[Meta Thread] Pokerole Mystery Dungeon: Primal Shadows
I was backing it up for a while as we went along, and yeah it started to become time consuming.

Dog is doing very well! We get to go on a backpacking trip sometime this fall, and she just went on a family vacation with me to upstate New York. Went kayaking!

Finished the urban fantasy book and did some revisions. Now I'm letting it sit for a few months and then I'll edit it again. In the meantime I'm starting a book about a warlord.

Very well. I vote for sneak attack too. Let me just check what moves I have at the moment.

Edit: Right now these are the moves I have availabe at the moment:

I could either make a buff move on myself and get Bulk Up and then get forward in Bite and Shadow Punch (hopefully it could possible Chandelure Flinched). Or I could start right away Bite and then go forward with Shadow Punch and Shadow Blitz. Since Shadow Blitz becomes SE against No-Shadow Pokemon, it could be useful against Chandelure.

A little question though Dragonstrike: Shadow Moves kinda work like Nuclear Moves? It is Double Super Effective against Pokemon with dual types, or it is just Super Effective regardless if have mono type or single the target?

I was thinking in use Foresight to make my Normal moves hit Chandelure, however because we dont have much time I dont think it is a good idea.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Shadow moves are a bit more balanced than Nuclear moves are.  They can't get STAB since Shadow is more like a classification than a full type, and they can only ever do x2/+1 SE damage if used against a non-Shadow pokemon (and ×0.5/-1 damage to Shadow pokemon).  The target's type is not a factor at all in their effectiveness.

Perfect. Still, a +1 SE is still good. It is guarantee damage and thats good.

So @Lord Windos what you think it is the best approach? Quick buff before land our attacks? Or attack right away with our Sneak attack?

We attack right away - Chandelure NEEDS to be downed ASAP. Shadow Punch would be best for this, as it can't miss and will at bare minimum deal 1 Damage to the target. Chandelures have Base 5 HP I think in the Corebook, so it likely has between 6 - 9 HP Total without factoring Surprises! or healing Items.

Since Kee is being automated at the moment, I guess I'll send in my Orders when I have a free moment later.

Per Phantom's instructions, Kee actually isn't being autoed atm.  The autoing was only needed until last Thursday.

Because if Platina can manage to go before any of the Special Attackers then Metal Sound is practically a free + 2 Damage to everyone with a Non-Normal Special Move (which I think everyone but maybe Kogeki has).
If you guys are going to engage, I'll roll intiatives for everyone, friend and foe alike.  Just ignore the initiatives for the wild pokemon for the duration of the surprise round since they'll be ambushed.  No takesy backsies once I roll initiatives though!  You'll be committed to fighting at that point.
Just let me know when you've settled on a course of action.
Fair enough. I want to engage, as I said, but if Spiritmon and Phantom doesn't want to then that is that. Platina is Leader for this mission, but I don't want to drag my friends into a fight they don't want.

Oh, I'm absolutely for engaging in a battle against these three wild Pokemon. Multiple reasons; I want to collect XP, it itches me and Kee in-chara for a fight, Chandelure!!!, it's been a while since we had a fight and more reasons I can't think of at the moment, so onwards with rolling initiatives please!~ I will instantly go and give that ghost chandeliere a super-effective STAB-scream from the bottom of Kee's lungs, that creature needs to be disarmed as soon as only possible - what a Chandelure does in an icy place like this is somewhat beyond me (is it collecting lost souls that got caught when the temple was destroyed?), but nevertheless.

And it's correct, Kee's back under my control. I just had no interesting reactions for him that'd be worth typing a response, but I'll quick-react to this and that in a post that contains battle orders.

Ohhhh, do you have pictures/photos of your doggo, maybe, pretty please? Would be curious to see how Thunder looks and has grown by now!~

Gates has a very interesting collection of wild pokemon in a lot of its mystery dungeons, especially for themed ones lacking enough of a particular type to fill out its roster.

You wouldn't believe how many dungeons have wild Braviary in them.

Initiatives rolled for Team OS and the wild mons.  Have fun and don't faint!

Welp, their is a consensus to SNEAK ATTACK DAT CHANDELURE , so I'll get to make the Post ASAP! Hopefully it'll be dealt with swiftly!

Another question about Ambushes first, though: Do they consist of a Singular Round in of themselves, or are they just counted as a part of a regular Round? If it's the later, the group needs to make Action Sequences for everything else and make plans if we can't KO the Chandelure/it just won't Faint easily. If it's the former, however, then that means our Attacks get the Single Action Bonus.
