaps around whenever he hears something), she blatantly failed to smirk and laugh in a held back but joyful manner as a cute Spinda came stumbling from somewhere, looking just as confused as her own one after Yena toyed with her yesterday. As much as she enjoyed that she had to avert her gaze a little or at least take care to not watch Spinda tumbling around for too long or else she'll gets just as dazed. She calls out for Tropius and advices the same thing to him, "Stay concentrated and focused on your opponent though! Just...not TOO concentrated. Rather absorb the hidden nutrients of the Seed I gave you to become even greener or sweeter in case of your fruit, then try to land a hit with Razor Leaf, please."

"I'd almost BET you got that Spinda from somewhere within Mount Sentry, didn't you, Tanuki?" ^v^ *telling smile and crossing of arms*

---------------------
Accuracy Roll Growth 1: 3 Dext + 3 Survival + 3 Nature - 3 Actions = 6d6
Effect: Grants Tropius +1 Strength as he becomes greener.
Secondary Effect: Sucker Punch fails if that is Spinda's order!

Accuracy Roll Razor Leaf 2: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel - 1 reduced Accuracy - 4 Actions = 4d6
Accuracy Roll Razor Leaf 3: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel - 1 reduced Accuracy - 5 Actions = 3d6
Damage Roll: 4*Strength if Growth succeeds + 2 power of the move + 1 STAB + 1 held Miracle Seed = 8d6. whoawh.
Additional notes: Ironically has a High Crit chance on stumbling Spinda, hits all foes so it's not affected by Tangled Feet.
